Definitely a nice hotel in general, I just genuinely could not stand the bed, it was actually surprising how bad it was for a Hilton. My other complaint would be the fact that they didn't say anything ahead of time about the pool and spa being out of order, not listed on the site, not listed in the email not listed in anything. If I would've known that, I actually would've picked a different hotel. They did have a sign saying that you could go to one of their sister properties and use their Facilities, but the one with the hot tub was nowhere even near this location. You would have to drive to it. Hotel itself was clean, and they had the toothpaste I forgot to pack... but the beds truly are extremely awful. My other complaint would be just how loud the HVAC system was. Every time the AC kicked on it woke me up. read more

We stayed at this hotel for one night. We asked for an ADA room which was fine. However, the Handicapped parking is at the opposite end of the hotel as the ADA rooms which is a huge disadvantage to someone using a walker. The pool and jacuzzi were closed with no compensation except you could go to another hotel to use theirs. Also, you have to pay $20/night for parking! The best thing about this hotel is I found that the Ticket Mill is right behind it. Got great tickets for the Brandi Carlisle. read more

We stayed at this hotel and got nothing extra. Almost $800 for two nights no free water no free breakfast no view. It was our 21st anniversary and got nothing for that. The TV was old and outdated we couldn't get any movies or any streaming and we had to pay extra for the water. We asked if there is another room available and they told us there was nothing. We stopped halfway from our town in Nevada to go to our sons in Washington, so this is our usual stop halfway through, room was clean. It had some kind of stale smell in it, It didn't smell very well, like they sprayed some foo foo to cover it up. Yuck. Carpets need to be shampooed!! Everything else was clean. Not bad. This is my most favorite hotel to stay at in Bend. You seriously cannot beat this location. It is right across the river from Old Mill Shopping. Book a riverside view and opt for a floor higher up as parking is all along the bottom floor. Elevator is located towards the middle of the building inside of the lobby by the front desk. There are ice machines and stairs at both ends of the building. The views of the river are peek-a-boo. Walk right out the hotel and directly onto a trail that will take you over the river to shopping and/or up and down the trail that runs right along the river. Front desk staff are friendly and helpful. Plenty of hotel parking. This is right next to the ampitheater so be mindful of shows happening all throughout the summer. It is literally right next door and the area will start to busy and fill up a day or two before shows. The ONLY issue I have with this hotel is that it is a literal nightmare for those of us with allergies and asthma. Carpets, curtains, and fabrics galore. Also - you cannot open the windows to get fresh air! There is a in wall AC/heat combo unti but I fear the filters and units are not cleaned regularly. I had such a bad allergic reaction to the room, that my eyes and throat closed up and I had to leave. The rooms and laid out so well and are so lovely, it was such a bummer with my allergies. I would have stayed more nights if it wasn't for this because it all other ways, this is truly a great spot. read more

I can say that I had the perfect vacation staying at this hotel. To start, I made a reservation for the loft suite with a large balcony. It was perfect because the weather was great, and we enjoyed sitting on the balcony listening to the amphitheater music in the evenings. If you have family that wants to go to bed before 10 p.m., the upstairs loft bedroom is perfect as it is quite soundproof. The downstairs had a bedroom and the bathroom plus a living room area. The room was very comfortable. The hotel has 3 floors and only one elevator, so sometimes we had to wait to get to and from our room. The lobby was nice and cozy. There is a fireplace and a small convenience store where you could get complimentary house coffee and iced water. They also had a container filled with dog treats and leashes. I also saw a few bikes outside that could be rented daily. The pool and hot tub were inside for year-round enjoyment, and the gym was perfect for a light workout. All the equipment worked and it was new and clean. The restaurant was definitely a hidden gem for breakfast. The woman who cooked the food on the weekday mornings was awesome. She sang while she cooked, and her food was that good. I ate way more than I wanted because it all looked great and was very fresh. Well worth the $14.00, or $4.00 if you had a voucher. Every morning, the selection was just a little different. The parking was good and you must put the plaquar in your window because if there is an event going on at the amphitheater, they will tow cars from the lot. The location is great for walking along the Deschutes River or doing a little eating or shopping in the Old Mill District. It is also a short walk to downtown Bend for other sightseeing. read more

