I would highly recommend this company without hesitation. Great service provided. They provided good customer service, too.

The two reps who responded today were very effective in pinpointing the issue and immediately acting to resolve it. If all companies sent employees as competent and effective communicators as these guys, this would be a better world for consumers. Only reason I rated 4 stars was the wait for service.

Called on Aug 18th for an estimate after some heavy rains tested the limits of the current drain…read moresystem. EVERDRY PGH sent two guys on the 19th. They were pleasant; walked through the basement, turned on some gadgets, etc. After about 15 mins of that, I sat through a 12-min slide show about how horrible my basement is. I purchased a $19.5K system that would require them to dig up the entire perimeter of my newly-renovated basement (inside & out (including a section of my back deck)) even though the water was entering in at a very isolated spot under our steps. I put down 10% and was placed on some program that would allow their team to give me as little as 24-hour notice to begin sooner than later. They called on Sept. 2nd and said they could schedule me for Nov 15th (week before Thxgiving). I called back and canceled about an hour later. The rep made me state and spell my name & address, phone number, and asked me a bunch of questions they already knew the answers to then demanded that I tell him why I was canceling. Even after disclosing the reason, he was flippant and began crying that it was important that he knew or else he couldn't cancel the service. They sent the same two guys back (also that same day). This time, not as pleasant. Disposition was a bit hostile. They tried to muscle us back into the sale, cried that ARK [arkbasementservices.com] (who we decided to go with bc they seem to actually care about our house and could start much sooner) didn't know what they were doing, they made my wife go get the papers we signed on Aug 20th to cancel only to tell her she didn't need them when she returned, the shorter old guy (black Range Rover) even raised his voice and said that no one has ever canceled before (even though we signed a doc labeled CANCELLATION FORM atop), etc. It was pathetic. I'll also add that their financing is trash. They hand-wrote 3 options for payment on paper and said we could do 18 months same-as-cash financing as long as our credit score was over 650 (both are). A week later, Michelle from Financing called basically saying she's shopping banks to cover the balance (roughly $17K) but they would only cover $15K and that she wanted to shop more banks to cover the rest. We decided to just put more money down instead. She said we could have the additional $2300+ whenever they came to do the work (at that time, we had no idea when that would happen). Michelle was pleasant but passed the buck a lot saying things like 'I wasn't there when you signed up', 'I don't know what they told you but...', 'I don't know why they said that', etc. Insane. As of today, not a call, no letter, no texts or smoke signals from EVERDRY regarding my refund so I'll post this review everywhere I can until I get sleepy. Steer clear‼

Both times I was on the road driving home for scheduled appointment and could not respond. I got home 15 minutes before appointment and confirmed by text and returned phone call of technician, Chris. Chris was snippy and seemed to think sending me a request for confirmation only on day of appointment and only within 45 minutes was satisfactory and my not responding right away had him snippily ask if i was still interested because now because i didn't respond 45 minutes before appt he can't be there til 1.5 hours later than scheduled appt. What the hell? In my experience confirmations are NEVER last minute. They could easily have confirmed yesterday. Since I am on time for appointment, they want to find a cop-out excuse to be late? No, thanks. Poor attitude, late confirmation request, and no on-time appointment trying to blame me, the client? Hell no. Plenty other businesses. Oh, and, to boot, Chris I found out, is the owner. Nice... Update: to the owner Roberta's ugly response?, I say tell the truth. Trying to reach me for a confirmation 45 minutes before the appointment as the only time you try to confirm and expecting an immediate response? Why not just assume it IS a go at that point since the tech should be on his way by then. And Roberta saying in response that tech was going to only be 15 minutes late? Not true. Chris said he was going to be 1.5 hours late. Instead if 3pm he was going to be closer to 4:30. So the call for confirmation wasn't even to confirm, just to say he would be late, very late after first admonishing me for not being available for a very late confirmation request 45 minutes before scheduled appointment. Why, oh why would they begin to presume that a day-of confirmation 45 minutes before appointment being answered within a half hour AND before appointment time is unacceptable to them? What planet do they live on? Again, other businesses exist.

The cement patch work, interior and exterior, looks like it was done by a two year old. The "kids" who actually did the work were a couple of non-English speakers and someone who looked to be younger than my grandson. Less than two years later there are large cracks in the exterior discharge pipe. This causes the water that collects in the sump pit to just swirl around and go nowhere. This happens to coincide with a period of recurring rain, often heavy, over the past week. Of course the problem happened over the weekend. I emailed them about the problem on Sunday. To their credit, they did reply to the email. On Tuesday they emailed that someone would come between 10-2 PM the forthcoming Friday. In the meantime my wife and I spent the week (including in the middle of the night) bailing water out of the sump pit. Friday comes and I have to take the day off from work to be here when they come. But guess what? Nobody from G&J showed up and nobody from G&J even called. Instead they emailed me at 1:30 in the afternoon to say that most of their crews had called off because of a big storm the previous night (storm???). I blame myself for hiring these people in the first place. Don't make the same mistake. Stay away from G&J Waterproofing.
