My first visit I had red wine, in which I sadly can't remember where it came from, because I loved it. Both visits I ordered their smaller portion of charcuterie sans meat, extra cheese. Really enjoyed their offerings of nuts, crostini, & cheeses. But not so fond of the peach? I think it is preserves & dried fruit chews. Service is prompt & to-the-point, can't speak on their knowledge of the wines they serve. An overall great choice in a laidback part of your day!

Cork & Keg is one of those rare gems that somehow marries the warmth of the hill country with what is often snobbery among wine-os. It manages to be welcoming to the newly initiated (i.e. just 21) and the more seasoned patrons, providing something for everyone with a selection that boasts excellent vintages from both near and far. If you're lucky enough to sit at the bar you may find yourself with one of the regulars open for good chat over a glass of their favorite on the list, or inspired to try something new. Don't be afraid to ask the staff their recommendations, as they are both knowledgeable and friendly, making the wine list as approachable as they are. Don't be afraid to go for your own custom flight as there are too many good wines to miss out on. The best part is, if you're not a wine fan, they have other offerings including beer, sake, and mimosas! It's my favorite stop when I'm in town and I've added new favorites to the list as well as snagged bottles to take back out of state for others to enjoy.