Absolutely deplorable! Friday and Saturday nights they have live music that plays until 6pm. Unfortunately we were there during a "TECHNO" rave. The bed wasn't very comfortable but the worst part of our accommodation was the shower. It fluctuated from scolding hot to freezing cold without notice. It was horrible! We asked for towels and never received them. There wasn't any house keeping provided during our three night stay. Eventually, I had to go to the front desk requesting more towels. They didnt have any towels and stated they couldn't get any. We were given floor mat towels and told to use those instead. Upon check in we were told there was an incidental fee of 100.00 dollars. Which would be released upon check out if everything was in order. After arriving back home all but 33 dollars was returned to our account. I was informed those are hotel taxes and county taxes. Those were already accessed in our initial price of $971.00 for three nights. The hotel refused to communicate and will not return our calls. Very disappointed and will gladly share our experience with our associates to never use this facility while traveling for sports programs. It is a shame because it has potential to be a nice place to stay. read more

Normally a great hotel to stay at. Great rooms and location. But they charged us $20 per day to park. Website says free parking, no postings in hotel, but still charge you for "self parking." When questioned about this extra charge they claim it's coming from the corporate office. They will take the $20 charge off, but they are charging for something without notice or confirming you actually drove and parked at the hotel. read more

If you are in need of a safe, classy, well-managed hotel while staying in Bend, look no further. Better yet, become a Hilton member and get excellent rates! The pool, workout room, and hot tub are well-maintained and ideal to start and end your day. I found this hotel the hard way by staying at some pretty trashy hotels on 3rd street. I used to tolerate The Campfire Hotel, which has become very trashy over the years. I can't even count how many times I had to rescue toddlers from their hot tub, as their parents were so stoned and drunk they couldn't manage their children. The rooms at this Hilton are ideal for a good night's rest, and you really can't hear your neighbors at all. For work or play this is a lovely choice and your next to the Old Mill District. read more

If you're planning on attending a concert at the Hayden Homes amphitheater, by all means stay here that night. If you're doing anything else, stay somewhere else. The whole place feels low rent. The room had a persistent mildewy smell to it. There is only one elevator, shared by guests and staff, which moves at the speed of the snail. Several times we had to wait for staff taking cleaning carts and laundry bins up and down stairs. There is no water bottle station and the hotel water tastes like most hotel water tastes - musty and weird. The staff arent particularly friendly either. Not once did a person behind the desk look up as we walked by; that is, if someone was actually there. About 30% of the time there was no one around. Parking? Better grab a spot before the concern goers do otherwise you'll be fighting for parking on the road a half a mile way. Good luck on that. The hotel "breakfast buffet" is EXACTLY what you get for free at Marriott's free continental breakfast. We were allowed one coffee with no refills. There are THREE bell carts. Good luck finding one if you need one at check in or check out time. Oh, there is a MAJOR security issue on the 2nd floor. Outside of the elevators, you can open a window and step out onto the roof of the building. That roof leads right by the windows on one side of the hotel (the right side as youre coming from the elevator. The roof ran right by our room window, which wouldnt lock. Someone became aware of this at some point and put some cheap plastic thing between the sliding windows to keep them from being opened from the outside, but it was broken. They seem to be having a problem with the televisions in the room. We had to call once to come and have ours fixed (people move cables around in the back) then we found the remote wasnt fully functional. We say a guy a few times in the elevator and on the floors taking TVs from one place to another. While we were checking in, another couple was waiting for their room which wasnt ready at check in time. They were told "we dont guarantee that rooms will be ready by check in time." They asked when the room would be ready and were told "I dont know" and that was it. Wow. When we got to our room there was only a half a roll of toilet paper and 3 tissues in the tissue box. We had to ask for more. The cleaning staff person we spoke to was very friendly. I think that's about it. The climate control in the room worked well, the shower was clean and functional. As I said above, we'll stay there for a concert, but not a single night longer. read more

Had a reservation for a king bed on a high floor. Checked in at 4:00. Only 2 queens on the first floor. As a bonus, no tv service. Won't be coming back. Many guests checking in after us received a king and I'm a Hilton Diamond member. Sad. read more

We arrived around 7:30 to a completely full parking lot. We found out later it is because they sold all of their spots to concertgoers for the nearby venue. We were told we can just park somewhere by a curb which doesn't inspire confidence to not be towed. At 10pm I went to see if we could move the car to an open spot hoping the lot had cleared. Still completely full. Absolutely shameful to place a few hundred dollars of one time parking revenue above the guests that are paying to stay there and cannot find a place to park at your free advertised lot. I've stayed at this hotel a lot, but this frequent visitor will be changing to the Marriott nearby from now on. read more

