    Letter from Mr. Forrest
    Gladys L.

Wow, you really have lying issues. Even after letting 10 months pass, after all emotions have settled, I still felt strongly about letting the community know how involved you got in a personal family situation, because that is just insane. Still you speak about the situation with your limited knowledge on what my son's dad told you. Legal action wasn't taken by my son's dad. It was a divorce we were going through and you were just one of his "flying monkeys". He just used you like he uses other people to get what he wants from them. It is crazy for you to be talking about me not wanting my son's dad to see him. What do you know? Or talking about the decision between me and my son's dad not keeping him at HCS, and talking about my son starting over again. How are you getting so involved? Were you going to be part of our negotiations on paying part of that school bill? And then talking about my husband always "willing to come together". You absolutely had no right because for one, that was not your place, and for another you knew nothing! That is insane! Was I divorcing you or my husband, and why were you so involved? You literally knew us for about 3 months. I don't know what he was telling you, but you sure didn't handle this situation well. Did he tell you that I have several police reports on him kicking me and my kids out of our house on several occasions, at all hours of the day and night, or throwing a lamp at me when I was 6 months pregnant, and him going to jail for it, or cheating on me time and time again, or his drug problem, or me having to get a restraining order because of his threats that I better watch my back. I'm sure all you know is about the lies he told you. Maybe you should not get so personally involved to a point of bias. When I was pregnant with my son I even had to go to Harvest church to reach out for help because of the abuse endured by him. I believe if you are that easily manipulated by what someone tells you then you should not be in charge of leading or being trusted with children. You are definitely not a safe person. Everyone needs to know that you are a liar and there is no other way to put it. You NEVER made attempts to meet and there was NO constant refusals from me. We met once and that was because I requested to meet. Your reply is full of lies and I am even more shocked then before. I don't know what your problem is, but you will reap what you sow. Just reading your response tells me you have issues. Any other professional would not have responded like you have, or would ever act the way you did. I've read other reviews about you and you are always denying and never apologizing. My other kids went to HCS when Mr. Campbell was principal and it was such a blessing. Having this experience with you as the principal has been a nightmare. I have been going to Harvest Church for 25 years and you have been the only thing that has made my experience with Harvest a bad one. No matter how this has gone down, the enemy will be defeated. You honestly just need to be removed from leadership at HCS before you hurt another family. And you say you are willing to meet face to face. For what? I want everyone to know the truth, and this is how to do it. I am not lying about anything so I definitely have peace that the truth be told. I don't need to meet with you face to face to make that happen. If you want to find peace, then you can apologize. I am a very forgiving person. I'm sure my son's dad didn't tell you that either.

First day of the 1st grade. We did not yet realize how important and beneficial Harvest Christian School would be to our boy's foundation!

I'm reviewing this school two years after we left, to share with you how it's affected my oldest, who went for seven years (K-6). I hope this helps you understand why I am so glad we chose Harvest Christian School. My son, now an 8th grader at Chemawa Middle School, appreciates the foundation laid for him at Harvest as it has served him well. He sees the majority of his classmates with vastly different lifestyles than how he's been raised (both academically and spiritually). I asked my son if he wishes he would have stayed in a Christian school environment, and he surprisingly said, "no dad, i'm glad I see how people are in the real world. Some are OK and some are definitely "sus," but I don't hang out with them." So apparently Harvest Christian School is indeed a bubble--and I'm totally ok with that for K-6. He's memorized so much scripture, including this one "Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is--his good, pleasing and perfect will" It makes me so happy to know that the Word of God guides his decisions now, outside of the bubble. My son was introduced to music here in 4th grade. He learned to read music and fell in love with classical music, especially Baroque (Bach, Pachelbel, Beethoven) because of this after school program. Now he plays his trumpet (5 years now), french horn, percussion, piano and is starting to write his own music. He plays the Tron Legacy soundtrack in my truck when we drive and tells me about the instruments being played. The teacher to kid ratio is good, and lots of parents help out. Crazy that on open house nights, with 24 kids in the class, 48+ parents (grandparents, aunts, uncles, etc) show up to support their child. It's this focus on quality family interactions that is now my boy's "normal." Thank you Harvest parents for showing him example after example of a quality family unit. I know that's not Harvest Christian School's doing per se, but it's a value add for sure. Finally, I think the educators here could work ANYWHERE, but they are servant leaders first and foremost. Spend a day volunteering there and you will know it's not about the money, but a calling to be here and spread the love of Jesus to these kids. My son often comes with me to pickup my daughter (who is still attending) and takes about 30 minutes every time to stop in and chat with his favorite teachers. Doesn't that tell you enough?

