I'm subtracting 4 stars for the busted speaker systems blasting (Sunny 95) off station full of STATIC. This static noise is unescapable because several speakers are mounted throughout the area. This static music is so loud that the lifeguard that I was standing face to face couldn't hear me ask her a question about the noise. That's VERY problematic in and of itself. This would have been a perfect pool party if it wasn't for the NOISE POLLUTION BLASTING OUT OF SEVERAL SPEAKERS. FIX IT OR TURN IT OFF.

Philips gave me what sounded like a rude tone, and, to be quite honest. When you put nothing about open or closed dates for an application, then tell me what essentially was "I saw your email but didn't respond." You don't really have any reason to give me tone for something that was your fault. Anyways that was just my experience. If you have any interest in working at Highlands, I would be wary of who your employer might be.

I started a project in late 2015 with Landfare . As time went on, it became increasingly apparent…read moreto me that they were incapable of performing the work they contracted to do at an acceptable level of quality. It was an incredibly disappointing and frustrating experience. Their attention to detail and attention to quality was very missing and they ended up doing their work again... and again... and again. Some work to this day they have never completed satisfactorily. Notable items: * They had to lay the patio 4 times. Even on the 4th time it wasn't right. They told me the sub was too hard to work with and they would remedy themselves. Zach said he'd be back in a month. Never heard from him again until I followed up. * A project (and I quote) that was supposed to take 8-10 weeks spilled into nearly 1 year and 8 months before I simply told them I was giving up on them. * A pool bottom that wasn't poured properly and isn't smooth. * A fence that wasn't built properly. The masons on the job then were so abusive to it that it needed to be rebuilt anyway. * It took many multiple attempts to lay pavers so that they were level. * Using sub-par materials and installation techniques on a different patio that then started to cave in and wash out in the joints. * Improper install of irrigation such that it leaked and took months to get remedied. I am told it was the mason who cut a line. * John the owner is generally unresponsive unless he wants to collect money, sell you something, or you finally go absolutely nuts on him. * Most (maybe all?) limestone steps were laid with an improper grade so that they collected water and poured back towards the house. * Improper drain installs that had to be redone. * Much, much more. Landfare consistently failed to maintain quality throughout the project and I had to take them to task repeatedly. To be blunt, they would do work, call it complete, walk away, and then I would have to call them out on their mistakes. They were not proactive in any sense. I don't derive pleasure from having to take a contractor to task. They should be able to internally keep themselves accountable and produce a result for the client. Nice area. I brought the girls down on a cool breezy day, so I think that was why there weren't…read moremany kids/families there so early in the afternoon. There's a decent amount of space for laying out. Several loungers for tanning, however on a hot day, I'm positive there's not nearly enough to suffice the amount of people that pile in to cool off. There are two pools here. The one is shallow, more for littler kids; It only goes to 3 feet. It has a gradual decent on one end, and has a giant mushroom waterfall that kids seem drawn to. The other pool has the deep end with 2 low diving boards; more for teenagers/adults. The cost for a 6yo and 10yo were $5.50/each at the gate (I did not swim/didn't have to pay anything), which is a decent price.

It's $5/person for the day. There are three pools (baby…read morepool, "little kids pool" where your feet can touch everywhere in the entire pool, deep end pool with diving boards). There is a concession area to purchase snacks and drinks during "break" times. Bathrooms/showers are in convenient location close to the shallow pool. The lifeguards seem pretty attentive. My only struggle with our recent visit was parking. The entire parking lot was full and we were lucky that there was one parking spot left at the park (a few feet from the pool).

The Dublin rec center gives you a free in-body test when you buy fitness passes which is a very…read morenice little perk but it's almost impossible to schedule it. I tried calling both the people (T & H, for short) who administer the test to schedule it and neither one called me back. I also texted one of them (H) and never heard back. So I called the rec center and they gave me the email for H. I emailed him and he replied and we scheduled it. Then, two hours before the time we had scheduled, he emailed me and said he would be teaching a class at that time and could I do it myself? I had never paid attention to the set-up of the procedure so I said no. So he said he would get someone to cover for him and he'd be there at our scheduled time. I got there early and waited about 15 minutes before I went to the front desk to tell them I needed help with the scheduled test. The person followed me back to the in-body room and pointed to a man and said "That's H". So he was out in the hallway having a conversation and I was waiting (at that point nearly 20 minutes) for him. He came in and gave me the test. Some version of this happens every 3 months when I buy new passes and have to run the gauntlet to get my free test and it is extremely frustrating.

It's very spiffy to have a party room connected to the pool area. We sat outside both rooms at a high top to watch her enjoy the fun, and once my daughter arrived to stay with her, we took off. I looked around as much as a could without actually getting a tour, and was impressed by what I saw. I was thinking if I lived in Worthington again, I would absolutely become a member to make use of the gym, pool, etc. I'm not sure what the etc. would be, but I would explore. Cool place.
