I asked him if he'd triggered me on purpose and his response was, "I told you that?" Weird. I didn't post there, but the one from 10 years ago reflects my experience to a tee. If you read his more recent reviews, you'll see he's either improved or they are written by his "followers". They don't talk about their condition or diagnosis. To me, they read like a self-help book review. Some people need a leader, so good for them, but that's not what psychiatry is for. Dr. Skow, is legitimate psychiatrist. She's the psychiatrist your doctor will refer you to because she's respected by other doctors. She's super busy and has a waitlist, unlike the other one who was chasing clients. I saw her and got what I expected: medical help. She has 3 stars because a reviewer didn't like her interaction with the receptionist. More of us need to post on behalf of doctor Skow. Our island really needs more like her!

Either no one knows or do not have permission to say. One office says foster parents are only given reimbursement for expenses they essentially bill the company for, or maybe it depends on the child, or maybe it is just a per day allowance....Staff is polite, but no answer. Bullet number 3 reads "A very generous, tax-free stipend paid monthly." I wonder if it's true.

So many of them are experienced and it just shows through the level of care of provided! Love, love, love the CNAs here! Ill also applaud the nurses here, many of which are locals to Kauai. Its nice to see so many of Kauai's residents thriving here at Garden Isle. I did dock a star because there are a handful of upper management (mainly nursing managers) that do not convey the same love as the CNAs and nurses. Very snappy and unenthusiastic in helping others on the floor. Garden Isle does a good job with their daily activites for their residents as well as maintaining a happy floor staff. Would recommend this place for families looking for long-term care or even rehab. services.

Truthfully, without Dr Sparks, my vacation would have been ruined. I owe him a tremendous debt of gratitude. Dr Sparks was incredibly kind and has a bedside manner I haven't encountered in medicine in quite some time. His explanations of various care options were clear and well-thought out. He is an exemplary doctor. Additionally, he was very kind about making sure there was some follow up after the appointment, and told me to get in touch if I'm ever back in the area. He will be my first call if I'm ever back on Kauai!!!!

We waited about 10 min and he came out. What we thought was coral in my sons foot from surfing was actually a sea urchin. This Dr easily could've sent us to another clinic but he spent the next 90 min trying to get out as much as possible. If you look up the Aloha spirit you surely will see his picture. We appreciated him seeing us and thanked him so many times. We left with a wrapped foot, detailed instructions, and a surgical shoe for him to wear. Great clinic, great service, and very clean. This isn't the urgent care that came up but drove past it every day so we thought the hours were of this clinic not the other one in town. So glad we went to this one. There is a reason every single review is 5 Fee was $200 to be seen and they do not accept insurance. Our bill was $325 with a tetanus shot and shoe. Worth every penny!
