I'd come here to get my suit pressed for a wedding. I had dropped it off and they said it would be ready in a few days. When I came back they had some difficulty finding it and some issues with their credit card machine. I ended up having to come back the next day to solve the issue but they were very diligent and trying to correct everything that went wrong or were very apologetic. This place is a fairly convenient local spot and I feel like if you needed to have some dry cleaning done they would not be a bad place to stop to meet your laundering needs. If you had cash though it might make it easier as it seems like for credit card machine isn't always working. read more

I just went to get a skirt and top dry cleaned and the lady told me it would take a month!! I asked her why and she said she was going to send it out.. and then I asked how much it would cost and she said $75!! It was a short skirt and a short sleeve top, there is no way I'm paying $75. I also brought a dress once that needed no hemming just to cut the bottom which was a tulle material ( I was afraid to cut it myself and it be lopsided) and she wanted to charge me $80! I paid less for the dress than that. So I brought it to another location that charged $20 and cut it right in the moment while I was wearing it. read more

I went to pick up my dry cleaning on a Saturday at 4:30pm and the place was closed. The hours indicate it's open till 5pm on Saturdays. Someone needs to change the hours of operation. read more

i have been here a few times to get items altered and dry cleaned and it has always been pretty timely and efficient. The woman who owns it was sweet and really nice when altering my dresses. I got the dry cleaning there and it came out very nicely and a good price. They usually don't call you when it's ready but they do give you the day it will be ready and it has always been on time and ready for me when I go! I definitely keep going to this place. read more

I am not one to write a review and especially a negative one, but I need to share our story in the event someone is reading a dry cleaner's review. This past July, my husband and I got married. My husband dropped off his CUSTOM WEDDING SUIT and 6 groomsmen's shirts on the Thursday before our Sunday wedding to be pressed. He expressed to the owner that this was his wedding suit and how excited we were for our wedding in 3 days. She assured him that she'd take care of the suit and it would be ready by Saturday. Saturday morning, my husband arrived at Highland Park Cleaners - the owner handed him the white shirts, no suit. To make an extremely long and painful story short, Highland Park Cleaners LOST A CUSTOM MADE WEDDING SUIT. We tried to be patient and work with the owners to understand where it could possibly be. We asked them to contact anyone they may have accidently gave the suit to. NOTHING. She had no idea where the suit was (but kept saying 'next week'). The back of the cleaners was a complete mess. After about an hour of zero progress, I began to lose my cool (as I think many brides in this situation would). The owner's husband came out and began SLAMMING HIS HANDS ON THE COUNTER AND SCREAMING IN MY FACE TO LEAVE then proceeded to threaten to call the cops. He was so physically close to my face that I felt fearful (I'm not one to back down) that he was going to push me out the door. The morning of our wedding my husband was running around trying to find something to wear. He was unable to get pictures with his father, his groomsmen, we missed hours of photography as he got there just in time for the wedding to start. They truly ruined parts of our wedding experience by their incompetence and unprofessional operation. To pour salt in an open wound, the owner had the audacity to call us 2 days AFTER our wedding, excited to tell us she found the suit (we were literally on the plane about to take off to our honeymoon). We are still determining what our next steps will be, but the moral of this review, IT'S A HARD NO IF YOU ARE CONSIDERING THIS BUSINESS. read more

I brought a pair of faux leather shorts here to get taken in about two sizes, as well as a silk skirt to dry clean. I think the owner asked me if I wanted it to be tighter or looser in the alteration (?), and I said looser. Turnaround time was four days I think, and pricing seemed reasonable enough. When I came in to pick up my clothes, everything was done but when I saw the shorts I was a little bit startled because the alteration had been done with what seemed to be an elastic band, causing the back waist to be ruched at the waist. This is not what I was expecting, _however_, when I tried them on I actually decided that the look was really comfortable and surprisingly cool! I think the look goes really well with the shorts and in hindsight it's probably the best thing that could have happened to them! I am so disappointed with his cleaners. I brought a suit and a tux to be dry cleaned. I never checked to see if both suits were in the plastic when I went to go pick it up. I brought it home with my closet. I didn't need to use my suit for two weeks. But when I went to go take it out of my closet I couldn't find it. I went back to the cleaners explain the situation to lady she told me we don't have no recollection of you bringing a tux and a suit only a tux. I explained to her I know you didn't charge me $25 to dry clean a tux so you had to have my suit and a tux together that's why I pay $25. Oh it's not here we don't have no no recollection of it being here. I was steaming because now I have to go out and buy a suit because she's claiming that she doesn't have my suit but I live alone so the suit walked away. The owner was so rude on the phone when I called for information and she was even meaner in person, the way she talked to me and how she turned her back to me while I was still talking to her,horrible experience! I bought 4 pairs of slacks that I pinned for the correct length to HP cleaners to be hemmed. After I paid and tried them on at home one pair were an inch to long another was maybe 1/4 inch to long and two pairs were never hemmed at all . They would not return any money to me it was stealing as far as I am concerned. I would never trust this establishment again. read more

I live in Edison and I'm new to the area, so I chose this place after reading 2 good reviews. I got a dress and 2 peacoats dry-cleaned and I've had a better job done for half the price, and I moved from a town in Bergen Country where the cost of living is much higher than Edison or Highland Park. Here dry-cleaning cost me $10 for the dress and $15 for each coat.The dress still had stains under the arms upon close inspection and the the peacoats just looked OK. I'll definitely use another dry cleaner next time. read more

I don't even know where to start. I've used this cleaners a few times and my most recent visit was HORRIBLE. I picked up about 12 items, one of which was a $750 dress. Upon drop off the owners wife and I agreed there was ONE pull in the back, causing my ticket to read "damaged" on the item. We carefully went though the rest of the dress to identify ANY other areas that might have damage and there were none. I came in today to pick up my items and the dress had several pulls all over it. Obviously nothing could be done, but I expressed I was really disappointed and upset. There was not one second or ounce of sorrow from them. The wife immediately began screaming at me inisiting all the pulls were there. In fact she grabbed the dress, started throwing it around and yelling "where? where?" which upset me more than the pulls seeing how it was being handled. She was so loud her husband came out. Her husband then pulls out his reviews. You can have all the glowing reviews in the world, but that doesn't make you exempt to accidents and mistakes. Regardless, it was going nowhere and I paid with my credit card. Immediately after paying the wife took out her phone, took a photo of me, and then took a photo of my card, refusing to give it back. Long story short, I reached out to the town police mainly curious as to why if I paid, why my card was held, photo was taken, AND items were still not given back to me. It ended with the police not understanding any of the cleaners motivation, me cancelling my credit card as I do not like them having access to it, and me not returning. Again, not because mistakes and accidents don't happen, but because of the complete lack of professionalism, and because who needs their card and photo taken when paying for clothes? read more