Stayed at this Hilton Garden Inn during my trip to bed. The front desk clerk, Eve, was super friendly and answered all of our many questions happily, making us feel welcome right away. The King suite was spacious and clean, as would be expected from the Hilton brand. Bed was comfortable, too. The assistant manager, Jessica Cottrell, went above and beyond to make sure my stay was a 10 out of 10. Very impressive. Will definitely be staying here again in the future and recommend this hotel for a comfortable and delightful hotel. read more

My family and I had a really great experience at thjs location. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Everyone we encountered was nice and helpful. We enjoyed breakfast each morning and took advantage of the vouchers were received as part of my status. The service at the restaurant was great. Kia and Larry were especially kind and attentive. Unfortunately, I don't remember the third server who helped us. She was also wonderful. The food was great, especially the parfaits that were available over the weekend. Those were amazing! Pretty much your standard HGI brand. Most of them have the same formulas. I thought these guys did a really good job of social distancing, adding PPE, and wearing masks. They actually stagger the times that people could go into the pool and the fitness room so as to avoid people creating a crowd there. They also have an awesome room right at the front desk where you can store your bikes or your paddle boards! That made it really easy. Nice hotel! read more

When you have to travel so much for work it is always nice when you come across properties like this one. Beautiful hotel in an amazing area of Bend, The Old Mill District. You are close to so much as far as great shopping, dining, and breweries. I had a balcony room with a view of the mountains and a river that runs through the area. Due to COVID some of the amenities were different than before, but I think that is just part of what we have to get used to now. Breakfast was still being served it was just made to order. The restaurant and bar were open but you had to observe social distancing and such. It didn't matter. This was a great experience and I will be back! We stayed one night. We ate dinner there when we arrived. In the morning before we left we ate breakfast there. My total food bill came to $83.00. A few days after we got home I saw in my online bank account that the charges had been deducted from my checking account as expected. What I DID NOT expect was on November 1st those charges were deducted AGAIN. So now I'm out $166.00 ! Hilton refuses to refund my money instead telling me to contact my bank. The bank had nothing to do with the overcharge. The Hilton told me they KNEW their credit/payment agency had double charged patrons, but claimed there was "NOTHING THEY CAN DO ABOUT IT!" That's BS. If you plan to stay at that hotel DO NOT charge any food items on your ATM Visa. Pay cash. I'm still battling this business. PISS POOR customer relations! read more

Wow! Gorgeous, beautiful, pretty, classy, trendy, one of the most beautiful places we have stayed. I highly recommend this establishment and will make this my go to place when we visit the area!!!! We were very impressed. It's possible the are new or just did a remodel so I really hope they hire the right people to keep it clean and as nice as it is now! So far, we love the staff as much as the decor. My mom needed a AA battery for her mouse and asked if they had one for her to buy-not only did they have them but they gave it to her complimentary! Thank you!!!!! And we will be back. As I said, we'd be back and we were - just a few days later......I stand by my first review and would give this hotel a 10 if I could. They care and actually keep it clean. The rooms are clean. Everything is clean, which is HUGE for me!!! So this next visit we ended up in a 2 story room!!!! Yep, awesome! Our room was very spacious, and our room had a wonderful view of the Mill District, as well as the beautiful snow capped Mountains! You could see Mt.Bachelor, and the Sisters plain as day! The view was breath taking. We stayed on Christmas night, and had a nice short walk to Anthony's for dinner. The Mill shops are with in walking distance, and so is the movie theater. In the morning we had breakfast in the lobby, which was decent food. I would say save your cash and go else where if you can though. It was convenient for us. Also make sure if you pay cash for your food in the lobby that the waitress doesn't charge your card on your room. Hopefully this is not an issue anymore.... read more

I'm quite sure my review is super biased because 1) work travel so it was free & 2) for some reason, i got upgraded to a suite (1 br queen w/balcony) so yes, my stay was amazing and I was sad it was only one night My suite had a lovely bathroom, fridge, microwave, separate sink + coffee maker, PLUGS GALORE (around every lamp + extra plugs at the desk) and a bonus tv in the bedroom. The balcony had a lovely view and tables/chair if you wanted to lounge outside. Free wifi! Very comfy bed that wasn't too soft (I like it firm!). This place definitely has one of the best hotel breakfast selections I have encountered. It came free with my room (normally $10.95 for adults, cheaper for kids) and it is all you can eat. You actually order off a menu of selections (omelets, french toast, waffles, regular 2 eggs/bacon/sausage, Huevos Racheros, etc..) and they make it for you. They also have a cold continental breakfast area where you can get juice, fruits, cereals, muffins, breads, etc...Plenty of free coffee for everyone (not just people eating their buffet). The staff is incredibly friendly and the hotel looks super nice and modern. Plenty of easy parking and it is also close to stores & restaurants. A perfect home away from home! read more

