Excellent! Kauai Therapy and Wellness is a warm and welcoming place. Randon's physical therapy skills helped relieve the stiffness and pain I had and he taught me stretches I can do at home to keep me pain free. The palates teacher is experienced and kind. This practice was not helpful or therapeutic to me for several reasons. Lack of availability for physical therapy is severe. Months of waiting for the first appointment; lack of appropriate space for treatment-- one area is full of pilate machines; the rest is minimal; lack of communication regarding assessment; no treatment plan shared with me; no home exercises, etc provided; scheduled only end of day which ended up being very difficult as appointments had long in office waits with very uncomfortable benches to sit. I do not recommend this provider for physical therapy. I also experienced severe deep bruising on my body where he treated me. read more

Phenomenal experience-I couldn't recommend Randon enough. I came here 3 weeks ago with right shoulder impingement pain and Randon detected the problem, did tissue work and manipulation of joint to get it to be in its proper place, showed me tons of new exercises with patience and care, answered tons of questions and through 7 sessions I saw huge progress in strength, flexibility, and overall feel of the joint. More importantly Randon takes a total fitness view of the patient and gave me tips and pointers on how to tackle my overall health and fitness. I have been to many physical therapists and trainers over the years but I'm happy to say that Randon was easily the best and it was worth extending my time in Kauai. My shoulder feels great and I plan to implement the comprehensive program that Randon gave me to get back to 100%. Don't hesitate to see him. Bonus-he taught me how to use the Pilates reformer and incorporate it into my routine-an amazing machine! read more

Had the best therapy massage today by Ike! When you meet someone who has a true gift and intuitiveness it's a gem of a find! I have massages once to twice a month as part of my preventive health care, and Ike is by far one of the best. I would not go here if you want a spa like massage, but rather if you want to be aligned, healthy, and healed! Have energy and my range of motion in my lower back after a tail bone injury he felt without me even telling him about it. Amazing, booked my next appointment! read more

So I believe that the older reviews on here are with the old owner and the new owner Randon, bought the business last year. I was in Kauai for a month and was extremely active between snorkling, hikes, etc. One morning I woke up and was in extreme pain and I knew I needed help if I was going to continue on at the pace I had been going at. I am very picky when it comes to bodyworkers and PT's because I find most of them are not effective. After researching, I found Randon and I have to say he is absolutely amazing! He spent an hour and a half working on me and he pinpointed every area of my lower back, glutes, hips and knee that needed working on. I was in shock at how accurate he was in finding all of the spots that hurt and how he knew how to alleviate the pain. I am so happy that I found him and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a great person to heal you. Not only that, he has a full Pilates studio there! I am beyond impressed with him and his whole facility. The only problem is now that I am back home, I miss him and can't find someone as good as him!! read more

Good place for therapy, very good therapists, yet bad to work in. Poor and not professional management.

My girlfriend and friend went for massage yesterday, both wanted 30 minutes and it's a dollar a minute. They both got charged $30. My girlfriend got a 30 minute massage but my friend only got 20 minutes and charged for 30 and the therapist talked the whole time leaving no time to relax. It wasn't a pleasant experience. read more

I was vacationing in Kauai to see my family and was having horrible back pain. It was keeping me from enjoying my vacation so I called for a physical therapy evaluation and met Branan, the physical therapist. Once he did my evaluation and gave me some exercises to do, I scheduled a follow up treatment with him and he was amazing with helping relieve my back pain! I can never say thank you enough! I can't thank the staff at Kauai Therapy and Wellness enough. I'm a visitor to the island on a working holiday. I managed to hurt my right hand and shoulder while here, which would have made staying very difficult. Thanks to Paullie's thoughtful attention and expertise I am now right as rain, as they say, and able to continue this dreamy work retreat. Thanks, too, to everyone on staff for being really thoughtful and supportive of my overall wellness plan. The therapists they hire (at the Kaua'i Location) are the nicest people you will ever meet, they make you feel comfortable and at ease.  I have no regrets on opting for this facility as far as the sensitivity the few I've had the joy of working with have had for my needs go. However, as genuine as the therapists have been, I would advise that patients should not get comfortable with any of them, or even with the routine they compile for you to progress.  I say this in the most sincerest way, as for some odd reason, the people they hire never stick around.  In less than 6 months they've went out with the not-so-old and in with the brand new too many times to count!  The owners are okay, not very outgoing just "business" nice.  Really, it's the heartwarming therapists that make this facility inviting.  It's a shame they don't last very long.  Honestly, it's a bit difficult to improve when your routine gets interrupted.  Although the therapists take notes to keep record of a patient's personal routine, having to transition between a new PT or PTA every other month or two has become frustrating!  Yes, they take notes, but the truth is, each therapist is different and they often have their own way of executing certain exercises.  This causes routine interruptions which for some patients are extremely diminishing to their betterment.  Personally, I have already concluded, should I lose one more great PT or PTA I am asking my Dr. to send me elsewhere.  I originally chose not to go to a big establishment such as Wilcox, because having been to a place like that before, I wanted to opt for a much smaller more personable facility, so my Dr. suggested I go here.  It's been okay thus far, as I have met some amazing people in both employees and patients, but ultimately, I am not going there for meet-ups, but rather a trustworthy specialist and a structured routine to aide in my journey to physical improvement.  But it's becoming increasingly difficult to find any sort of progress and comfort when the professionals who exude integrity and give you hope just keep going anywhere but there!  And as they go, my insurance keeps paying, and my "progress" is pretty much going nowhere.  It makes me wonder, why is it that no great therapist ever stays?  Am I the only one who notices? read more
