This static music is so loud that the lifeguard that I was standing face to face couldn't hear me ask her a question about the noise. That's VERY problematic in and of itself. This would have been a perfect pool party if it wasn't for the NOISE POLLUTION BLASTING OUT OF SEVERAL SPEAKERS. FIX IT OR TURN IT OFF.

They have a concession and ice cream vending machines. There is a slide that uses inflatable tubes and my kids said there aren't many tubes and some kids just hold onto them repeatedly. The other slide is a body slide and my kids said it was rough on their backs. The little kids area is fun and has a good amount of water things to do. Parking is easy and there is an overflow area.

This place has a lot of rules and it was confusing as a first time visitor. Listen carefully to the announcements. I wish the regular pool area was larger, there's not a ton of room to move around. It would be nice if there was more landscaping too. The grass is beautiful, but more trees and plants would be great. I added a star because of the '80s music they were playing. Otherwise you might just see a small trickle from the waterfalls.

Plenty of bridges and paved areas. You can really make your Hocking Hills experience as intense as you'd like. With features such as Old Man's Cave and a creek with several water falls, you do not want to miss this park. My personal favorite season to visit is autumn, watching the trees shed their colorful leaves. Gorgeous views, great photo ops, and fun for the whole family. Not to mention free parking.

Water: I've never gotten in the water, so I can't judge this.. not a fan of lake water. Dam: Cool place to come for an easy outdoor walk to unwind and relax or to workout (many people run the steps up and down the dam). Everything here is free. Other: There is a frisbee golf course that people were actively using while I was there. There is a lot of easy hiking trails and scenery to enjoy. Conclusion: This is a good place to come with a family or friends. Get outside and have a picnic, go fishing, boating, take a hike, or play frisbee golf. It does get cold here in fall/winter as the wind comes off the lake, so wear a coat. I'm tired of the cold, debating running away to Mexico.

This area can be accessed from Sunbury Road (near the dam) or from Central College Rd. When entering from Central College Road, there is a nice parking area and a picnic shelter. Once she tried it out, she loved it. Right now the big treehouse/slide area is closed, but there is a toddler playground, and swings, and the whole area has a soft rubber surface plus some "hills" that she liked running across. Nearby are several "porch swings" that are popular, plus a railroad station-looking shelter with bathrooms. There's a "Presidential Grove" of trees, and some open areas. Plenty of parking to the west- come in from the library lot. A great park, in a handy location. We'll be back.

I nanny part time and one of the kids I nanny attends a summer camp at Driving Park Community Recreation center. The program is staffed by youth (college kids/high school seniors) who are polite and respectful. They take field trips like most summer camps, and occasionally go swimming at the onsite pool & water park! The pool and water park is gorgeous! I was surprised to find this here. Definitely a hidden gem, something special for locals to enjoy. The inside of the recreation is always clean despite any number of kids coming and going, everytime I enter the building or leave the staff are cordial and speak to me. I feel welcomed and safe -- and like my kiddo is in good care. The gym at the center is comparable to a luxury apartment gym; I'm not sure what all is regularly required to access it but I'm sure the staff would be more than happy to answer questions! Columbus Parks & Rec offers a ton of cool and potentially free classes (sometimes spare for a low " materials fee") you just have to search the website after making an account which will sllow you to register for your classes. Wide range of classes from Ceramics, to swimming, acting, STE(A)M -- which is Science technology art and mathematics for kids and more!
