Overall, I had a very short but good stay. I happen to missed my connection to LAX at 11pm & decided to find a hotel relatively close to the airport. Upon entering the lobby, I was met with a weird smell that carried throughout the room. When I checked in the front desk guy was on his personal phone with someone (no big deal, I just wanted to sleep for a few). After asking for by ID, he asked for my credit card info, I politely said no. I knew it was covered by my company. He asked again & I insisted it wasn't needed. Then he finally gave me my room key. The room was large, spacious, & overall clean. The bathroom was also very spacious, but I felt the floor was dirty and sticky. Overall, I'm giving it 3.5 stars (rounding up to 4). While it wasn't terrible by any means, I'd just prefer to stay elsewhere. read more

I would recommend it, because I think the hotels around it are pretty similar in middling quality (from my online research). It does not really stand out to me and verged a bit on disappointing, though this might have been because I was tired from traveling. The room itself must not be one of them that they picture, maybe some renovated/some not? Mine didn't feel renovated at all, instead a bit tired and run down. The shower (which had awful water pressure, barely trickles) had an ugly yellowish color scheme for its tiles. The bed is weirdly high up and medium-firm but comfortable enough. I have become spoiled by hotels that feature Netflix, YouTube, and/or other apps/services in addition to live TV. This TV was a regular TV and nothing more, which is not a huge problem itself. Even so, it was a bit jarring to see, especially since its "TV guide" channel looked straight out of the early 90s. The free shuttle is great. It makes stops anywhere people want, which is understandable, and the airport is huge, so build in some extra time. We had a bit of a scare because the driver was said to be a bit late, but we then got an update a few minutes later that the driver would be on time, and he was! Phew. read more

My hubby came for work. I came to meet him so we could spend time w our friends for a day. The room was good. The shower had a power washer shower head lol water was nice & hot. It was clean & the staff was really nice. You get unlimited drinks here for the manager reception! The bartender was fast cool & nice. Played music it was nice. In California they don't give the u limited drinks for the managers reception any longer you only get 2 tickets each night for 2 drinks each night per person. So this was cool. I have 4 stars bcuz the box spring cover had some white stuff on it & they had said they don't make up the room bcuz my husband didn't stay enough says but he has 8 nights there. How can you beat the free breakfast each morning? We only stay at the embassy's. Oh yeah their cheeseburgers & fries are bomb and so it's the spinach dip w chips! read more

I had an excellent stay at the Hilton Garden Inn DFW North Grapevine. The hotel is conveniently located just 10 minutes away from the airport. I utilized their shuttle to and from the airport. The driver arrived very quickly after dispatch and picked me up on the courtesy shuttle area of the terminal. I am a Hilton Diamond and was given a nice upgrade to a suite. The room is quite spacious with a door separating the living room area from the bedroom. The suite had an in-room Keurig coffee maker as well as a pull out sofa bed. I was too tired to dine in at the restaurant so I placed an order instead. Room service delivered my delicious steak and iced tea quickly. It was a 12 ounce steak that came with a choice of sides. Their employees were practicing social distancing which meant they only came up to the door with the order. For safety reasons the food was delivered in a to-go container with plastic cutlery for easy of cleanup. In the morning they were very busy cooking up to-go orders. I had a delicious made to order eggs with bacon and sausage patties. I would definitely return again the next time I'm in the area and need a hotel by the airport. This made my layover a little easier and knowing I was only 10 minutes away from the airport meant I could sleep in. read more

What normally is the free breakfast was $7 (cereal, bunch of baked goods, coffee, fruit, yogurt, hard boil eggs) the rest was by order, $10-16. I ordered something and it was very fresh and tasty. I booked a king suite 2 months ago and when we went to check in I am informed they gave my room away. The person (and I am being very nice) at the front desk tells me they overbooked the hotel and they gave my room to someone else, so they put us in the crummiest room at the very end of the hall. I am old and not in great health so that walk with bags is pure heck. I found it funny as I watch the front desk the number of people with NO reservations being able to check into this overbooked hotel. So there promise to customer satisfaction is a terrible lie and with this event I was supposed to stay here 2 nights so I am stuck here tonight and cancelled tomorrow nights stay and will just go down the road, there are more than enough hotels that want my business. read more

