Dates of stay: September 9 - September 13, 2022 Room: 204 I was optimistic that this hotel, just outside of Paris, would be the perfect place for the Paris portion of our honeymoon, but it was pretty disappointing on multiple fronts. The first is that there was no upgrades available; seems odd that a Diamond member staying four nights would get a little something, but apparently not. Not the end of the world, just another little thing to add to the pile. Check in was at least efficient, we were able to get our keys and get over to our room within just a couple of minutes. The room however, left much to be desired. Not even sure where to start: The piece of art near the door was taken off the wall and remained sitting on the shelf in the entryway for the entire stay. There were hooks in the living room for another piece of art, but that was nowhere to be found. The room was relatively spacious for France, with a decent-sized closet and television, plus a small couch with a table that would have been good for a meal brought into the room. The mini fridge was helpful for stashing waters to keep hydrated and USB ports were plentiful for charging. The bed was also firm and had enough pillows for both of us. The bathroom was a big disappointment. There is no shelf in the shower, which is very small. I ended up tucking a towel into the rack in the back and stuffing items into the folds. Sadly, each day housekeeping undid this and I had to redo it to take a shower. The counter in the bathroom is a bit too small for two people though I appreciated the makeup mirror to check Housekeeping was scattershot; some days we received more water and others we did not. Some days we received a new complement of toiletry items and some days we did not. A crib sat a couple doors down from our room in the hallway for the first two days of our trip. Thankfully it was devoid of children when we came across it! The carpets on the second floor always looked as though they hadn't been vacuumed in days and I was relieved that I never dropped anything on the floor as I would then have to determine if I wanted to risk picking it up again or leave it as a gift of the wind, given the condition of the carpet. The gym was decent for the size of the hotel and never too busy, though why they left a giant container of disinfectant wipes open on the counter instead of in the container just above it was odd to me; each morning I had to throw away several dry wipes to get to one that would actually disinfect. Do not use the currency exchange services! When we visited, the Euro was at about even with the dollar, but the hotel was offering .77 Euros to the dollar, a giant windfall for the hotel! I just wish the other Hilton hotels in Paris weren't so expensive as this one was a bit of a dud. read more

We typically try to stay at Hiltons when traveling and this location had a great rate during our stay. Unfortunately, it was a bit of a letdown. They are currently undergoing renovations and the usual entrance wasn't accessible. There is nowhere by the hotel to physically drive up to it. You have to park far away and walk no matter what. They are attached to the CNIT Center, which would've been helpful to know when trying to find this place late at night (after 9pm you cannot enter the hotel through the daytime entrance). There is a parking garage conveniently located nearby to park at and they are also right at a metro stop, which was useful for coming and going around the city. The bathroom was gorgeous in our room. The bed was comfy. What I found odd is that the window is not actually to the outside, it's looking into the CNIT center. Really messed with the overall lighting in the room. If coming to Paris again, I'd opt for a hotel more conveniently situated for accessing by car, but this spot is nice and the staff are helpful. read more

The hotel was nice in the business district. There was the mall right next door and between the mall and the hotel they had an outdoor park that served food and had plenty of activities. The hotel staff was very helpful in many ways . They gave me ideas of restaurants and places to hang out and shop. I would most definitely stay there again. The breakfast was amazing with the cooked to order omelette s and amazing bread dishes. The meats were great also. The happy hour at the Tangerine Bar was excellent. Overall it was a great experience and i am happy I stayed there. The shower was extremely small is the only negative i had read more

I personally give zero stars but that is not acceptable on this app stay three nights each room had two parties returned from a night of a concert barely made any noise and persons walking in the hallway making loud noise was blamed on my room called down we personally call downstairs from another occupants room concerning our safety. Francis the overnight manager at the front desk came up after they call and no answer knock on the door came inside my room to the connecting room knocked on the door no answer went to the room use the master key to enter the room and then the guest decided to say that it was being loud the next night I asked for water and I was the response I received was no noise complaints tonight my response was what I asked for water and I was informed by the night manager Francis that is customary to knock on the wall or door and/or instead of handling it by calling the front desk I went outside to smoke attempted to come back into the building it was not letting in less than two minutes later another guest showed up press the button and was let in and then I went out again to smoke but make sure I had my phone in hand and was recording everything and there was no issue with me leaving or entering the building and front staff put their heads down as I walked by because they seen I was recording an stated i was calling corporate due to racism I give zero reviews if you choose to travel to Paris I strongly suggest that you do South a France because apparently racism is strong in quote read more

