I've used this florist to send flowers to my brother's grave in the past. I've had varying success in getting photos sent after the flowers are placed. Our 87-year old mother wants to see what was sent. When ordering, I requested a photo be sent following a 12/22/2025 delivery. Nothing came. I called and this was the response: Completely nonchalant: Oh we're busy this time of the year. If they missed the notation, we won't be able to send it now. My best friends order an arrangement with Yellow roses and Daisies. A get-well sentiment after my surgery. Received Saturday. My hubby looked at the water minutes after delivery. ( see pictures )the water was very cloudy, algae-like, and smelly )he changed to fresh water that evening. Today is Wednesday. The bouquet looks old and the flowers are nasty. The roses never opened up like other arrangements received from other florists' sites in the past. It looks like they had an old water vase with its old roses and added the Daisies. You can't even pull out the flowers from the vase. Since they are stuff like a pressure cooker !!! I loved the sentiment from my friends and I was so happy. They thought about me. But I am not happy with the amount perhaps they spent on this awful arrangement. All my flowers are dead including the Daisies. The delivery guy was in a hurry when delivered the bouquet. Something I never saw in my flower deliveries from another company. They're careless with attention to detail. This arrangement is less than 1 week old. Usually, an arrangement lasts 1 week. To begin, these flowers were old and fragile, Not respecting the consumer and recipient. My friends wasted a lot of money on this terrible and careless job. After read reviews from this place . Bad and negative . How come they are still in business ? I feel bad my friends spent a lot of money for out the fridge , old , smelly water or leftover flowers . All wrapped around the stems . So sad, I bought the largest one of the pink rose succulent garden arrangements ($80.00) for my daughter's 21st birthday. I live in a different state so I was sad I couldn't be there and wanted to send her something extremely special. She sent me pictures and my mouth about dropped. I'll post pictures below. Being the pink rose succulent garden you would think there would be succulents in the bunch. Nothing. Just a group of pretty flowers that would maybe be worth 30$. Be careful if you plan on ordering from here. She gets one 21st birthday and this was so disappointing that this was a representation of what she thought I would order for her. Friday the 11th of February, our loving father of 6 kids and wife of 51 years of marriage passed away. Around 4pm we received a flower arrangement from Hillcrest floral. We were so touched by the gesture of someone spending the time and the amount of money on the flower arrangement sent to our very large grieving family. HOWEVER BY 6PM THE FLOWERS ALSO WERE DEAD!!!! The next day we called Hillcrest floral shop and explained to them that the flowers were dead. The lady we spoke to gave us a very long unnecessary explanation of how certain flowers are not recommended, and the flowers were in water tubes and needed water, as if the person who purchased our very grieving family flowers fault for purchasing the flowers chosen for the arrangement. My suggestion to them is to make sure that the instructions are sent with the delivery person, and to make sure the person receiving flowers know of the instruction. We would have loved to been able to kept the flowers alive. Hillcrest Floral needs to correct this issue. We will never recommend this place of business to represent anyones different life changing events. Rather it be for a happy or sad occasions. read more

I wanted to send a "thank you" flower arrangement to a nearby business (Ada Veterinary Hospital, just down the road a bit). The people working at Hillcrest Floral were friendly and helpful. I had a budget of fifty bucks, and they made it happen, including the delivery charge, ten bucks. It is notable that two of the employees have been working here for over thirty years, and that the "new" employee has been there for eighteen years. That speaks volumes about the business. I was in Hillcrest before noon, and the flower arrangement was delivered before three that afternoon. The only "missing link" here is that I did not see the arrangement, which was delivered. Judging from what I saw on display in this floral shop, I am confident it was just fine. [update]: I have since received a thank you note from Ada Vet Hospital, and they just loved the flowers. Highly recommended. PS: The smell of fresh flowers as you enter this business is magnificent. It is worth stopping-by just for that alone. read more

