This is a lovely hotel. The rooms are clean and modern. The linens are upscale. The bed was super comfy. I had a room with a city view. As an airport hotel there aren't things to do nearby but city center is only 15 minutes away by Uber. There is an onsite restaurant and bar. This hotel is great for being by the airport. Gold status and above includes a buffet breakfast which also has a cook for omelettes. They also have an executive lounge but the lounge had very little in it. Just bread some cheese and a soup. They did have liquor and free beer and wine which is a plus. When I was here the gym was being renovated and the Sauna was broken so that was huge bummer if they get that fixed it would be 5 stars. The room was incredible they said they gave me an upgrade but the room was nice and cold and was big. read more

Stayed here for a night before my flight back home and this was the most comfortable hotel that I've stayed at so far. I mean, I was by myself so it was very relaxing. I just ordered room service and the food was great for my taste. The a/c was perfect, I had to adjust it because it was getting too cold. Not much English language channels so I just watched from my phone and their wifi had strong signal anyways.This is far from other places so if you plan to go somewhere else you would need to get a cab. Service during my stay was great, they had nice and friendly front desk. Shuttle was early at 5am which was perfect since I planned on going to the airport early to get through security and all those checks early and fast. Overall, I would recommend this hotel. I'm also a hilton honors member so I get to have free bottled water in the room LoL read more

The Hilton Madrid had the absolute best service. We were picked up from the Madrid airport from a free shuttle, it was so close to the airport! It was so nice to get to the nice hotel with the clean room! It's a beautiful hotel with a gym and very cool pool! The hotel helped us call taxi to get to centro and we ended up having dinner at the restaurant at the Hilton and it was very yummy!! Impeccable service from checkin to the bar. I stayed using points, but the room rate would have been something like 75-80 euros. This hotel was a 10-15 min cab ride from Terminal 4 (27 Euros) and a 5 minute cab ride to Terminal 1 (20 Euros). This said they do have a free shuttle service - I'm just not a shuttle person. Also the front desk was kind enough to arrange the cab the night before for me. The cab arrived about 5-10 min early. In short great service with a very well appointed, clean, quite room. The drawbacks for this hotel is that it's really not close to anything but the airport. There is a mall walking distance from the hotel but the city center is 20 minutes away by cab. While the restaurant/bar menus are fine there really are not other dining options available and those options are on the more expensive side but online with hotel dining. This said I had a really good baked artichoke salad of sorts... it was more than good, it was delicious. My beer and mineral water came with a nice little side of salted peanuts. Definitely one of the nicest airport Hiltons we have ever stayed at. We had a 6am flight so we checked out of our hotel in town early to make things a little easier. Many have complained about the cost of food, etc., but given the luxurious stay we enjoyed, it made our early departure for the states that much easier. The lobby was cavernous, like a convention hotel, with a very modern and slick esthetic. We very much appreciated the warm friendly service, the delicious meal, and the very comfortable bed. We felt. so pampered, which served us well since we had to get up at 3am to catch our long flight home. Highly recommend this hotel. read more

The stand out memory is having the worst paella in my life anywhere in the world here. It was dry, tough, overcooked and took an hour and a half as the server forgot to place our order with the kitchen. The breakfast buffet was cold except the omelets station. In the meeting room the coffee machine had a very limited selection and was too small for fifteen people so kept running out of milk and coffee. The hotel charged something like 9 euros per person per day for the coffee machine and it didn't have a decaf option. Good things were the free shuttle bus to the terminal, the bathroom was a good size and the bed was comfortable. Hilton Honors, Diamond. Stayed here twice in 2 weeks. Poor choice. Weak ac. Poor location. Beautiful pool. Oit of service on the hottest day of the year. There is a mall across the interstate with lots of American fast food, but it takes a €20 taxes ride to get there. The mall is 24-30 (80-90) degrees. It is full of spoiled, rich children. Positives: Free shuttle. Free Breakfast (for high enough members). Interior design is beautiful. Spain & Morocco are in high modernism. My beef is the lounge staff who merely wants to get out as soon as possible. They literally stand around with carts full of pastries and order you out, even if it is within their banker's hours. I'm a real traveler and rarely make the 7 o'clock cutoff. To be clear, I was denied entry prior to 7 on one of my two stays. These amenities are purely for show--to be seen, not to be used. It's a circle jerk right out of the deepest markets of Marrakech. Any Ibis would probably be a better value. In Spain, Barcelona was the best Hilton. The rest were mediocre. I generally prefer the Hyatt. They make you feel like home. If you want real 1st class service, stay at the Hilton Garden Inn, Tangier! read more

