    I love the irony of having the first male manager of the property; and Joe can't even seem to know…read morehow to do his job properly. Todd Baughman; the owner of the property; probably won't be too happy to read this; but it must be said. Joe is pretty handy when comes to the maintenance part of the job; and if that is all that was required of him, then he put good to go. But; he runs into trouble when it comes to his office-managing duties. Like; for example; he lets some of the maintenance guys run all over him. One prime example is Arnold Rose. Arnold Rose is supposed to be a part-time, 1-2 day a week, fill-in; and Mr. Rose has Joe paying him for a full-time position. Joe also will go over-budget when making repairs to the roof; and this ridiculous-looking, extension he green-lit on the storage space. The one thing that Joe doesn't spend a lot of money on....snow plowing the French Village Apts. Joe even cuts time on shoveling/salting the snow and ice for the elderly tenants; like the one in apartment 112. It is a miracle that nobody has been seriously hurt on the property from Joe's negligence; because when that day comes Todd Baughman could lose his property. And; that would be the second business he's lost. The first being his accounting practice back in 2015; which is kind of funny because Todd Baughman is supposed to be a numbers guy (you know; more good with numbers than people). Joe also struggles with allowing certain tenants to walk all over him. Namely; the ones that were friends before he became manager. He doesn't know how to draw the line between friend and manager. And; in my opinion; Joe is probably to scared to stand up to them; because they seem to have something over him. My theory is that he's sleeping with a couple of the tenants; because that's what it looks like when Joe can be seen entering an apartment early in the morning; and not leaving until late in the evening. Arnold Rose can also be seen doing this exact thing.

    You might think that such an expensive establishment would potentially avoid the typical trappings…read moreof an apartment company, but no. This is a shady business with unacceptable practices intended to drain you of your money. Don't anticipate a security check, and if they reel you in with a deal about a low deposit, expect to be billed. We left a plastic bag in our fridge by accident, an empty plastic bag, and got charged cleaning fee for it. The carpets were such low quality that they wore down to the ground beneath by the end of our two years. Truly awful. And then they charged is to replace for "pet stains". As proof they sent pictures that we could hardly determine if there was any kind of stain at all. Regardless, they had to replace the carpet and they could make us pay for it despite us having a house trained toy breed for only 6 months of our rent. We are lucky to have a lawyer who will help us through this, but unless you have that privelege and a large wad of cash to throw at this dishonest corporation, I recommend you find a way to avoid living here.

The wafer thin laminate floors crackle with every step you take, the apartment doesn't come with a washer or dryer, all the interior doors are made from cardboard and rattle when any door is opened or closed in the apartment, the tape between dry joints is literally self-peeling away and hanging down on the walls a ceilings, and when (not if) your appliances breakdown they won't have replacement parts available and will leave you with broken appliances for weeks on end. When we ended our lease and moved out they ripped up the carpet and used a blacklight on the underside of the flooring like something out of an episode of Dexter to try and justify why we needed to pay to have the entire apartment re-carpeted (there where no stains). They also harassed me from day one to when we moved out about my service animal and illegally demanded endless personal/medical information beyond what the law allows. Steer clear of this scam of a rental property at $1300+ a month!! They try and sell you on that it is a "new" apartment and but what they don't tell you is that when you move out they try to replace everything in the apartment and bill you so they "renew" it at your expense. Management also routinely uses COVID as an excuse to not do their job and meet resident's needs that we paid for. There are better quality rental units in Wooster and Massillon for much cheaper, it's worth the drive.
