Ben came and fixed everything in the nick of time so I didn't have to cancel my guests. He is so sweet and such a professional and always comes through with a crew of guys who all know so much. Plus he is very reasonably priced! He always gets back to me immediately, and even though he is usually booked up, he will come immediately for an emergency and even came to do a job over the weekend because I was desperate to get it turned around. I had previously used Morningstar for a front entrance and steps, and they did an absolutely amazing job, so I contacted them again. Kerry came out and talked to me twice about my project. My property is a hill, basically, which added challenges to the job. After demolition of the old firepit, and excavation of the site, I got a retaining wall that is absolutely a work of art, a beautiful patio and a firepit that rivals anything I've ever seen for workmanship and beauty, and a walkway that is unbelievable! The weather did not cooperate for many days, but once they were able to pour concrete, they got right on it. They created a circular patio against a retaining wall of graduated height, measuring 4' in the middle. Then, they added a template design, having to work suspended above the concrete! The results are just beautiful! I wanted a larger than usual firepit, as I have a wooded lot, and burn a lot of twigs and debris from the trees, but wanted something that would be an attractive firepit for get togethers. They absolutely came through for me, I love the firepit that they designed! The walkway that they laid out is curved, and looks like a path in the woods. They finished it beautifully, with a pattern that looks like stone. Their pricing is competitive, and the quality is well worth it. They are reliable, and very focused on doing a spectacular job. They also make sure to leave the jobsite clean and in great shape, straightening out the landscape beautifully. I am over the moon with my new patio, firepit and walkway. They blamed their supplier, JJ Kennedy, who they said sold them a bad batch of concrete. Every time it freezes the concrete crumbles, and gets worse! Plus, Kim (Kerry's wife) told me that this has happened on Multiple Jobs - not just mine! It shouldn't be my problem - it's Morningstar's problem. I tried to address this with them before posting any reviews. I repeatedly called and email them to try to get this resolved. They kept ignoring me and I had to keep contacting them again and again. Finally Kerry promised IN A WRITTEN AGREEMENT to come back to my house and replace the crumbling concrete before 2025 was over -- but 2025 came and went and Kerry was full of excuses on why he couldn't do what he originally promised to do. The previous owners of our house used the area under the deck as a drop zone for junk like old coolers. In a day and a half, he tore down the deck, and removed and hauled away about two tons of debris. In addition, he installed two very nice, high-quality railings on the cement stairs. We now have a larger backyard with a solid, nice looking patio and stairs. Adam was on time, hard working, and polite. We definitely will hire him for future work.

The short of this review is that Tom and his crew are the best contractors we have ever worked…read morewith. Consummate professionals to the highest degree, I don't think we could have asked for a better outcome to what started off auspiciously. We had originally hired another contractor to complete several jobs at our house including demolishing our old railroad tie retaining wall and rebuilding it with Versa-Lok, a concrete porch extension, general landscaping including grading, and building Versa-Lok raised beds around our house. Said contractor started the job, and left the house in shambles for 3 months, not responding to any of our phone calls and effectively taking our money and running, while demanding we give him more money to break contract. Given it was nearing October and we were concerned about water leakage into our basement with the partly-completed work that had been done, we stated looking for other contractors to complete the job. Tom came out 2 days after we called for an estimate, and he had the estimate back to us 3 days later. Price-wise, Tom was actually the lowest price to complete everything, and it was complete work - other contractors couldn't do everything we needed done. When we hired him, he gave us a start date and deadlines that he was spot on with and was communicative during the whole process. Several days into the job, while working on some of the grading, he noted foundational issues and worked with us to get them fixed by adding a french drain system and retarring our foundation. Tom and his crew were able to get all of the original work done (including removal of the detritus the first contractor left behind, and fix his mistakes) plus the foundational work in a little less than 3 weeks. Everything was awesome - I don't think there is enough I could say about how good of a job Tom and his crew did. The precision, quality, cost, speed, and responsiveness is unbeatable. If you need someone to do concrete work, landscaping, or plumbing, you need to call Tom. He'll give you an honest, fair assessment, and if you hire him, you will not be disappointed.

He thoroughly reviewed the specifications and requirements of the job and provided me a written proposal on the spot. Their bid was in the range of several other paving contractors I contacted and based upon my professional interactions with Andy and the company's thoroughness in providing a reasonable and competitive estimate of the work to be done, I accepted the proposal during this meeting. Andy told me that based on their job schedule that he thought he would be able to perform our project in late April or May 2022. He hit his estimate spot on, and they just completed the project on Monday, April 25, 2022; less than two weeks after providing the estimate! Chad Long, the owner of the company, and his crew of approximately eight staff completed the job in less than four hours from start to finish.