This is a pretty decent hotel. It's very dated into the 70s. We stayed in room 520 which had an interesting set up for sure, very 70s including a hi-fi stereo. It also had a Jacuzzi tub and separate shower. Oddly the bathroom is quite large and the toilet is sort of in an alcove but you can't close the door. The bathroom door is two different glass doors that sort of slide together on a corner. It's pretty unusual. The view is OK of the suburbs. The hallways are very dark and our little door was in a small hallway off the main hallway and that was completely dark. The breakfast is pretty standard euro fare they tried hard and seem to do a pretty good job. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The airport shuttle is free and you can call them although it took them 45 minutes to get us from the airport after we called and it's only a 10 minute drive. The morning shuttles to the airport are scheduled every half hour. I subtracted one star because the hotel is looking kind of aged, there are cracks in the concrete type substance of the walls, and there was an actual screw sticking out of the side of the Jacuzzi which posed a physical hazard. The No door to toilet room means that if someone is taking a bath in the Jacuzzi then there is no access to the toilet. That's an easy fix with a swinging door. The convenience to the airport is great however it is a solid 25 to 35 minute ride into the downtown historic District by taxi. Taxis are $25-$35 from hotel to the palace. read more

A complete NIGHTMARE and DISASTER! Their air conditioning was down and they failed to disclose the issue when doing the check in (they knew about it). To makes matters worst they sent maintenance ANGEL to both of our booked rooms and he fabricated a different story telling us that the hotel sold us 2 rooms without their AC's on prior to arrival. Maintenance ANGEL told us to allow our rooms to cool down for 4 hours. After 4 miserable hours both of our rooms were hot and the AC never worked. Front desk supervisor RICARDO aka (Mr. Bad attitude) told me that there were no rooms available and then he decided to admit that the AC compressor of the entire property was not working. Very unprofessional and the whole time they hid the problem from every guest. I will NEVER EVER stay here again. Anyone that reads this review can thank me later. Madrid weather in July is brutal and having no AC in your hotel is a complete offense from whoever is in charge of this particular Hilton. At the end they said "we are truly sorry that this happened (the famous sorry) and they told me that they were going to provide a discount or a refund but again the lied and they never did. My credit card charge was processing for 2 weeks and they end up charging the full amount after telling me about refund and discount bla bla bla .Watch them saying sorry below as always. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!! They think guests we don't notice things and we deserve respect and for them to be upfront. TERRIBLE SERVICE AND AWFUL PROPERTY AND UNPROFESSIONAL MANAGEMENT! read more

What a pitiful experience! Awful service and amenities for a Hilton hotel. We have stayed there several time before and this time it was a dismal experience. First of all, the bus from the Airport to the Hotel failed to wait foe us after we were told it would. We arrived at the place 6 minutes late as we told them and no one was there. The rooms we booked were in disarray and instead of two queens,we got two twins. It seems that this Hilton is the only one that does not do two queens and when I clicked on that option is selected two twins (which i missed and thats on me)). When we try to get an extra bed we were told it was too late. Restaurant was closed at 11pm. Not sure why they chose to close so early but they did not even provide room service. No food. Another customer was told to use UberEats to get food. AC was noisy and the bathroom poorly maintained. I am surprised this was a Hilton. Not recommended. You are better off staying that hotels in Barajas city which offer better service, located about the same distance and you can stretch your legs walking the little village. read more

The first time we stayed here a couple of weeks ago, we were so rushed, I hardly remember it. Sometimes that's what you want in a hotel. But on the second stay, which happened to be my last day of a three-week journey, I can't tell you how much I appreciated the incredible space I stayed in for my last night and prepared for the long journey home the following early morning. I especially found the staff to be accommodating and understand a traveler's needs. Sometimes that's rare in the hotel staff, but not at the Hilton Madrid Aeropuerto. The night reception is staffed by a young man from the United States who is very helpful and pleasant. After a long journey and trying to improve my Spanish and stammering here in there, it was nice to speak with a native speaker of English and be able to have a natural foreign conversation; so bravo to him and to the hotel manager for a great hire! read more

