Lack of any wound care other than 3 bandaids tossed on over dried blood....Maiming me for life…read more Causing subsequent visits to another er. Wound cultures, 2 checks for sepsis, multiple iv antibiotics, shots of steroids and antibiotics, many many oral antibiotics, 2 long courses of steroids, 2 organisms ate thru my tissue. Cellulitis added to a 3rd skin infection. Multiple pcp visits. Multiple emergency on call calls. Dozens of portal messages. ZERO ACCOUNTABILITY OR RESPONSE TO A COMPLAINT FILED 2 MONTHS AGO. Never even checked for a concussion. Dr Looked over my head and said "doesn't need stitches" and walked out. Back to say "ct was normal, give her a bandage and a cab voucher and have her go wait in the waiting room" FROM THE DOORWAY. Never gave concussion evaluation (which I had one and was diagnosed in Fairview) Despicable, stigmatic behavior from a medical doctor at a hospital, that houses a medical detox, in a town, full of addicts and alcoholics, at a time in the world where you can't throw a stone and not hit someone that has never been personally affected by addiction in some way. And then to not even offer an apology, let alone anything else, like a freaking response to my complaint, makes me sick.

EXTREME WARNING - DO NOT TRUST THIS PLACE…read more Your personal and private information is absolutely NOT safe at Berkshire Medical Center's HR Department in Pittsfield. I went in expecting professionalism, but instead overheard the front desk secretary, Linda Fenn, openly gossiping with another HR employee about a staff member's highly personal details. This wasn't just harmless chatter--it included things like addresses, names, and even appointment information. This is a gross violation of privacy and completely unacceptable in a medical environment. When I raised my concerns, I was brushed off with, "Linda has been here forever, we take her word over yours any day." Translation? Complaints are ignored, and employees' rights to confidentiality mean nothing here. It's a toxic, unsafe, and unethical environment. If you value your privacy, your dignity, or even basic respect, STAY FAR AWAY from this HR department. Linda Fenn has no business handling sensitive information, yet she continues to do so unchecked. What I witnessed is not just unprofessional--it feels illegal, and it should make anyone question how many people's private records have already been leaked. Bottom line: Berkshire Medical Center HR in Pittsfield is dangerous. Your personal data is treated like gossip fodder. Don't risk it. Don't trust them. Don't go here.

This is a review of Physician's Assistant Jeff Kellogg, with whom I met one time at the New England…read morePain Diagnosis and Treatment Center in Pittsfield, Massachusetts. I was a patient at this clinic for nearly ten years. Gordon Kuhar is a gifted man and an excellent doctor. The clinic really lost out when Dr. Kuhar moved on. Certainly the patients did. My final meeting (I chose not to return), was an awful one. Though the two of us had zero experience with each other (each was a blank slate, with myself optimistic and polite as always), Jeff Kellogg was condescending, closed, harsh and unpleasant. The reason? I couldn't say, but he cited that a urine sample revealed I was taking less medication. Jeff, and apparently this clinic, assumed this meant something inappropriate. Not true in my case! In fact, it took a great deal of personal commitment to health for me to get to that point. I had come in to discuss my desire to take almost no meds at all, and that I had achieved this on my own, along with a huge commitment to exercise and health at every level including daily juicing, yoga, exercise, and radically healthy, vibrant food and plant supplements. How many patients does this clinic see who change their lives as radically as I did, or voluntarily reduce and then all but quit their meds? I was proud of the changes I'd made in my life. I had hoped for support on this, and reasonable, adult level discourse on managing the condition for which I'd been visiting this clinic for nearly ten years with Dr. Kuhar. Jeff gave none of this. He did not hear or see me, just launched into a routine that was a mix of parole officer and technician at an animal testing lab. Jeff was arrogant, condescending and thoughtless, the presumptions he seemed to be acting on flat out mistaken. A responsible health care provider would not be disrespectful and suspicious without cause. The real tragedy here, is that in presuming wrongdoing on the part of a motivated and responsible patient, the New England Pain Center and Jeff Kellogg orient themselves to the people they would want to help the least, and fail to help the people they would want to help the most. The issue, more broadly, was that too many people were on pain meds, and the political winds had changed. Note that this has nothing to do with medicine or the needs of patients. Because those winds had changed, the new program was to cut people off their meds. Ironically, I had all but done this on my own. What a great opportunity for a conscientious physician, one who actually listened to and had respect for his or her patients. Dr. Kuhar had put his trust in me for ten years, as I had in him. If some individuals abuse a system, it is irresponsible to assume that all do, and treat them as such. Or maybe Jeff just enjoys being a condescending, domineering jerk. Not a great model for health care. I literally said, "Jeff, you're not listening to me." But he just continued with the lecturing-to-criminals-that-the-party's-over diatribe. How ironic and sad that I had gone in to talk about how I wanted to manage my condition with far less medication, and in fact had achieved it on my own. In other words, exactly what they were aiming for. This guy just didn't get it. Lame. I hope the other folks that replaced Dr. Kuhar are not this obtuse and personally incompetent. All he had to do was listen: let some information in, and be remotely respectful. No such luck, or not for me anyway. Jeff Kellogg is one of the most unfeeling individuals I have ever had the displeasure to meet. I strongly encourage you to avoid him. Jeff was distrustful and combative from the first. I can't tell you why. It was blatantly inappropriate and mistaken with me. I had been highly responsible, and still am. I'd gotten along fabulously with Dr. Kuhar and his staff. I wrote several letters to the new director of this clinic hoping for resolution on this issue. No response. If she had simply made an attempt to contact me, shown some small degree of effort or decency, I would likely not be writing this review. I encourage you to avoid this domineering and emotionally incompetent man. A month or so later I answered a Craigslist ad for an auto part I needed; the seller wrote back; his name was Jeff Kellogg. Strange coincidence. I didn't answer. Was this the same guy, now trying to make money off the patient he'd clearly thought so little of? I don't know, but if so he would have seen my quite uncommon name in the email. Jeffrey Kellogg, it appears, no longer works for the New England Pain Center. I would avoid him.

This place had consistently lied to me about "Not having a psyc program" to actually giving me psyc…read moremeds . Inevitability making it so there was no foreseeable future where I could have psych meds, but come off of Suboxone basically keeping me stuck on it. Then after some time saying that they couldn't continue them citing the fact they don't have a program as the reason , but still keeping me on or "hooked" on Suboxone for years . When I had told him I wanted to maybe explore other options of care regarding the Suboxone, but still wanting to keep my therapist and my psych meds and still come to my appointment but just not being on the Suboxone they said that would not be possible. So I made the extremely hard decision of deciding to come off seek different care, but in intern, losing my psych meds just to find out from a close friend who goes there that they were able to come off of Suboxone and still keep their psych meds, which were scheduled substances. So I have come to the conclusion based on a bunch of of people I know going through the same exact thing that they just pick and choose who they want to help for different reasons it's not as if they have actual rules they just get to do what they want and for someone like me who had been a good patient for years thinking I had built a good relationship with the same provider I've just come to learn about what it happened and I am quite frustrated. Feeling like I had wasted years of my life hooked on their poison just to be lied to by someone I am supposed to trust with the care of my life essentially in their hands.
