We love our grandsons Kai & Caidens Tk teacher Mrs Ortega. She's a great communicator and gives a lot of positive criticism. The boys often come home saying little things that Mrs Ortega tells them and have even stated we did this and our teacher said it's okay to have feelings but we need to react differently. Our grandsons speech pathologist Mrs Wolfe is also great, we definitely see an improvement in the last few months, the annunciation of words are more clear. Mr Deaver the principal is out early before school everyday greeting the students and high fives the kiddos with lots of encouragement ! My parents are retired educators and I know it's a tough job and it definitely doesn't pay enough! Most teachers hers do this job because their heart is in the right place. The principal should pay more attention to the teachers he hires , they all yell and mistreat little kindergarten kids there's always kids crying even the older ones , really bad teachers!!!! Hello? I swear, my daughter came home crying after attending this school..she said the students there were mean! And the principal and the assistant principal...were literally not professionals. The assistant principal...went up against her ear getting mad at her for wearing a beanie! What is wrong with you guys! One star. If she comes home again for complaining, I will make a letter and a complaint on this school so this will stay onto your files! And by the way, your school sucks. Teachers are rude and disrespectful, they say they understand you but they really don't, there is drama everywhere, and most of the teachers are just bad, I've only had 2 good teachers out of all of the 8 years I spent there. They also gave us unnecessary work. Please do better. read more

My child attends this school and I was shocked to see the teachers yelling at the kids and cussing in front of them. I would not recommend this school to any person. This school needs to learn how to hire better teachers. read more

My cousin has been attending this school for a few years now and is always getting bullied. Yes he has told teachers and staff at the school but they don't do anything. My little sister also attends this school and has told me she gets picked on. It's extremely upsetting hearing about this and nothing being done about it. The teachers also have no respect, I went to go pick up my little sister from school and the same teacher is always cussing around the little kids and complaining how her day always starts good then ends bad. Wouldn't even give them 1 star but have too, My child just started the year here at Highgrove, disappointed in his teacher Mrs Beckel she doesn't try to help students that struggle which was my child, his teacher as no clue as to what 504 plan was! Omg! And ur a teacher,! My child has a 504 plan and the teacher, and supervisor of 504 plan Nanie dropped the ball on it and my son is the one who pays for it with his education, I continued to ask about it and make suggestions to keep my son pushing through. Half the year is already gone he's falling behind. And the BULLYING at this school is terrible the monitors don't pay attention my son doesn't even rely on the outside monitors cause he knows they will do nothing about it. My child was kneed in the back a couple of time kicked in the groin area twice and all done on purpose my child is a kind and loving person and to endure this kind of treatment just frustrates me, he's not safe physically and his education is at risk with this school. Good luck to anyone going to this school.