Overall this hotel will offer the weary, jet-lagged traveler a very comfortable stay in a Euro-mod setting with recognizable branding familiarity for any Hilton Honors loyalists. Full disclosure is that I have a top Diamond Honors Hilton member so I get treated pretty well at Hilton properties including upgrades and Executive Lounge access where available so my experience may be different than others. My perspective does come from spending about 60 nights per year in Hilton branded hotels around the world. I liked that this hotel had very reasonable rates for a modern, clean and 4 star business class hotel. I also applaud that it had a fully enclosed shower instead of the ridiculous incomplete shower barrier so popular in Europe that allows you to overspray the entire bathroom with every shower. Also, every employee I interacted with was pleasant, helpful and represented the property very well. I especially liked the housekeepers who worked around my erratic schedule and the Executive Lounge attendant who helped me print some important work related documents as if that was her main goal in life. I really appreciate hospitable people, especially when I am tired and in a foreign country...the last thing I want to try to do is put up with a grumpy or unkind employee at a hotel and you will find none of that here. There were 3 things that are less desirable about this hotel which is what prevents it from getting top marks in my book. Two are within the hotel's control and one is not but either way, you will want to be aware of them if you choose to stay here: First, the shuttle service needs to be considered. While the hotel is near the airport, it is not at the airport. It is far enough away that you really could not walk to it and the airport shuttle runs about every 30 min which is great except it does not start until 5 am. This is important because there are flights (such as mine!) that depart at 6 am. If you are on an early morning flight, you will not be able to use the shuttle and you will then spend about $5 on an Uber or taxi for an early morning departure. This is a little lame given that a big reason you would consider staying here is because of convenience and proximity to the airport that would make coordinating your flights in or out of Madrid easier. The hotel would do well to consider the flight schedule and that people staying there have a need to get to the airport early which makes the shuttle service starting hours inadequate. (On the day of my early morning flight, there were 4 of us waiting for Ubers at 4 am. All of us shared the same thought: Why wouldn't the hotel ask that info and help us coordinate a single Uber to the airport for all of us. Better yet, how about starting the shuttle earlier?!?) Second, for most visitors to Madrid, the interesting things to do in your leisure time are all located in city center which is about a 30-40 min metro ride away and the metro station is about a 15 min walk from the hotel. If you are going to be in Madrid and have some down time and want to explore, this is not a convenient location as you will spend considerable time just getting to and from city center. On a day off, I went to city center twice (once in the morning and once at night for dinner) and at the end of the day I had logged close to 30,000 steps to accomplish my goals of seeing the interesting areas of Madrid if that gives you any idea of what I am talking about. Lastly, the area surrounding the hotel is a bit odd as there is really nothing to do around it. It is located behind some type of an office complex and some kind of large parking lot. There are no convenience stores or anything like that so when you are jet-lagged and awake at 2 am starving, your only option is to order a room service sandwich to the tune of about $30 Euros! It would be nice if the hotel had a small convenience store available to buy a midnight snack in my opinion (but I get it, then I would only spend $2 Euro on cup noodles instead of having to donate a kidney to pay for room service). Overall, I would stay here again under the right circumstances with full awareness of the limitations. The inconvenience of the metro and lack of surrounding things to do can make it feel a little like you are stuck in jail (albeit white-collar jail) but there is no question that the staff and comfortable rooms save this property from being a bust. read more

