Found on the corner of a little strip mall. Little shop with fresh dipped chocolates, cookies and home made guri guri. They also have a few gifts to purchase like stuffed animals or orchids.

I've been going to cvs to but their macadamia snowball delights for years! I never new there was a store in Hilo. Now I can get it directly from the store and they have a punch card for $5 off too! Plus they give military discount. I loved this store. Going to try the short bread passion fruit today.

    Check out all the goodies

My first visit to...BIG ISLAND DELIGHTS was...DE-light-FUL! As I walked in, I couldn't believe the amount of goodies surrounded this little shop! Homemade treats by the GALORE! Cookies, cookies dipped in chocolate, party mixes, li-hing candies, heart shaped arare , chocolate candies, gift baskets, bags, lunch bags and so many more. I went CRA..zy here! Lol...literally I had to tell myself to calm down. I wanted to bring home everything, but of course it would be a hefty baggage fee! WARNING...DO*NOT come here hungry! Or else, you are going to be in big trouble! We ended up buying: omiyage for family, for friends and for ourselves *PASSION FRUIT SHORTBREAD COOKIES-individually wrapped in a nice gift box. The cookies were crunchy, buttery, not so sweet and a hint of tartness. Yummy...I enjoyed this cookie! #ASSORTMENT of CHOCOLATE DIPPED SHORTBREAD- individually wrapped in a nice gift box. *CHOCOLATE MACADEMIA NUT CRISP - a generous amount of candy in a nice cellophane gift bag. #CRANBERRY OATMEAL CRUNCH DELIGHT- just the right amount for one person. *LI-HING MANGO-a little baggie for one sitting. #CHOCOLATE DIPPED FORTUNE COOKIES-individually gift wrapped large fortune cookie partially dipped in dark chocolate with rainbow sprinkles. Everything here was beautifully presented and nicely gifted wrapped! Ready to go...ready to give away to others! They will also offer to box your chocolate dipped fortune cookies for travel so it doesn't get smashed. Customer service here is amazing! So, if you are looking for omiyage to bring home to family, friends or for yourselves, check out BID! You'll thank me for that!

Some of the best treats money can buy, make huge points with your kids and grab a gigantic fortune cookie to share! Super nice and helpful people running it, turned us on to a local nearby beach to go see turtles

*Big Island Delights located right off the main road is not your Big Island Candies. This small shop carries less inventory, but has a lot more local flair to the items they sell. We always try to stop in and pick up some items to munch on and to bring back with us. I know that they have a store on Oahu at the Ward Centre and have purchased goodies from there also, but just something draws us back to the original location. Marlin jerky, Party Mix, Chocolate dipped macadamia biscotti and Chocolate shortbread cookies were just some of the things we grabbed..."Ono stuff!" *Always another great stop when in Hilo* *Parking available in front of store. ****Hours**** Mon - Fri 9am to 5pm Saturday 9am-3pm Closed on Sundays

Short review- The party mix and snowball delights are dangerously good. The location is conveniently located near the Hilo airport.

Picked up some snacks from BID since they no longer have a store in Honolulu. Picked up our favorite trail mix and bagel twist.

Why not get some Big Island Delights products instead of the same stuff all the time. You won't be disappointed.

A more affordable cookie option compared to Big Island Candies that won't break your bank as badly.

I like their energy bars, party mix, and the Reeses Peanut Butter Chip (I think that's what it was called) cookies.

I've been flying to Hilo from Honolulu for more than a year now, to get these. Finally getting around to writing about how excellent these chips are. The store room is clean and well organized. They offer samples of the different chips they sell. Main difference is the type of chip....it's a choice of taro, sweet potato, regular potato, or even a nice mix. They have incredible flavors to choose from. Whether you are craving sweet or savory, there is indeed a chip flavor for everyone. My all time favorite is the Korean BBQ flavor on thin taro chips, so yummy! We also tried their cookies and chocolates. With every bag and every bite, we have not been disappointed. Super convenient to have the FedEx option so they don't get crushed when I fly back to Honolulu. Thank you for using locally grown ingredients too :)

We were greeted promptly and she went over the labels and how everything was packed. We didn't sample anything because we were so full but she did offer and I figured everything was pretty self-explanatory. We did pick up about 7 bags of chip and some cookies. If You spend over $100, they offer complimentary FedEx shipping which I thought was incredible. We took advantage of that benefit so I will definitely give a more accurate review on the product when we get to taste it.

The farmers market has good variety, multiple booths with a little something different--from mangosteen, multiple varieties of mangoes, egg fruit, soursop, and jackfruit to seasonal local favorites. I always make it a point to visit during Sharwil avocado season. They're rich, buttery and string-free, definitely my favorite avocado. And don't miss lychee season. It's an open market that is shaded that creates a cool environment while you shop. parking available across the street and directly in front. There's vendors of people selling souvenirs, art pieces and stickets, and a couple of ladies selling jewelry. Beware the prices of the jewelry pieces. I think $47 for a ring is expensive personally. I can't justify spending $80+ on two rings, which are made of stainless steel and look to be worth $10-15 on Amazon. The ladies here don't even say if they're handmade or anything, but anything for a memento I guess. Across the street is the fruits and produce. Lots of flies and bugs around. Parking lot is on rough rubble and it's a one way and small. Be careful and take care driving in, don't want any popped tires or anything. Overall a quick visit for us after walking through. I think we saw someone setting up to play some live music for the atmosphere.
