The director from the school made an appointment and informed me that the clinic wanted the copay at the time of service. I contacted the clinic and they couldn't tell me what the copay was! My daughter and the director had plans for a 6 hour round trip the next day that I had to cancel. A day later I was informed of the copay and approved. The next day the clinic called to tell me that since my daughter is a minor (17) I MUST be present to sign the authorization papers for the doctor to proceed. I tried to explain that I am 5 states away and disabled but it fell on deaf ears. I suggested electronic authorization that I've done before and that wasn't acceptable either. We're going elsewhere, I guess our money isn't good enough here.

So yesterday my 3 year old had to have a tooth removed from this place (before I had to pay $250…read moredown) my 3 year old was forced to hold still while they attempted to Gas her with the laughing gas which didn't work on her so then Dr Martin and his staff proceeded to man handle my daughter to stick a four inch needle in her gums twice. She came out with hickey marks on her face, red marks all over her body on every single part of her body including bruising on her face and arms. I am filing a complaint Monday and I hope hat NOBODY every takes a child to this place. It was the most horrible thing I've ever seen especially for my child to go through. I also told this man to stop numerous times but that didn't matter. I had to physically put my hands on his hands to take them off of holding my daughters face down by her temples. Please don't ever go to this guy if you don't want your child to be ruined by the doctor or dentist.

Coming to Discover Dental was a BEAUTIFUL experience. My Dental Hygienist was awesome to talk to. Very kind and personable and so smart giving a run down of what she was doing and why! Dr. O'Hara sat me up in my chair and spoke to me face to face, no mask and in a language I could understand when he visited with me. He answered my questions thoughtfully. Prior to being put…read moreunder anesthesia I asked with two nurses and a doctor in the room what my post care would be like. The response I was given was to avoid straws and smoking, that I might develop a hole into my sinuses but that's rare, and to avoid rough brushing or foods that might take out the clot and cause Dry socket. My partner who drove me was under the impression that I was given all of the post-op care instructions, so I didn't know for several hours after that on the forms I was given told me not to blow my nose, to sneeze in a certain way, and that I would need to be changing gauze every 20 to 30 minutes until I stopped bleeding. So I took the gauze out shortly after getting home and didn't put it in for several hours, and blew my nose and sneezed... And now I'm pretty sure I have a hole going into my sinus and will need surgery. This is all important information that should've been given to me prior, especially because I asked! I also did not pick up my prescription the first day because I was told I was just going to be given some meds to manage pain. When I went to pick up my prescription this morning it had not been called in. It took a while to figure out how to get a hold of the doctor, who then called in my prescription for me. It wasn't until I was given my prescription that I found out that I'm going to be given an antibiotic that I need to take three times a day and an oral rinse. None of this was in my post-op instructions which I wasn't given pre-op and didn't know about for several hours because I was out of it due to the anesthesia, nor was it ever mentioned. I also have more questions about the blowing up my nose and sneezing and while I'm on antibiotics and what the oral rinse is for but was never given the opportunity to ask any of these because I was never told about them. This is absolutely the worst effing care I have ever had from a surgeon. Absolutely would not recommend!!!!! I will say at the front desk receptionist was absolutely wonderful and she was the only good part of this experience!