The pool was ok. The food was insanely expensive for Madrid. They charge for internet WiFi. They charge 4.95 for water in the room. Also there's a crazy blue nightlight in the bathroom which you can see from bed. It's quiet, the AC worked and the water pressure was good in the shower. This was a really interesting experience... I found myself really intrigued by this hotel's ultra modern setup, yet my stay here was met with many disappointments. To start, this is the most modern hotel I think I've ever stayed at. So much so that it took me 10 minutes to figure out how to turn on specific lights in bathroom. It's almost as if the designers watched an episode of the Jetsons and tried to mirror it. It's great that everything is so seamless, but it also should be straight forward and not confusing. There are so many switches controlling so many different things, I found it to be more of a headache than a convenience. Even with that annoyance, I really liked the room as it was spotless and fairly large. Television was a good size and floor to ceiling windows were cool. Then came the real disappointment... The bed. When I first sat on the bed, I thought it was going to break. It was creaky, unstable and the mattress felt like it was half an inch thick. This all made for one of the worst sleeps I've ever had. With every turn on the bed came a loud noise and a pain in my back. Very unfortunate. Every plus to this hotel comes with a minus. It's close to the airport, provides multiple dining options and is as modern as it gets. With these pluses however, come the minuses I previously mentioned. read more

Fantastic Hotel! A very modern property with free shuttle (10 minutes) to the airport. I stayed the night before a flight back to the States and was impressed. The hotel staff were exemplary and fast to respond to any question or request.. The Front desk staff upgraded me to what they called a relaxation room. The room was huge by Euro standards and included a large jacuzzi tub, separate shower and a toilet / bidet area. It also included a separate work area with multiple outlets and lighting and a very comfortable office chair. This was in addition to another table and chair set and a makeup area for the ladies. Also included in the furnishings was an Eams style while leather chair and ottoman. The Executive lounge (courtesy access with my Gold status with HHonors status) was larger than most I have been in. Food and drink selections were good as was the self serve bar area which was available for about 4 hours in the evening. This definitely will be my hotel when flying from Madrid read more

The Madrid Airport Hilton was our final stay in Spain after completing the Camino. It's located near the airport, with shuttle service to and from the airport. It's an ultra-modern, luxurious hotel where you'll be both comfortable and get the sleep you need. The rooms ring around a central courtyard/dining area. You'll love the amenities, such as the huge bathrooms, and the extra comfortable bedding. While we didn't try it because of the expense, the hotel serves quite a breakfast spread in the dining room. I will say that the hotel, while close to the airport (still requires a drive), is not really close to anything else, so don't go to this hotel thinking that you might be able to walk to a nearby restaurant or shopping center or nightclub. It's not set in that kind of neighborhood, so just be aware of that. Still, we enjoyed our stay here. read more

I WISH I COULD GIVE IT ZERO STARS. We checked into our room after traveling for about 8 hours, so we naturally wanted to shower. One of us went to shower... halfway through it, the water turned reddish-brown and leaked everywhere. When we called, they said it was because of "new pipes," and the only thing granted to us was a different room. We had three rooms, and each one had it's own troubles. The one had the shower issue, the other one did not have any shelves in the shower to put any toiletries, one had an outlet near the bed that did not work when the lights were off, and the last one's closet kept flickering throughout the day and night. All of the rooms had AC issues, meaning the thermostats did not change to cold. The only way to change it were numbers that didn't say hot or cold, so we had no way of changing the thermostat. The room was set to a hot temperature, so we were all uncomfortable sleeping. The whole stay was a disaster and the workers did not care about the pipe issue until we left. Our family travels a lot, so we have two Gold members for Hilton. We booked the stay from a travel agency....When we checked in, they promised to honor the status, but gave us more trouble. We received three tickets listing perks for free breakfast, WiFi, and free water. The WiFi was extremely slow and did not work to the expected speed. In the morning, one of us got food at the buffet. When we all got downstairs, they came up to us saying the breakfast was not free. They argued that the first guy who gave us the ticket was wrong and we must pay for that meal. After conversing, they gave us his breakfast for free but did not grant it to the rest of us. As we were getting the rental car, our one traveler still eating calls us and says they made a mistake and we actually had free breakfast. By then, it was too late and we had a tour we had to get to. We picked him up and saw the receipt for the stay... There was a random charge for 85 Euros, which was not correct. They argued and said that was right, until we asked for proof of receipt. After finding nothing, they agreed and took it off. Because they gave us so much trouble, we were 30 minutes late for our tour, costing us even more. All of us would not recommend this hotel. P.S. In 2017, this bathroom issue occurred in another Hilton in Manchester. The man had to see a doctor after showering + brushing his teeth with dirty water. Hilton only said they are sorry for what happened and comped his stay. This has been a previous issue in other Hilton's, so knowing the cause should prompt them to warn traveler when they change the pipes. Not an upgrade I would pay for - the furniture had the faint stank of being outdated, as does the entire hotel. Executive lounge offerings were minimal - cold cuts, canned beer and house red wine at night. Very small gym and indoor pool with what appeared to be 100% locals getting fitness lessons. Felt like I was attracting attention by working out there - not what you want in a business hotel. Was not too impressed with the executive lounge, most 9f the time they just have a tray of brownies and mini plain biscuits. The breakfast downstairs was pretty good. They have a good variety of cereal, eggs, pastries, and custom omelets. I would not recommend paying extra for access to the executive lounge. read more