The shuttle came right away, super nice service Flight was really early and our shuttle driver was there bright-eyed and ready to take us. Standard Hilton Garden inn located so close to the airport. I didn't realize they have so many restaurants nearby, I thought I could have stayed here without a car and still be fine. Convenient online check in and out, as well as digital key available via their official app. I processed my checkout before I left my room and by the time I came by the front desk, a copy of receipt was sent to my inbox. I am a Hilton Honors member, so we decided to stay at the Hilton Garden Inn during our weekend away in Grapevine. our experience was top notch. It was such a fun and relaxing little vacation that I am sure we will stay here again in the near future. When we walked in, my husband and I were warmly greeted by Tao, the front desk concierge. She was so friendly and helpful. Even though we arrived around 1:30 p.m. and check-in was at 3:00 p.m. our room was already ready for us. Tao handed us our room keys and explained where everything was located. our trip was centered around traveling to the various wineries in the area. the Hilton Garden Inn had a free shuttle service that dropped us off on main street in Grapevine and picked us up later that evening. Each of our shuttle drivers were friendly and professional. Our room was very spacious and the bathroom was HUGE! It was nice to have an actual shower instead of one with a bathtub. We had a Keurig in our room with a nice selection of k-cups. We are coffee drinkers and they even refilled our supply when we drank them all. We also had a comfortable chair in our room, which my husband enjoyed. Our stay was top notch and we are excited to come back to visit. read more

Good location near the freeway with lots of dinner options. That's why I chose this location. You can walk to a few good places (Saltwater), and many more within a 1 mile drive. Very clean hotel that appears to be fairly new. 13.99 for "buffet" breakfast was a bit much for what is offered, but there are lots of other breakfast options in the area. This hotel was definitely designed for comfort and relaxation while one vacation. Though this was a one night stay to catch a plane at 0500 they did offer shuttle service and they were on time as I asked 0300 for ship out time. The pool I was informed was heated but upon entry it was very cold. The room was amazing, the bed seemed a bit firm but overall these Hilton never seizes to amaze me on each stay. read more

This is a great hotel for a business trip, I came here for a work conference and thoroughly enjoyed the stay. The hotel shuttle was there to pick me up within ten minutes of me calling the hotel. It's only a 12 minute ride from the airport to the hotel. The lobby area is very spacious, they have tv's and complimentary drinks in the lobby. There is a bar in the lobby that doesn't have a huge selection but it is quite adequate for simple drinking needs. There is an outdoor fire pit, a small but sufficient fitness center with towels and water. The machines have cable tv on them and there are tv's on the wall. There is an indoor saltwater pool. The morning breakfast is very nice in the lobby, there is a waffle station to make your own waffle, they have scrambled eggs, home styled potatoes, sausage and bacon, several juices, coffee, an assortment of fresh fruits and some other stuff and you can go back as often as you want. There is a business center if you don't want to work in your room and they have several conference rooms as well. read more

This hotel is in a fabulous location close to everything in Grapevine and the airport with a shuttle to get you there The reason for my rating is that upon walking in the door or getting onto the elevator, there is a major smell of gas. It is strong and not pleasant. It could be that the fireplace isn't vented properly or something more but ultimately it effects your experience. I asked the front desk staff what it was and everyone acted as if tthey couldn't smell it. Even commenting that other guest had commented previously. The hotel is clean and looks nice. It almost looks either new or newly renovated. The rooms are spacious and clean. Its located is also pretty convenient, near a number of restaurants and stores and close to the highway. I was not disappointed with the physical aspect of the hotel at all. However, staff isn't the friendliest, particularly the breakfast staff. They seemed grumpy and were not very helpful at all. Plus, they want to nickel and dime you (the paying guest) for everything. Most hotels have coffee and hot chocolate available throughout the day. This is a courtesy for their guests. This one charges you $2 per cup. They do provide vouchers for breakfast. I was not really a fan of this. I would prefer a system where you flash your room key or they provide a card that you flash to show you are a guest. Instead, they are supposed to give these vouchers that you turn in when you get the check for your breakfast. However, they aren't consistent with providing those vouchers when you check in. And if you don't realize that they provide the vouchers and they didn't give them to you, then you are stuck paying $14 for breakfast, a breakfast that would be provided for free for other similarly priced hotel chains. Also, we had an early hockey game and breakfast hadn't opened yet. However, they did have those small travel boxes of cereal sitting out. We asked if we could just take one before our game. The guy said that we would need to provide a voucher for it, which means we wouldn't have it available for after the game when we planned on eating the full breakfast. A voucher that is apparently worth $14 I would need to use to simply get a single serving of cereal. The guy's explanation: "If I give you the cereal I will have to give it to everyone." There was no one else around. I get that they didn't NEED to provide the cereal. However, customer service seems to dictate that you gain a lot more goodwill by simply providing a small box of cereal for a paying guest than trying to rip them off for a $14 breakfast. I definitely won't be returning to this hotel when I am in the Dallas area, and it does make me question whether all Garden Inn's have switched to a model that does not favor their paying customers. read more

