Many other errands came be completed here as the plaza includes a couple places to eat, Marshalls for clothes and household, Great Clips for haircuts, Best Buy for Electronics, Thrift Store for deals, Dollar Tree for the cheap needs and more. If you can't find what you need, Route 22 awaits where everything else you could want is out there. Of course beware of weekends as everyone comes out. Best thing about this shopping center is also the back access from Liberty Ave./Morris Ave. so Route 22 isn't even necessary as that itself is often filled with traffic. Yup Union Plaza is great.

There is a nice choice of stores. Many are Chain Stores and Restaurants. I wish they had a Vegetarian or Vegan restaurant. Also a Whole Foods, so it's a good one stop shop if you shop at these stores and live or commute nearby. There are a ton of great stores outside of the plaza as well, a Barnes and Noble, Target, Hand and Stone, and plenty of good food options are all within a 2 mile radius. The stores are all fairly new and well maintained and the plaza can get a bit busy but there is plenty of parking. This new plaza in a parking lot that has existed since the 1950s is a nightmare. There is limited…read moreparking and it is very difficult to manuver around as the lazy people leave their shopping carts, take more then 1 space and don't care aboit pedestrians. So, the plaza needs to do something as well as delivery trucks which take 4 or 5 parking spaces and tenants that park their trucks in customer parking spaces. An example is the Elmora Farmer Market truck that is in the customer parking area permanently taking up sevetal spaces and an ice cream truck that parallel parked during lunch today taking 5 spaces. I am handicapped but don't believe in using handicapped spaces unless I am sick. I sometimes have to park elsewhere, pay a metet and walk in to these businesses. I now go elsewhere due to the hassels here. Something needs to really be done by the property owners. These things are not rare. They go on every day.

The first time I was here was when I was a toddler in the 90s, and now I'm old enough to see what they have, and yes I've been here a few times. This store has a huge clothing section, and limited selections of pajamas, slippers, undergarments, luggage, bath towels, table cloths, kitchen supplies, and shower curtains. Most of the areas were very organized, but the kitchen supply area was a little messy. But then again, I don't come here for that. So what do I come here for? It depends, but usually it's for pajamas, table cloths, and shower curtains. But I don't get all of them in one visit. Sure, I can get those anywhere, but why here? REALLY LOW PRICES. Other stores would charge higher for these items, including Wal*Mart, but because these are closeouts, you won't expect to spend A LOT on just one item. Regardless of brands and low pricing, I've never had a major issue with anything that I got here. Keep in mind that because this is a closeout store, what they have on the shelves and racks is all they've got. During my recent visit, I needed to see if they had any short-sleeved pajamas as mine were getting close to being worn out. But all I saw were the winter ones, and when I asked to see if they had any, they politely told me that what they receive and stock is all they've got. I was disappointed, but I understood. Maybe they'll have it next time or something. But I didn't walk out empty-handed though. I was able to get a new table cloth at a cool price since my old one was just way too out-dated. Customer service is always fine. Overall it's a really fine store. I will always stop here whenever I'm in the area, particularly when I'm coming back from Ikea or Jersey Gardens Mall via US 1 & 9.

With that digging through the surplus of items they seem to have on hand at a decent price is not too bad. I usually come here for soaps and household type stuff that's decent quality and priced, especially if it's on the manager's special rack. With that, the clothes section for guys is pretty good. Again as this is my preferred Marshalls, there is pretty sizable amount of Men's clothes here which is good if is decent priced but a cut above say going to Target or Wal-mart. Like Many other Discount stores, such another I frequent - Forman Mills, they have this practice of only a few registers going so lines enter into the 10's and it though it moves steadily, it could be faster. I give this Marshall's 3 and 1/2.