My stay here went well. There is a multilingual staff which allowed checking in and ordering room service easy. Although I can speak Spanish, I can appreciate that others aren't forced to understand to stay at the hotel. I was awarded an upgrade because of my status and room was spacious and modern. The hotel corridors and rooms were very dark, poorly lit. The corridors were so dark as to be a safety issue. The bathroom was shiny but disfunctional, with a transparent sink that is really ugly as soon as it has water drops on it. There was no free shuttle into town center although it was listed on line. Bath had both a shower and tub! Service consistently professional from all members of staff. Rewards members have access to large bright lounge, free wifi and full breakfast. In comparison to other lounge floors experienced in other cities (Prague, Amsterdam airport), surprised to see almost all the food options (lounge, dine in, breakfast) were very Americanized- almost no local flavor! In a country that has relatively cheap and flavorful cheeses, hams, and wine - it's a pity. Far from city center though hotel offered free shuttle downtown. What a beautiful hotel!!! The decor was very Euro. We stayed there in October so I'm a little behind on the review. But my son was invited to the Red Bull Rookie Try Outs in Alcaniz, Spain. So we stopped here on our last night to be close to the airport. The staff was very pleasant and easy to talk to. And that was a BIG PLUS since we'd been struggling all week with the language. The room was a nice size and the bathroom was huge. Lots of glass in the room since the walls for the bathroom were glass. The room service was great, smelled good and tasted even better. Surprisingly, a very swanky and modern hotel, which isn't what i expected from Hilton! What kind of sucked is that Hilton Rewards are still pretty weak when i benchmark them against Marriott/Starwood. As a Gold member, they only provide 20% off the bar tab - i was hoping for free wifi, complimentary breakfast or something more valuable (in my opinion). Also, their gym only has 1 treadmill. The hotel is also about 20 minute walk away from a really big shopping center. There are quite a few resturants, shops, and a movie theater in there. The walk is ok during the day but at night it is rather scary. You're walking by an empty playground which is next to a ghetto. If you take a cab, its around 7 euros. read more

Lonely-business-travellers brooding around embracing the vacancy of their own reflections in captive stares of passive disinterest. Rooms that are stupidly designed to look artistic, but which just serve as unfunctional spaces. All while maintaining their business-hotel anonymity. As visually striking as frosted glass restroom doors look, they also have the unfortunate consequence of being transparent. The gentle scent of airport hotel prostitute wifting through the air. Complete with a rip-off restaurant featuring a fine selection of the very bottom of the barrel of mass-produced spanish wine and a generic menu of unneccesarily expensive but inoffensive dishes. No one from Spain has ever set foot inside this hotel. If you're looking for a flavorless cocoon to rest yourself in close to your pharmaceutical conference but far away from humanity, this is your joint. read more

Great hotel with everything modern and spacious. We stayed here 5 nights. Rooms are super quiet inside and no problem regulating the thermostat of the room, which was a problem we had w/ many hotels we stayed at. 20% off your tab at the bar if you're a gold member, and free 2 hours of wifi in the lobby (but we were able to use it longer. PW was hiltonmadrid?). However, there's not free wifi in the rooms, and it's 9 euros per 24 hours. Free shuttle to/from airport ~10 mins. Huge shopping center nearby. Plaza Mayor is about 18-20 euro taxi ride, I think about 20 minutes by car. We rented a car, and the freeway exit to the hotel was really confusing...as was all the driving there in general if you're not familiar. Breakfast buffet (26 euro?) was amazing. The front desk was very helpful w/ various issues & special need requests that we had, they were awesome. Minor complaint is that there's no mirrors in the bedroom, they're only in the bathroom..that's all I can think of. read more

