There is also lots of green space, with picnic tables, grills, a ping pong table, and tennis courts nearby and walking paths. The King Farm neighborhood is also very safe and pleasant, the park very clean and well kept, and plenty of parking available for those driving in. My only other nitpick would be there is a lack of shade on the playground itself, so it can get hot and sunny mid day. Otherwise, tis is one of the best parks/playgrounds in the county!

It was clean and had all the machines you could think of. The membership price is reasonable but the gym can be packed due to the location and the size. The gym lockers has a no photo policy on all the mirrors so all the progress pic girlies be mindful. The walking trails are well maintained and both bikers and walkers are friendly! This is an amazing park. With indoor tennis, indoor pool as well as outdoor tennis, and outdoor pool. A water recreation area. Soccer fields and baseball/softball diamonds as well as a huge picnic area. This part has something from everyone! Most…read moredog owners are very responsible; however, BEWARE of a woman with two young kids and a one-year-old Dalmatian. About two months ago, the Dalmatian viciously attacked my dog twice, and we then had to take my dog to the emergency vet to receive stitches and a drainage pump. The owner was not able to take control of the dog. Due to the attack, my dog had several deep puncture wounds on her thigh. The Dalmatian and the owner have been reported to animal control. This person cannot take control of her dog at the dog park, refuses to take responsibility, and pays for the associated emergency vet cost.

The Rec Center: Overall, I liked the layout of the rec center, and the folks that helped with getting a card were SUPER friendly and helpful. While I have not officially used the rec center, I was a bit disappointed with the the size of the weight room. The size of the weight room reminds of a weight room that one would find in a hotel. However, the gym did look like it had everything that one would need for a decent workout. Also, I was a bit surprised that the rec center does not open until 9 am on weekdays (and Saturday). Based on my prior rec center experiments, I'm used to rec centers opening from 5:30 to 7 am. Then again, perhaps, these hours are for the summer months. The Library: Again, the librarian who signed me up for a card was very friendly. Also, I loved how she gave me a very thorough overview of this branch's services and resources. Although I was in the library for only a few minutes, I thought it was very well organized.

This was our first time here and I did not know that this was more than just a library. Well first of all the library was great and my daughter was quite excited to read one of her favorite books to me. Recently opened in February, TFCC is a new and welcome addition to the Rockville Parks & Rec…read moredepartment. Located in the Fallsgrove area, the community center is both convenient to my office and a very affordable gym option. The facilities (all brand new) include a big basketball court, a ping-pong room, a fitness room with weight and cardio machines, a playground outside for the kiddies, a community garden that's starting to grow, and a few rooms for classes/events. And, the building was built with many sustainable features (i.e. geothermal heating, locally sourced materials, efficient water faucets) I've been a fitness member for a while which means I can access the fitness room whenever the center is open. On top of that I take a weekly kickboxing class that is a lot of fun (but also kicks my butt.) I really like that I can take as many or as few classes as I want and just pay for what I actually use through the Parks & Rec department. At typical membership gyms, you pay an inflated fee to pay for all these classes you don't even go to and all the personal trainers to annoy you to take a training session and all the sales people to haggle with you over an extra $5 off the 'joining fee'. Here you can pay a flat rate and get access for a month, 3 months, 6 months, or a year. And there is a discount if you're a resident of Rockville. The community center also has community events like basketball tournaments, festivals for kids, teen movie nights, and other family oriented things that are a nice addition to the area. I haven't tried these out as I don't play basketball, am not a kid nor am I a teen but they look like fun family functions. Overall I highly recommend TFCC and am very satisfied, especially since I don't have to commit to a membership gym!