I've never used this florist before. What a disappintment. I ordered these flowers as a gift for a friend in a terrible accident. What I ordered compared to what was delivered was revolting. I ordered roses and what my friend got was babies breath with a few roses thrown in. Also, the flowers were suppose to be a surprise, After ordering the flower 3 days earlier( they don't deliver on weekends) they finally delivered. BUT!!!!! They couldn't deliver without someone answering the door. My friend got into such a serious accident she couldn't walk to the door. They would otherwise go out of the way to "look for a neighbor" then leave the pitiful "arrangement" on the front door. Point of the story. Never use this florist. What a waste of $65. Hillcrest Floral did such an amazing job for my Grandmothers Funeral. I found Hillcrest when I placed an order through Telaflora when my grandmother was in the hospital. The flowers lasted for so long and were just beautiful. When she passed away unexpectedly we went and met with SueAnn and picked out what we wanted with specific colors and sayings. I thought I had her correct work address, but when they tried to deliver the flowers, they found out I had the wrong address. My husband ordered me some gorgeous bright vinrage looking flowers from Gifttree.com for our anniversary. They chose Hillcrest to send them. Apparently they didn't have the supplies to make the arrangement so rhey improvised instead of contacting us to see what we wanted to do. The first ones showed up and they were sparse and depressing. The replaced shows up covered in plastic and I ok them because I see white roses. I get in the house and once again they look nothing like the bright gorgeous ones my husband picked out for me. I was very disappointed in the bouquet sent to my sister this week. Basic and poorly made. I could have done better going to the grocery store and buying a premade bouquet. Looked like they went into the cooler and found the scrap bucket and then stuffed the flowers in to a vase. The few stems of leather leaf stuck into the sides looked like the bouquet had wings and the one stem of salal make the bouquet look like it had arms. I had asked for bright and cheery and I got lots of pink. The pictures on the website are deceiving as I didn't get anything close to a pretty bouquet. read more

We are firm believers in buying local, and my husband called Hillcrest Floral from out of state (directly) when he found out that he wasn't going to be in town on Mother's Day. He had already purchased a gift certificate to a local spa and just needed to pick it up, but when he found out he wasn't going to be here, he asked the florist if they would pick up the gift certificates on their way to deliver my flowers (the day spa was right down the street from the florist, and literally on the way). I totally understand that this is way outside the norm, but he was in a bit of a pickle, and I appreciate that he wanted me to have my gift on Mother's Day, not on Monday. So, the florist says no. No options. Just no. So he asked to speak to the manager. She also said no. Sooooooo, he finally says, "Fine. I want to order a second bouquet of flowers. Deliver them to the day spa. While you're there, grab the damn gift certificates and take them to my wife." Which they agreed to! So he ended up paying twice the price to get me my gift. Love the man dearly, but geez. I would feel better about this business if they had just said, "Sure, we'd be happy to do that, sir. We're gonna charge you an arm and a leg, but we'll get it done." The arrangement did not have the hydrangeas or the white lilies and cheap alstromeria was used instead. Imagine my deep disappointment on the day of my beloved father's funeral and I get sideswiped by what I regard as a greedy and insensitive florist. It was a funeral - there are no do-overs! I ordered flowers to be delivered to my daughter for Valentine's Day through their website. The immediate confirmation had a delivery date of 2/14. However, when I received a second confirmation directly from the store, it indicated a delivery date of 2/12, so I had to call and straighten that out. When the flowers were actually delivered, they were nothing like the picture. They were to be a bouquet of roses and carnations, but ended up being a few rose and carnations, but mostly daisies. I'm giving a 4 star because they showed excellent customer service and willingness to correct a problem when my original order was badly done. I put an order in online for a mothers day floral arrangement to be delivered to my mom. The order arrived that day and my mom texted me a photo of the flowers thanking me. Right away I could tell that the flowers did not reflect the photo from their website of this arrangement. Not to say they weren't fresh looking and my mom did not complain, but it did not look like a nearly $70 arrangement. I talked to the manager and explained that I just wanted something that looked professionaly arranged not like I could have gotten it myself from the grocery store and plopped in them a vase. I stopped ordering flowers from those online sites because they always ship from some corner of the world and come in a big box that you have to dispose of not to mention having to set up and arrange your flowers. This just does not work out for some people especially older folks. I go the idea from someone I knew who called a local florist in the area she wanted to send flowers. With that, I need to send flowers now and then to a relative in the Boise area and remembered Hillcrest Floral so I began calling them directly from my home out of state and have never been disappointed! I go on their web site and use that as a base with the employee who answers the phone. Hillcrest frequently will suggest a different and better option and I usually go with that. They are not expensive and do beautiful flowers plus delivery for a good price! read more