Everyone is friendly the reception desk attendants speak English very well that was a plus the food for breakfast was great the chef that prepared my egg white veggie omelette with no cheese was perfection I really enjoyed dining and sitting in the spacious room with skylights above. They use recyclable materials which means they're trying to keep the carbon footprint down that's another plus they have outlets everywhere for you to charge your phone they have a tub and shower in my double suite. I particularly like the Bidets in Europe. Cleanliness is important and they hit the mark. Very thorough! The beds are kind of hard but the bedding is soft. I like that the Air conditioning system didn't come on right away with the lights. Most hotel still have the A/c running through the winter. It's so annoying. The shower is thee Best Shower I've ever had in the world!! The shower head is adjusts about 1000 different ways. Water pressure adjustable too!!! Whaaaat! Got hot really fast. There was no leaking on the floor outside the shower! Big soft towels! Hand towels!!! But the WiFi, it keeps dropping in and out. read more

I stayed there from Dec 26 till Jan 4 Hotel is nice Staff are nice Executive lounge is lacking compared to other European Hotels They close at 8 pm Bar is from 6 pm till 8 pm No hard Alcohol and on my final night they didn't bring the beer till 6:25 pm Guaranteed they will still close at 8 pm sharp Being a Diamond member usually has it's perks but this place seems to be not up to par with other Hotels Their hot entries aren't really that good read more

A fairly new hotel catering to the business traveler. Super close to Madrid's Barajas Airport - the hotel offers shuttle service to and from the airport on a frequent basis. If you're in Madrid to visit the city, the hotel offers a shuttle to the center of the city twice in the morning - you will need to reserve a spot. (Of course you can always take the airport shuttle instead and then the metro into Madrid but kind of a pain.) The rooms themselves are very modern with a very spacious bathroom that includes a separate shower and bathtub (oh and a bidet too if you're into that sort of thing.) If you are Diamond or get an Executive Room, the Lounge is definitely a big perk. There is a fridge full of water, soda and beer that you have access to from 7am to 1130 pm. There is a light continental breakfast in the morning (you can also have at the full buffet breakfast for free as well). In the afternoon, there are light snacks. At 6.30, the liquor and heavy apps are served. The hotel staff is very helpful and I could always find someone who could speak English. I'd give up the last star if they had more shuttle service to the center of the city. (Those 20 euro cab rides can add up!) read more

I am not a fan of ultra modern decors and found this place a bit cold and dark. The location was bad too - in the airport property and we had to walk 10-15 mins to the near by "town center" and metro. I tried it once upon arrival and never wanted to repeat. The taxi ride to center of Madrid took about 25-40 mins depends on the traffic and costed me 22 to 30 Euros each way. I broke the bank going just to go downtown everyday (as taxi was really the only viable option). My room was really spartan and no carpet. I got probably the worse room on the property - my window looked right into the swimming pool and gym. If I didn't close my curtain, they would have a good view of me in my room - like a fish bowl. If I have my say on where we were to have our meetings, I would never have come back to this property. If people can fly a few hours into Madrid, they can travel another 30-40 mins to middle of the city and have a better experience. btw... it was not cheap... at 280 Euro a day, I could have gotten better options downtown. read more

Arrived late afternoon after dumping off the car at the airport and hostess snapped the lounge is closing in 10 minutes, closing the big glass door...hot offerings gone, no peanuts and bottom of the bowl for chips...last time we were here it seemed more luxy in the 4th floor lounge but 10 months is long ago...just got used to eating late...she shut the TV off whirl someone was on the sofa: not subtle at all. The AC was off. Time to go! Have to say when I went by early afternoon the lounge was bombed out and that hostess was pulling out the vacuum cleaner...place had dirty stuff everywhere and she was dealing with another client complaining about something...handed him the phone while she waited, counting the minutes. Had to get my own ice.... If the lounge is open to 8pm keep it clean and pleasant until 8pm...what if I want to use the space or the computers? I've earned this...the amenities are what goes in the mix and makes me chose Hilton, not Marriott. The rooms are comfy...we got a very nice, big room. I am going three stars on the hopes of a wonderful breakfast tomorrow...hope I do not have to come back to amend this... read more