We couldn't have asked for a better hotel in the Paris area. The location may be a little intimidating for most tourists, because it isn't really in the touristy areas. However, I think this was a great location. I wouldn't have changed where we stayed in Paris at all. Right downstairs is a mall with several restaurant choices and tons of shopping. At night, the area was very quiet, so it was perfect if you like a quiet evening. Public transportation was just downstairs from the hotel (literally walk out the door and downstairs and you are there) and it will take you anywhere you might want to go easily. Considering my French is limited (I haven't taken it or used it since high school MANY years ago), the public transportation was extremely easy to follow (just a side note). The room was spacious and tastefully decorated. Staff at the hotel were extremely friendly and accomodating and the breakfast (included as a Hilton Honors Gold member) was excellent. This would certainly be a hotel I would stay in again if I ever get back to Paris! read more

Do not recommend RER train from airport with luggage during rush hour (M-F)--no room during rush hour to/from Châtelet les Halles station to La Défense station on RER A Train. During our 3 nights in Paris, we stayed at Hilton La Defense for 2 nights. It's a modern hotel, with all the amenities that you'll need from a 4-star hotel. It's located right off the last stop of the M1 metro, at the La Defense stop. It appears to be connected to the mall, so it's relatively easy to find, just look for the signs that say Hilton when you come out of the metro. We had a room on the 3rd floor, only 5 floors total, with the view of the atrium below. The wi-fi is FREE in the lobby area, but since our room was looking at the lobby (just 2 floors above), we were able to still get free wi-fi access from our room. Otherwise, I think you have to pay for wi-fi in the rooms! We lucked out. :) Bed was comfortable, bathroom was a good size and there was a small sofa in the room too. :) Dim lighting, but suitable for the decor, etc. Our package came with free breakfast in the morning downstairs, they start serving at 7am. Breakfast ranges from meats, cheese, cereal, yogurt, fruits, oatmeal, juices, milk, smoked salmon, eggs, sausage, bacon, hash brown, breads, croissants, etc. We felt full from this well stocked breakfast buffet. yum! Staff was courteous and friendly. If you come back to the hotel after 11:00 pm at night, you can only enter through the entry way by the taxi stands (instead of through the mall). There are very few eateries open late at night past 11:00 pm in the La Defense area, so just take note of that. Would recommend that you eat inside the city before coming back to rest. We were able to find a pizza / pasta place nearby to grab a bite to eat after 11:00 pm on Saturday night though. :) read more

While in Paris for the holidays we stayed here and enjoyed every moment. It was our oasis of calm from the crazy driving adventure that we had in France...it was right on the metro, surrounded by food and shopping and although it was located in the business district we never felt out of the city. We were treated very well, enjoyed Diamond upgrades and free meals and would gladly return for more pampering and clean fresh beds! The staff was well-healed and they gladly conversed in English and were attentive to our every need! Peace of related advice, when someone says, "whatever you do, don't rent a car and drive in Paris" go ahead and believe them...its ok. This hotel is a bit outside of where all the tourist attractions are. It is literally about a 2 minute walk from the train station which makes it easy to get around to/from. It's about a 30 euro Uber ride from the CDG airport. 40 euro by taxi. Keep in mind that taxis can pickup/drop off at the door of the hotel, Uber cannot do either. You can also take the train to/from the airport to this hotel as well if you don't want to pay that extra euro. It takes about 60-90 minutes. The staff was well versed in English. The was VERY helpful in making dinner reservations, informing of us times to/from destinations, along w/ recommendations. The hotel sits right along side the mall. During the Christmas season it is right across from the Christmas market in that area. Our room was large, w/ a VERY comfy bed. The bathroom is basic, along w/ the typical amenities that Hilton generally offers (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, bars of soap, q-tips, etc). There are not as many plugs in common areas to use. If you don't have an international charger you can call the front desk and they will let you borrow one if they have any to spare. Otherwise if you have a USB powered item, you can use the TV to charge a couple items. The room comes w/ a mini bar w/ all the usual drinks and snacks. The area for breakfast has an omelet bar, along w/ fresh juices, water, deli meat, cheeses, fruits, cereal, muffins, croissants and a few other items. Excellent located Hilton Came here as both a Diamond and Team member, so I got the service I wanted! Concierge was beyond helpful with recommendations, and they showed me around since I had my phone stolen in Belgium. Everyone at front desk was so friendly and made us feel welcomed. One thing that weirded me out was the security at the very front. Having to get our bags inspected all the time came off as a bit annoying. Another con was the room we had. It was lovely, clean, and roomy, but its located by a mall and what appeared to be a business center so we heard foot steps of people walking by. It woke us up a few times. It wasn't too loud but the sound of people's footsteps wasn't so pleasant. But that didn't matter since the breakfast was one the best tasting I've ever had. I've been to 100's of Hiltons and this breakfast was #1! The latin chef who prepared my omelet made the best one I've ever had. I had to go a 2nd time to see if he can match his craft and it was just as delicious as the first time. And the croissants, Oh my they are to die for! Best croissants of my life! What I also loved about this Hilton was the location and its access to the train! The train system in Paris is one of the easiest to access, and this place is one you can't miss! Its also safe to say this is one of the safest Hilton's in the city. I was pretty nervous after being a victim of pick pocketing so it was a relief to hear from staff that I was in a safe zone! I also liked that I got 2 free drinks at the bar with my check in. I was thoroughly satisfied with my stay and will come back here again with my family! Oh and my brother loved the Burger he ordered at the restaurant. He doesn't say much but he's a big burger fanatic and wanted me to share that! read more

