It is not a huge store but had pretty much everything I wanted. I picked up some fruit and fresh veggies and then headed to the bread where i picked a really nice baguette up by La Brea Bakery. I headed to the dairy section and found one of my favorite brands of butter (Clover) and then to the deli section. They had a great selection of cold cuts available like Mortadella, Prosciutto and Soppressata. They also make sandwiches and have a good selection of meats at the butcher section. After visiting Calaveras Big Trees State Park on a colder Monday in October, we made a stop at their deli because we remembered eating a sandwich there 10 years ago or so. At 7:01, an announcement came on saying the store had been closed for one minute and to head to the register. Totally fair. I needed one more thing from produce so I hurried- another announcement at 7:02 said to "stop shopping- we are closed" I grabbed my last item and went up front. By 7:03, I was already being checked out. And yet the reaction from staff was... unbelievable. There were several employees standing at the front just staring at me--clearly irritated, like I'd personally ruined their evening. It was three minutes past closing. Not 30. Not 15. Three. Then it somehow got worse. They were out of bags (understandable), so I asked if I could use the hand basket to carry my items to my car, which was literally parked right in front of the doors to the store. I was told no, "these baskets cant leave the store"--and that I needed to go outside and get a cart instead. So I had to run out, grab a cart, and come back in... while the entire staff stood there watching me. There must have been 6 or 7 employees glaring at me with dirty looks like I had insulted them personally. The older checker was grumpy and rude, but honestly the whole team contributed to making the experience feel hostile and unwelcoming. I completely understand wanting to close on time. But if ringing someone up at 7:03 feels like a crisis to your staff, that's a management issue--not a customer problem. Also- why not sell reusable bags if you run out of bags so often? I would have bought one to make it faster for me to exit the store. Seems like a simple solution to avoid the extreme stress your staff is experiencing

This is hands down. The worst grocery store I have ever shopped at. This is not a one-time…read moreexperience. I consistently encounter long lines and poor customer service. Their self-checkout has issues more often than not. And the people who are supposed to be monitoring the self-checkout are either not present or can't figure out how to make a checkout work. I rarely shop at this store anymore. The last time I shopped there the self-checkout froze on me and they attendant told me they would be back in a few minutes. That was several months ago. I have not shopped from that event until today. I encountered the same exact problem. If so check out froze up. I turned around and look at the attendant. She gave me a thumbs up. I attempted to keep scanning items and it was still for us up. I turned around to get the attendance attention. She was gone. My suggestion if you live in the area. Shop one of the local markets that care about their customers and know how to operate a grocery store. I would like to note that I do not immediately jump to Yelp due to negative experiences. I have written the save Mart customer service twice about the issues at this location and not received any response.

One employee was changing the last of the six price signs for the middle and premium grades. I went into the station and paid thirty dollars cash on pump 7. When I went back outside to pump my gas, the price shown was 3.339. I went back in to talk to the lady in charge and she said "I just changed it." After putting the gas into my car, II went back inside and talked to the two attendants, who said the manager was busy. I said, "all six signs said cash price for unleaded was $3.299, but the pump was still set for $3.399." They told me there was nothing they could do. (I can afford the extra $ 0.04 per gallon, but I don't like to be shown one price and then be charged another. Mistakes happen, but not rectifying obvious misrepresentation does not sit well with me. They made a little extra money today, but lost a regular customer.)

I shopped this past Friday and bought two gallons of milk with 10/16 best buy dates. Both jugs contained curdled milk so completely out of milk and at 5:50am. Getting ready to head to Starbucks for coffee (thank God they are already open) but going forward, 1 less item NOT to buy from Grocery Outlet despite "good dates".......I don't know how Grocery Outlet would be at fault here since the jugs were factory sealed and they had stamped dates that were suppose to be valid but consumers have to be careful with outlets.
