There's an inch of water in the guest bathroom". I wrap the towel around me and go into the guest bathroom and there's an inch of black, sewer water on the floor of the guest bathroom. The guest bathroom has a shower that is an open design behind a wall with no bathtub. So if water comes up threw the shower drain, it's going to be all over the entire bathroom floor. I then go into the attached garage and find the front-loader washer and stationary tub both half full of black sewer water. So, we go into clean-up mode, and apparently with me ending my shower the water started to have a chance to start slow draining and eventually we had all of the water swept to the shower drain and gone. And the washer and stationary tubs drained as well. However, there was still some sort of partial clog, and we weren't going to be able to wash clothes or take showers or flush toilets in the house until the clog was fixed. Bob Hyps was in my contact list because he had installed my water heater about 8 years ago. I dial a number I have not dialed in 8 years, and Bob literally answers in two rings. He was at my house within the hour, and on my roof sliding a plumber's snake down the plumbing exhaust pipe on the roof. He was done by 3PM. Bob's an absolute life saver. To find a plumber, for a clog disaster, on a Sunday morning, and it's all fixed and done by 3PM. Are you kidding me???? I'll call Bob every time when it comes to a plumbing matter. He's been doing this for a lot of years and knows his stuff backwards and forwwards.

I called them back out to see why the new disposal is so loud . The tech told me that the noise is normal for a cheap disposal. They don't carry good disposal units only the cheap ones. Kielty Plumbing, Heating & Cooling was a positive one -- but unfortunately, it was far from it. I needed to coordinate a plumber for a seller who had already moved out of state to South Carolina. The home is vacant, and we discovered a minor leak in the laundry room near the washer hookup as well as an issue with the main water shut‑off valve. R.J. Kielty came out during the week, gave us a quote, and assured us they'd order the parts and be back on Friday to complete the work. Friday came... and in the middle of the day, we got a call saying the parts weren't in and they wouldn't be out until Monday. That was frustrating, but we waited. When they did finally come out, they only sent the sellers a photo of a small portion of the work they did in the laundry room. When I personally went to the home to inspect, I was shocked. There was a massive hole cut in the laundry room wall -- and in the process of removing the drywall, they had carelessly ripped off large sections of paint. They never disclosed this to the seller, and simply left it that way, knowing full well the home is getting ready to go on the market. When the seller called them, the plumber simply said, "I don't do drywall, there's nothing I can do." No apology, no offer to make it right. As someone who prides herself on connecting clients with trustworthy vendors, I'm incredibly disappointed. Not only was the schedule pushed and communication poor, but the lack of care -- and the fact that they took advantage of the seller being out of state -- is unacceptable. I cannot recommend R.J. Kielty Plumbing, Heating & Cooling after this experience.

We'd been without hot water for a week and cold showers really are no fun. I checked Yelp and found Curtis Plumbing. When I first called no one answered, so I hung up and just decided to deal with it the next day. About 15 minutes later Curtis calls and asked me if I needed plumbing services. I explained my situation and how id already been let down by two contractors. Not only did Curtis express empathy but he also said he could be out the next day. The next day came and he was on time. He explained this was a big fix and would take a few hours to complete. Curtis did not have enough gas line to fix the issue, but he did cap the current line and cut flow to the kitchen so we could have hot water in the meantime. He ordered the roll of flex line and came out as soon as it came in. Curtis did a phenominal job without destroying my kitchen. I recommend Curtis Plumbing to anyone. Honestly, he is the most honest contractor we've ever had. He didn't try to upsell us on unnecessary stuff...did not mislead us and above all did quality work. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. It is so difficult to find honest contractors who do quality work.

Replaced backflow in August 20 22, Anthony came out and replaced the backflow valve on our…read moresprinkler system. In March 2023, we noticed that it was leaking again. Anthony agreed to come out and fix it. We were surprised it was leaking so quickly after replacement. he said he would not charge us but that it would be the last time. After that we would have to pay all over again. On October 27, 2025, and Sprinklers came out to do normal maintenance on our sprinkler system and the backflow valve was leaking just as it had when Anthony replaced it and then fixed it eight months later. The backflow valve appeared to be very old according to the technician. When Anthony said he replaced it in August 2023, I did not retain the part. This time I will retain it. This repair is quite expensive. My bill today including some other adjustments was $895. I'm writing this to advise you that if you use Curtis Plumbing, retain the parts that they replace. I'm still not convinced that Anthony ever replaced the backflow valve in the first place.
