Fantastic bbq. Best in the city!…read more Wife surprised me with this for my pre-birthday. Didn't know it was Michelin recommended and I understand why. This place tastes amazing. Angus beef brisket was perfect Texas bbq. Juicy, great flavour, perfect flop Short rib is the best beef rib in the city. Juicy, unctuous, meaty. Amazing. Honey garlic wings had excellent smoke. Fantastic. Mac and cheese was delicious and cheesy. Best I've had in toronto. Maple smoked beans were ok. I wouldn't order again though. Poutine has a great gravy that had a nice depth of flavour. One of my favourite poutines. Tri tip had chimichurri on it which was a nice touch. Tougher of meat is not my preference but still had great flavour and smoke. Beef ribs were decent. But short rib better. Of note is that all the beef items are seasoned differently so you can order it all and have different flavours. One thing to know is the place is a bit of a dive. It's not pretty, but boy is it delicious. It does come off a little less clean than it could be. Cashier guy was friendly, but a bit slow. Not a big deal though.

Melts in your mouth good seasoning, smoked perfectly, the ribs with the bbq sauce oh my goodness probably one o the best ribs I ever tasted in my life, and the mashed potatoes was phenomenal. This place definitely knows bbq, and everyone can eat it because they are Halal which is really good, I can eat the ribs all day meat melts in your mouth.

I had visions of California Sandwiches (now open in Scarborough near Warden and Lawrence I think) or Uno Mustachio's in the St. Lawrence Market. Lots of meat, fried eggplant, lots of toppings available (and generous amounts), great bun...sadly not the case here. We ordered 2 Veal Sandwiches, a Sausage Sandwich, one of the Rice Balls, and a slice of Pizza. The Veal Sandwich had one piece of veal on it that had been sitting in sauce for quite some time (read soggy). I added toppings of onion and mushrooms...and literally got 4 pieces of onion and 4 mushrooms at $0.50 for each topping type. The bread wasn't great, and the veal got lost in the bun. The sausage on the sausage sandwich was dry and I'm guessing had been sitting in the warming tray all day. If it was fresh cooked for you it would have been good, but was dry and not great. The Italian bun it was on wasn't good either. Fell apart as soon as you picked it up. Pizza was not good. Rice Ball was nothing special but was not terrible. To be fair we just sampled from the "hot bar" section. They also had cheeses and cold cuts so maybe those sandwiches are better. But for me this was overall pretty disappointing. Maybe my expectations were too high, but I'll make the drive to California Sandwiches or Uno Mustachio's to get my sandwich fix if needed (the owners might want to go there also to see what their competition is). On the plus side...the staff were nice and the place was clean, just not great given what we ordered.

Had a pretty average brunch with my mom here on Mother's Day. It was my first time coming here and…read moreI'm not sure what I was expecting but the overall restaurant atmosphere was a lot more casual than I thought it would be. Between the noise with no music and food court-like decor, I wish for a brunch spot they set more of an enjoyable vibe. It is very much a fast food type atmosphere in there. In terms of the food, I ordered the banana strawberry with Nutella French toast and my mom got the bacon eggs Benedict. I quite enjoyed my French toast.. it was a decent portion and hit that sweet spot. It did get overly sweet after a while though so I ended up taking leftovers home. My mom had no complaints about the eggs benny itself, but the fruit that they say the dish comes with is just sadddd. Seems their norm is to serve the fruit in those small takeout sauce containers, which only fits a few measly chopped up fruits (not even the good fruits either...). It looked like scraps to me. For a brunch spot they need to be more generous with fruit, esp when they call it out on the menu "served with fresh fruit", which my mom was looking forward to but ended up being disappointed by the portion. They were obviously very busy for Mother's Day, and I did appreciate that they have the online waitlist that you can join and monitor live remotely from your phone. Their service was fairly slow but they did acknowledge it. Overall, I think i'd try a different brunch spot next time. Personally I love brunch places because of how cute and fun the atmosphere and dishes can be. The food in general was pretty standard, so not enough to make me return for a spot with no vibes. Their prices are reasonable though, so I think this place is just more of a no-frills brunch spot.

The place has lots of seating and is very accommodating for families--plenty of space and high chairs available for babies. I ordered the chicken shawarma hash, which was very filling. The flavours were a bit mild, but honestly nothing a little hot sauce, salt, and pepper couldn't fix. It still hit the spot and kept me full for hours. We also tried the crepes with sausage, eggs, and bacon. The portion was huge--so filling that we ended up taking most of it home. Overall, it's a solid spot if you're looking for a hearty breakfast, good value, and quick service without any fuss.

There's plenty of seating including little tables to catch up with a friend, a bench with stools to plug away at on a laptop, and a cozy couch in the back with a nicely stocked bookshelf (more on this later). I had a vanilla latte and it was made perfectly. Looking forward to trying their other drinks. Kudos to the barista who was patient with me and answered all my questions. They also have alternatives to milk for those who prefer almond, oat or soy. Additionally, they have a selection of baked goods e.g. muffins, scones in case you want a sweet treat. There are two very unique features that distinguishes this coffee shop from others. Lining some of the shelves are locally made goods that had my paws itching to try. The cutest soy candles, shea butter, local blends of coffee and other knick knacks. If that doesn't draw you in, that bookshelf all the way at the back has a "leave a book, take a book" situation happening which is a fellow bibliophiliac's dream. All in all, this is worth checking out at least once! I'm not entirely sure if they have wifi. Also, there is free street parking right out in front and along the road.

Service was quick and friendly, and there were plenty of interesting drink options to choose from. On this visit, I ordered the matcha latte with coconut water and the brown sugar shaken espresso. Both were excellent. I was a bit skeptical about the matcha with coconut water, but it completely won me over. It was light, refreshing, and surprisingly well balanced, a unique twist that really worked. The brown sugar shaken espresso was equally enjoyable, with a smooth coffee flavour and just the right amount of sweetness. Honestly, I don't have any complaints. Between the beautiful space, great drinks, and efficient service, this coffee shop is exactly what the area needed. I'll definitely be back and hope it becomes a neighborhood staple.
