A happy upbeat & inspirational environment lives here. It is a blend that matches one's caffeine intake and reminds one to get your fitness goals done. This location is massive and one-stop-shopping for all of your wellness needs. The happy counter staff such as the very welcoming, Kenneth, to the kind cafe peeps and even salon staff that absolutely do not take themselves too seriously but are naturally happy and helpful. This was my second time and I wanted to do more than I did the previous time here. I had the privilege of taking a dance class with the soulful and intuitive instructor named Jenny. It was a high energy dance coreo set where she made sure all were included and shined with gusto during the end of class performance. She created a special 'ring of accountability' before and after the class was taught. A true safe space to your bold authentic yourself. This kind of teaching extends beyond one's 'self-care' and exists on a frequency of 'community-care' and supports the 'group mind' of a creative set of artists or people wanting to draw more outside the box. The steam room and sauna were clean and detoxes one perfectly and so does the amazing hot tub and plunge pool duo and while taken all in rotation it was downright Japanese in their easy flowing easy to access layout. For every uptempo aminity there are downtempo ones too. A special shoutout to soulful Elizabeth Brown who taught a mid-day Root Yoga course filled with the best energy and well paced kindness. This is my kind of class, it's solid and restorative in its pacing and keeps the yogi listening without the pressures of comparison. Elizabeth meets you where you are no matter the level of practice and look forward to booking her class again when I am in town next. Thank you Lifetime Fitness, I am a fan of what you do and all the work that goes into making this massive 'cruise ship' of a gymnasium sail flawlessly! Nameste! Keep up the good work! Ahoy!

I cannot recommend SafeSplash Swim School based on our experience…read more My son, who has autism, attended through a state waiver program. Despite billing being the school's responsibility, I repeatedly received payment notices and aggressive emails asking me to pay out of pocket. I was told to disregard them, which created unnecessary stress. As his funding was nearing its end, I asked multiple times when his last class would be. Staff said only the owner, Brad Hansen, had that information, but no one ever followed up. After driving 45 minutes to attend class during severe weather, we were informed--without prior notice--that his final class had already passed and he was no longer scheduled. There had been no communication at all. Additionally, unused make-up classes due to closures and illness were never addressed. This experience showed a lack of communication, organization, and professionalism. Families--especially those navigating special needs services--deserve clear communication and accountability.

We personally wanted to have a more focused swim lesson experience based on other swim schools we have tried. After a couple of one on one classes - our son made leaps (literally into a pool) and bounds with improvement. He used to not want to get his head wet, or go under water. But after a few classes here at SafeSplash, that all changed. And we have spent plenty of times going to many classes at other schools- and he wasn't being pushed the right way/ may have been not enough devoted time to actually have progress. So that's why we moved to Sade Splash as they offer private lessons.

I tried calling both the people (T & H, for short) who administer the test to schedule it and neither one called me back. I also texted one of them (H) and never heard back. So I called the rec center and they gave me the email for H. I emailed him and he replied and we scheduled it. Then, two hours before the time we had scheduled, he emailed me and said he would be teaching a class at that time and could I do it myself? I had never paid attention to the set-up of the procedure so I said no. So he said he would get someone to cover for him and he'd be there at our scheduled time. I got there early and waited about 15 minutes before I went to the front desk to tell them I needed help with the scheduled test. The person followed me back to the in-body room and pointed to a man and said "That's H". So he was out in the hallway having a conversation and I was waiting (at that point nearly 20 minutes) for him. He came in and gave me the test. Some version of this happens every 3 months when I buy new passes and have to run the gauntlet to get my free test and it is extremely frustrating.

The drawback of the pool is that there is debris after a storm. Diving blocks could be installed by the lap lanes for swimmers to practice their starts for races. The locker room has a bad odor. In order to be up to date, the club could be remodeled. The facility is a nice place to spend a summer day at, especially when it's warm and sunny. It's a perfect place to lay down and relax or be in the pool and swim or play games and have fun. The employees are very affable. The attire the lifeguards wear is first rate. The food at the concession is pretty good. I've eaten lunch here a few times. The hamburger is delicious. At the eating area, it's nice that a TV monitor is there. If you're not in the mood to read like many people do while sitting or don't like the music being played, you can relax and enjoy a television program on the monitor. Despite some drawbacks, the Northwest Swim Club is a fine place to spend a summer day at to relax and to swim.