The teacher doesn't have any problem calling the parents when there is an issue in the class, but when the parent tries calling the teacher back multiple times in a matter of weeks to try to work on a solution together, but gets zero responses. Then it's your child's birthday and you call the teacher to find out when you can bring cup cakes and how many to bring utilizing both lines of communication recommended by the teacher, and still no response, so you bring 24 cupcakes and unfortunately there are 26 students!!!! How unfortunate for those students, and how ashamed should that teacher feel? But this isn't just recent, since day one, we have expressed our concerns with certain subjects that may be a struggle for our child with the school, and after many calls to the school, still no follow up. How are our children supposed to be successful if the school does not build rapport with the parents, especially when you receive a progress report stating "At Risk of Retention", but has not even returned phone calls regarding educational issues??? Adams Elementary is rated an "Improvement Needed" school and over the past few years, I have tried to maintain a positive attitude and thought they were improving and on the path to success. I can see I have clearly been mistaken and only hope the district team will reevaluate the leadership team and find some type of improvement for these children, who are our future, to have the opportunity to be successful by working as a team with the parents. A child's success cannot be done by just one teacher, or just one parent. It is a team effort, and Adams Elementary fails to see that! Sorry for my rant, but I needed to vent as a parent/step parent.

Her presence does not reflect that of a caring educator or a capable leader. In contrast, the office manager and counselor have a far stronger and more positive presence on campus. I have yet to meet a parent who feels positively about the principal, which is concerning. The communication issues families experience stem directly from the culture she has created. She appears disengaged and uninformed, and her leadership style is more suited to an isolated administrative role than a school environment. While the teachers themselves appear decent, her leadership is steering the school in the wrong direction. Being a new school with newer teachers, the campus needs strong, stable guidance... not the disorganization and disconnect that currently exist. I genuinely believe a new principal would dramatically improve the school climate. Unfortunately, that change does not appear to be on the horizon. Given the circumstances, I would recommend families consider a more established school until stronger leadership is in place.

I had to share it here and tag Harvest in most of my posts because this church isn't just a place I go to... it's been part of my life journey. I grew up right here in Riverside, and I've been part of the Harvest family since I was a youth. I remember when the playgrounds were still around, and believe it or not, when we were still parking in the dirt lot to get to church! Those were humble, beautiful beginnings and I've had the incredible privilege of watching this ministry grow from those early days into something so inspiring, so deeply impactful, and still rooted in the same love and truth that started it all. The recent service I attended was nothing short of moving. The worship was powerful and alive, the message was full of biblical truth and real-world relevance, and the presence of God was unmistakable. It wasn't just a church service it was a moment of transformation. You could feel it in the room. You could see it on the faces of people around you. What's even more beautiful is how Harvest Church continues to evolve while never losing its heart. Whether it's the outreach, the youth programs, or the way they care for the community they are always growing, always reaching, always welcoming. The people here aren't just friendly -- they are family. From my earliest memories as a kid to now, this church has stood as a place of hope, purpose, and genuine connection. To anyone who's looking for a place to reignite your faith, build community, or simply find a home Harvest is it. It's more than just a church. It's a legacy, a movement, and a living testimony of what God can do through faithful people and a faithful church. Thank you, Harvest Church, for being a constant in my life and for continuing to lead generations with integrity, vision, and love. I can't wait to see what God does next through you! #HarvestChristianFellowship #RiversideChurch #OldSchoolHarvest #FaithfulFromTheDirtLot #ChurchFamilyForLife #GrowingInGrace