Stayed here for 5 days during the Texas power outages for a work function. The hotel was MOOOORE than accommodating. The hotel had completely lost power for a couple of days. The hotel staff went above and beyond to make sure all of our needs were met. They helped us get rides to open stores, and even assisted with providing hot meals to us. They made a horrible situation one that I can look back on and say it wasn't so bad. When the power came back on, they were patient and understanding and helped us all with getting back online, tvs working, and refrigerators back running. I will stay here again if ever in the area. First, if you're directionally challenged like me, looking for this place at 1:00 a.m. Is not fun. However, once you do, you'll be pleasantly surprised! I walked in, and the sweet lady at the front desk asked for my name, and then asked me where I had been all njght. I told her my flight was delayed and then I had gotten lost. While I was telling her this, I was grabbing my dinner, water and chex mex. She told me I didn't need a car, as the hotel has a shuttle! Then she gave me a free breakfast and told me to get some good sleep. Nice clean room, good size, quiet, modern conveniences and next door to my meeting place. What can I say? This is a very clean, modern, newish-looking hotel that clearly caters to the business traveler crowd. It is near the airport, there are many chain restaurants nearby, and the staff is exceptionally nice. My husband also said the workout room was quite nice. They also have a lovely breakfast buffet downstairs with generous hours. This is my complaint, when we inquired about the price, this is what we were told by 3 different staff: - It's $4.95 for adults and kids eat free (clearly too good to be true). - It IS $4.95 for adults and kids DO eat free, but if you ask for any special items like an omelet or egg beater scrambled eggs, then it costs $4.95 PLUS $9.95 for the a-la-carte item. - It cots $9.95 for adults and $4.95 for kids....regardless of what you eat. Needless to say, our bill was always a surprise, not knowing what to expect. What the heck? read more

I am a Hilton fan but for some reason I have never really stayed at a Garden Inn. I was surprised when they had an indoor pool. My daughter really loved it. Although it was very warm, and outdoor pool would have done quite nice. They also have laundry machines and a decent exercise room. You are not far from the airport, they also have a shuttle to get you there. Overall, it was a nice stay. read more

To make matters worse, upon arrival Manny did not apologize for inconveniencing me - I missed dinner with my friend and had to lay an exorbitant can fare when I booked this hotel to avoid that. He also made no efforts to compensate - no free breakfast, nothing. And then he made a point to tell me the driver was looking for me at the airport (1.5 hours after I called for the shuttle) in an attempt to make me feel like I was the one inconveniencing him. It is a shame a reputable hotel is so poorly staffed! Furthermore, the next morning I called the front desk to request a shuttle to the airport and he said the shuttle only leaves on the hour and half hour. I came down at 9:28 for the 9:30 shuttle and the front desk person (Jeffrey) informed me he was at the bank. This is the most absurd "service" I have ever seen. Absolutely terrible. Over all great experience. This location has lots of places to eat and having the Main Event nearby helped as well. The room was clean although not completely quiet. We stayed on the 4th floor and at night there was some strange noises coming from the walls. It had to do something with water heating or water pressure because the noise stopped after running some water. However I got woken up at 4 AM which made me sleepy later on in the day. Also the elevator is extremely noisy. We got used to it after couple of rides but it was highly noticeable each time and it likely impacting the noise level in nearby rooms. This hotel features mattress with adjustable firmness. I've set it to the softest setting and woke engulfed by the mattress in the morning. Next day I've set it to most firm and it was like sleeping on a board. My advice is to set it about half way through to get the perfect sleep. I'd have to say that the best feature was the breakfast. $9 for all you can eat buffet! Although we found that all hotel staff had English as a second language, but that did not cause any understanding our courtesy issues. In fact the morning wait staff was very courteous and eager to please barely awake hotel guests. I found this as a welcome aspect of my stay. read more

Lovely! This hotel was always very clean and the staff were very friendly. It is by the airport, which is great for the business crowd, and you can't even hear the airplanes! They said the beds had this adjustable mattress but my fiance and I couldn't even tell. We messed with the dial every hour to see if it changed but nothing! The bed stayed hard, which don't get me wrong wasn't bad! The breakfast they offer downstairs was very tasty! We both found things we liked and they were always good! I do have to say though, the turkey bacon, not my favorite. It just tasted off to me. Other than that small thing, no complaints here! Overall, I would definitely stay here again if I ever come back to Grapevine! If I were you, I would stay here too! It's so much cheaper than the other hotels around that area! read more