I placed an order for an employees father passing. The lady I spoke to was having a hard time with the order because I wanted very custom and not just one of the arrangements on the website. I went through the order with the the lady several times, even asking if I should speak with someone else and was assured she understood. I told her that I wanted the arrangement to be large in stature and asked if what I was paying would get what I was requesting. She assured me that it would. I was to receive a receipt by email and a photo of the arrangement prior to it leaving the shop. I didn't receive either until I called and spoke with a different lady who told me it was too late to get a picture that I could call the recipient for a picture. Who does that? She said, she would check into it and get back with me. I received the picture. I could have bought this arrangement at Albertsons and got the same thing. I am so disappointed and sad that the family, who is receiving this arrangement, thinks this is what our company sent. I expressed my concerns to Hillcrest Floral with no response. I live away from family and have ordered flowers all over the country and haven't had such horrible customer service nor received flowers that look like the shop has ripped the costumer off. My mother in law is having a birthday tomorrow, and my sister-in-law, from out of town, called in to Hillcrest to get some flowers delivered to us so we could take them over as a surprise. She was told that they could deliver them in the afternoon today. At about 2:45 we called to see when they closed so we had a better idea on how to plan our day (who wants to wait around their house on a Saturday). At that time we learned they closed at 4 pm. My wife asked the woman on the phone, if they delivered after that or up until closing. She looked up the order and told her we could expect them closer to 4 pm. Well its 5:15 pm, no follow up call to say they have been delayed, no sign of the flowers either, even though they knew we were expecting them due to our earlier call. Guess we sat around for nothing and we have no flowers to take to the Birthday girl, very disappointed in this flower shop. Edit: 5:40pm, they showed up, flowers in hand. So apparently they do deliver after the shop itself is closed (not what we were told over the phone, but hey, flowers ARE actually here now). While riding my bike on the Boise State campus, a Hillcrest Floral driver rolled down their window to tell me, in a very rude tone, to use the bike lane. Sir, if you would have taken a second to look around, you would have seen that the bike lane you were rudely referring to was for bikers going the opposite direction, and that YOU were actually driving in the bike lane. There are signs everywhere (painted on the road as well as many signs, very hard to miss) stating that the entire road you were driving on was the bike lane and that bikers have the right of way. The tone of the driver gave a VERY bad impression for the business. read more

I ordered flowers from Hillcrest because it was a last minute purchase and they said that they could deliver the same day. The following day, I spoke to the recipient who enlightened me that she had not received anything. Seeing as how they failed deliver the flowers, I tried to reach out to them. I spent 15 minutes calling their phone number on my order confirmation email ((208) 345-5151) back to back and never got an answer. I then searched their website and found a second reached number, where I finally got ahold of them. I was notified that the payment didn't go through because I mistyped my expiration date on my card, so they could run the payment for processing (obviously, this is my fault). However, I feel Hillcrest failed as a business because they called once and did not bother to leave a voicemail. Currently, there is a bolstered amount of attempted phone phishing and scams in light of the Tax season, so I would expect that any reputable business would identify themselves in a voicemail or at least attempt a second or a third call.. but they didn't. They never emailed, never attempted to call me again.. nothing. The lady was nice enough, but failed to make this transaction right. I missed an important occasion due to Hillcrest's poor customer support. I will never do business with Hillcrest again, they are a Joke. read more

My husband spent $75 on a bouquet of flowers for our anniversary. What I received at work was the ugliest group of cheap flowers I have ever seen! It was a bunch of carnations and only 3 roses! Half of the flowers hadn't bloomed along with the other flowers. There are better floral arrangements in town if you want to spend $75! read more
