The draw that caught my attention when driving by, however, was the beautiful wetland area. There is convenient parking right next to it, and a combination boardwalk and paved trail that loops around. Right now, the beginning of August, there were a lot of beautiful blooming plants and flowers, and a lot of wildlife were utilizing the area. There was a very large pack of ducks, and an egret up in a tree. What a beautiful little spot!

The other slide is a body slide and my kids said it was rough on their backs. The little kids area is fun and has a good amount of water things to do. Parking is easy and there is an overflow area.

There is also a large, separate baby pool that is perfect for toddlers. There is lots of grassy area for spreading out. Also lots of shade trees for when it gets hot. There are also picnic tables and a large shelter. For kids who are interested in some fun summer competition, Northland also has a swim team for grade school ages. First two times we played on the back 9 it was all over hole 15 and 16. Second time same coverage all over 16. At one point you couldn't even tee off at your box there were so many geese it was a problem Yesterday we played all 18. Again. Goose poo as shared above so badly we didn't feel safe to bother and NO WAY were we going to bother and I even try to pick up our ball among all that infestation. I have no idea how this is acceptable. Completely gross and dangerous.
