A wonderful organization that looks after those in great need. A lifeline for those that would otherwise go without healthy food options.

The food that they provide is always of the highest quality - remarkably so. We are proud to offer it to our guests. And the deliveries are very reliable. Thank you to everyone at FBLFC for all that you do to help struggling families in our region!

The Food Bank plays a vital role in our area, being a distributor of food to many food pantries and organizations in our area to help hungry families. They have been around for many years, and a number of local organizations and individuals give freely of their time to volunteer here to stock shelves, clean, organize, among other things. It is an amazing organization that more people need to know about. Please think about donating, go to their web site to see what is most needed, and absolutely call to sign up to volunteer! What the previous reviewer experienced should most certainly not happen, and I can attest that the staff there are very appreciative of anyone who can help them in any way! Spread the word and donate, volunteer and donate! More people in our area need food assistance than you might think.

Ruben works the outside & gets the names while the rest of us work the inside of the truck handing out breakfasts to the families. The families get to choose cold cereal or oatmeal if it's available. We make up bags of assorted breakfast items. Granola bars, juice, milk, fruit cups., etc. Everything you need including spoons. I really enjoy being able to help out others who are not as fortunate to have a good meal whenever they want. I love the fact that LI Cares affords you the ability to personally hand out the food directly to the people who need it. No wondering where your money goes, hoping it's actually reaching the people. It is. The appreciation shows on their face when you hand them that bag. Everyone is kind & gracious. So for me it's a win win situation. Everyone including the volunteers leaves with a smile on their face. From what I've experienced Long Island Cares is a great organization that directly helps & effects the community. Check them out in your spare time. Giving back is so fulfilling! Especially if you have a great crew like Denis, Ruben, Kate, Melissa, & Paul aka Linda to work with. They make giving back even more fun. 7-2-2016

I can totally seeing this being a complete hoot when Ruben, PaulLinda, and Melissa on the truck. Dennis may think I'm a little too wired for the morning but it's quite alright. Hahah. Unfortunately Christina and I were on the truck for a short amount of time because our big rush was when we first opened up the truck. But let me tell you... it is so fulfilling to see the community you're helping out. Everyone was pleasant and grateful for our smiling faces on the truck giving them their breakfast. Like I will continue to say next time you guys need me just let me know and I'll hopefully be able to help out. Plus the laughs... if y'all know Christina and that infectious laugh you know it's a good time. So thanks y'all for letting me jump aboard. :)

Do you want to do something that will make you feel good? Why not get together with some friends or…read morebusiness partners and go volunteer in your community? Today, one of the professional organizations I belong to sponsored a Community Service Day at CUMAC in Paterson, NJ. Their website describes CUMAC as a "non-profit organization dedicated to feeding people and changing lives. Our team works to alleviate hunger and its root causes for those in need in Paterson, Passaic County and northern New Jersey." Our team worked on breaking down the fruits and vegetables donated by local supermarkets into individual family-sized bags. What a wonderful feeling it is to help people and make a difference in someone's life. I know we did today. CUMAC also has a thrift store on site, but lots of the clothing are given away to families under stress. Business suits are also available for client's job interviews. It is a very humbling experience to spend a few hours in service to others. Now it's your turn......

In the two hour time span I was at the event you're really working all the way through so I can only imagine what the people that work here on a daily basis go through to make sure that every client has what they need. Simply put, this was a great event. I give this place 5 stars all around for what they stand for and represent. Helping the community is #majorKEY. So, if you're ever in the area stop by, donate, and perhaps check out their thrift shop that they have. Since this is a non- profit organization sometimes supplies and money can be tight. So a lot of the thrift shop money is used to buy other goods, etc. So definitely get out and help if you're able.

When we complained we were told that the kids were quiet when they were in the theatre, but were running around outside the room. Thats a problem! But actually we were in the last row of the adjoining theater and we could hear them in the room itself. So there is that. We all also thought it was unusual to exit the theater and walk-through the main bar/lobby to leave and see one of the staff men sitting at the bar with an undershirt tank top on. First of all it isn't the summer, but even still aren't they expected to wear their uniforms while on duty? It was very unusual.

I'm not complaining! Loved the large extended leather chairs, great sound and truly what seemed like a private showing -- I mean we're talking 'small,' as in 'tiny!' Pretty cool! The only negative was the fact people (adults) sat on the one side and let their kids go ape $#*! on the other side! Remember, this is a SMALL venue. It reminded me of what I hate about a similar cinema in Pleasantville -- a lot of privileged people on their phones, feet on the chairs, talking... but I digress! Anyway, I can't wait to go back and see something else, and hopefully in the same theater. If I see kids again, I'm getting my money back! I really want to know if the other theaters are the same size or larger. Assuming larger! Oh, parking was brutal -- almost non-existent!
