Smucker Gardens knows how to kick off fall in style! My first visit was for their 2025 Mum…read moreFestival, and let me tell you--it was everything I hoped for and then some. The Scene: Easy to find on GPS, well-signed from the road, and plenty of parking in the gravel lot. Their greenhouses are massive and overflowing with plants, and inside the main building you'll find home décor, gifts, and seasonal goodies galore. Prices lean a touch higher than some other local greenhouses, but given the location and setup, it felt fair. The Mum Festival: Perfectly organized. Food trucks up front (grab a bite first, wander later--smart!), vendor tents sprinkled throughout, live music filling the air, and kids' activities that looked like pure joy. It was a warm, sunny September Saturday--ideal fall fest weather. The Adventure: While mums and pumpkins were great for the vibe, my main goal was something a little...unexpected. The ad mentioned camel rides. Yes, CAMEL rides. At a mum fest. At 40 years old, I had never ridden a camel, and I wasn't about to miss my shot. I called ahead to confirm that the "kids activity" was indeed open to grown-ups, too. Fast forward to the fest--I see the sign: "Camel Rides $10 Per Person." Ten bucks for a once-in-a-Central-PA-lifetime adventure? SOLD. Nervous, excited, and slightly in disbelief, I climbed aboard. And it was everything I hoped it would be--totally worth the thrill (and the bragging rights). The Food: Yummy eats from food trucks and coffee from Brewboxx to keep the energy high. Perfect fuel for festival hopping. All in all: a fun, unique, and memorable event. Smucker Gardens is worth a visit on any regular day--but during Mum Fest? Add it to your fall bucket list.

I spoke with several companies, but none of them really understood what I was looking for. Then I came across Nigel Ryan at Pocono Exterior. From the start, the experience was completely different. After we connected, I explained my ideas, and he was able to clearly see my vision and put together a plan that matched exactly what I had in mind. His pricing was fair, and he handled everything from start to finish--permits, materials, and labor--which made the whole process stress-free. What really stood out to me was his professionalism and reliability. He showed up on time every day and completed the job exactly as promised. The quality of the work is excellent. The craftsmanship and attention to detail really show, and his work ethic is top-notch. I couldn't be happier with how everything turned out. Highly recommend!

I have been a 35 yr property insurance agent and have rarely have seen a contractor with his work ethic and honesty. I was about to mistakenly over pay him and he corrected me. What contractor does that?? Very trustworthy and the price was well in line with trex and and pavers. Again highly recommend..

We initially called three landscapers to give us a quote for ideas we had for transforming our…read moreunusable backyard. Two never called us back. Brian Nolt, owner of Creative Touch, called us back the same day. He is extremely professional, experienced, and talented. He consistently returned our calls and emails in a very timely manner and was extremely patient while we made decisions about the scope of work, material choices, etc. In addition, Brian was a wealth of knowledge about different options for us to consider and made excellent recommendations. Our backyard was basically unusable because of a steep slope. Brian listened to our vision, pointed out potential issues, and we were thrilled with his final plan. We started working with him February 2021 - it took us a few months to finalize decisions, and Brian and his crew began the project in June 2021. The crew always showed up on time and worked extremely hard for a month to finish a bulk of the work. They paid extreme attention to detail and cleaned up the site every evening before they left. Nate, the project manager, was very willing to talk with us every day about the progress. We are ecstatic with the finished patio, retaining walls, walkways, fire pit, and man made rock and boulder steps. We now have an extremely beautiful and useable backyard oasis that we are enjoying tremendously. Brian and his crew also spread close to 70 cubic yards of mulch on the part of the slope were aren't able to mow. We purchased a swim spa and had to wait a year for it to be delivered. There were huge challenges with the spa itself but absolutely none with the installation Creative Touch performed. Unfortunately, the inferior swim spa company left us with a major issue during one of the coldest nights in January. We were overwhelmed and unsure of how to proceed. We called Brian and he immediately came over and helped us fix the issue. He was absolutely instrumental in helping us avoid having the entire spa and system freeze. We are forever grateful for his help. The overall look of our backyard is breathtaking and dramatic - our friends and family were in awe when they first saw our new space, especially since they remembered how unusable it used to be. We will enjoy our new space for years and years to come. Creative Touch may not be the cheapest, but you really do get what you pay for, and we definitely got a top notch product from Creative Touch.
