Situated in Hilo town, you can find this mall just about a 3.7 miles away from the Hilo International Airport. I haven't been to Prince Kuhio Plaza in ages, as I had stopped commuting to the Big Island on a regular basis, but when I did finally come to this complex for work recently, I noticed a few changes in the vendors at this shopping complex, for instance Sears is no longer here, and a TJ Maxx took over a very large portion of the shopping complex. His show at the Made in Hawai'i Craft Festival was even better. I couldn't decide which piece I liked best and made a mental note to check out the website. I didn't have too much disposable income (ahem) at the time but always kept this jewelry in the back of my mind. (they're not pricey either I just work in the non-profit world ;) Fast forward it is about to be my sister's birthday and I thought the ivory locket would be perfect: an elegant way to say I love you by putting a picture of the two of us as kids inside. It was last minute and I was reluctant to try and ask for a piece right away as each one is made to order. I thought I would try and call and lo and behold Peter was so gracious and accommodating- he rushed the order for me and two days later I had the necklace in my hands! It is a charming locket with a vintage appeal: just what I needed. Peter was so helpful, letting me know when it would be mailed and the estimated arrival, working with me all the way. He is a truly classy gentleman and it shows through his work. Now I'm planning to order MY piece of jewelry :)