I don't usually do these but, where's Lauren?! It's been weeks and found out she's no longer around. This place seems to be going downhill as seems to be short staffed / unhappy employees and my room doesn't get the same attention, might need to look elsewhere to stay for business trips. She was honestly this place's bread n butter. I'm so sad that I will never get her specialty drinks again. Everything was perfectly fine, and nothing was out of sorts. The staff was friendly, the bed was comfy, the room was huge, and the amenities were plentiful and up to snuff. The decor was subtle, but nice. It blends in well with the town and the Old Mill district. The lobby has very high ceilings, given the entry a very open and inviting feel. There was plenty of parking, and we were never at a loss for a spot. Location is key, and you can literally walk down to the shops and restaurants at the Old Mill open-air mall. That made for easy nights and a great weekend as well. No complaints at all! read more

We arrived at 3:45pm New Year's Eve to check in, and our first question was to see if we could arrange a late checkout New Year's day. At that point, a very friendly woman behind the desk told us "that won't be a problem. Just give us a call in the morning, and we can arrange a 1-1:30pm checkout"... when calling in the morning, a very argumentative male told us he had already given out 4 late checkouts, and that another would be impossible... as that would "really put his staff behind". At very least there is a large gap in training, and the expectation to be set on New Year's Eve, that instead of "no problem"... there is a maximum of 4 late checkouts in a hotel of several hundred rooms. His customer service was amongst the worst I'd ever seen. I was embarrassed for him, and the hotel that he would be in that position. read more

This Hilton garden inn is centrally located in the beautiful town of Bend. The lobby is very tastefully decorated. Our room was beautifully decorated and roomy, even the bathroom was huge. The beds were amazingly comfortable. The breakfast menu is robust and the food was fresh and delicious. One of us chose the buffet and everything on it was good, the fresh fruit was great! read more

A group of us went in on a hotel suite and were pleasantly surprised with the room. It had 2 kings, a kitchen area, and living room area with a couch that had a pull out. Plus, we had a gorgeous view of the river. Based on that alone, we had a great stay. However, I knocked it down a star for a few reasons. You'd think with getting a suite with a kitchen that you'd have basic kitchen necessities. Unfortunately, aside from a few coffee cups, our kitchen was virtually bare. We had nothing more than you would in a standard room except we also had a microwave. It was really disappointing that we had to keep asking the front desk for things like knives and cups. And found that we had to be prepared to stock the kitchen in order to actually use it. Bring plates, bowls, silverware, and cooking utensils if you have any desire to use the kitchen! We also went during construction... which was kind of a bummer. The back patio was not able to be used and the pool and hot tub were under renovations. However, they had a notice on the site so we were aware going in. But we just can't speak to that part of the hotel. It did have a small gym and a small seating area out front. Lastly, breakfast. It's not complimentary, even when you get a suite (which we had intended to just make breakfast in our room but had nothing to prepare or eat with), but the portions are large and the prices are reasonable. (I should clarify that hot food is not complimentary but the basic fruit and pastries are.) While breakfast was fine, it took a ridiculous amount of time to be seated. Maybe they were under staffed. I'm not sure. But there was only 2 other tables that had people at them... and we stood there for a solid 20 minutes before sitting down. Then a couple came in after us and we watched them wait about the same time. It did not seem like a well organized set up. Overall, we were happy with the location and the beds were comfy. It was not far from downtown and we had a pleasant time. However, we'll probably go with an Airbnb next time due to the hang ups we had! read more

Great customer service form the first phone call. Reserved my room on a Monday for the following Friday. Received a call on Thursday that my father was rushed to the hospital and in the ICU. I called to cancel my reservation late Thursday and didn't know what to expect. I already had so much on my mind. The kindness I received from the hotel reservation staff was amazing. They worked with me and were understanding of the situation. Cancelled my reservation with no issues and was able to focus on my father.