The relatively modern design of the area and building felt cold and stark compared to the beauty and all the antiquity of Paris. Even the interior seems somewhat dark and sterile. Nice enough hotel, but it is far from the stuff we went to see, albeit a convenient metro ride away. With five floors, our second floor junior suite had a view of la arche de la defence, as well as the taxi staging area. Don't tell but when I have a nice view, and I always strive to, I sometimes leave the drapes open. Here that would have meant the taxi drivers lined up waiting to pick up hotel guests would have a nice view into our room. That's not good for anybody, so the drapes stayed closed. So these are location and design sort of things, that you can't do much about. The service was great, and the staff friendly and knowledgable, speaking English relatively well and putting up with my French. Rooms were uncharicteristically spacious for Paris and both the bed, and believe or not, the sofa bed were comfortable. No ice machine so room service is called if you need some. They took a while one of the two times we needed some. Housekeeping did a great job and was prompt meeting our requests. No Hilton Honors room upgrade was available to us, nor any different view, although the hotel didn't feel full. We didn't partake in the complimentary for gold members breakfast, kids and jet lag and all. We didn't go to Paris to eat at the hotel. read more

Thumbs down. Some people say Paris Hilton is a slut. I can say that the Hilton, Paris is a slut. Every single thing requires some payment. The only thing we didn't pay for was a bucket of ice, which has to be delivered because there are no ice machines. No Free WiFi in the lobby area like other Hiltons. We paid for the WiFi which was going to be 20 Euros a day, but because our stay was longer than four nights, it was 9 euros per day. When it failed to work for two days, I got the remaining days for free and the previous days taken off the bill. Staff was accommodating and helpful with directions in the nearby neighborhood. The restaurants in the hotel had sky-high pricing, even for Paris, which is sky-high everywhere. The Hilton La Defense location is very handy because it is on the A train line (metro stop La Defense). One can get to it from Orly and CDG airports by taking the B train and then the A train connection at Châtelet station. It is no more than a 30-40 minute ride from either of those airports. There is a normal Metro conection (#1 line) right under the CNIT building which is where the Hilton is located. Room was Spartan by Hilton standards. No robes, small towels and not much drawer space. Kinda sucked. Bathroom was huge and closet was small. Bad design. read more

I stayed here last week, for a week in Paris, while my husband had to travel for work. It is the last stop on the metro and located in a large business district. While it doesn't feel like Paris, it's just a short metro ride to many tourist areas. The hotel staff was extremely friendly. I'm sure they have to endure a ridiculous amount of questions every day from travelers. You can buy metro tickets in a vending like machine next to the lobby. The breakfast was great, the rooms we're clean, and it's very safe outside too, even at night. Special thanks to Suzon, at the front desk for all of her help during the week. And there was another man, I didn't get his name but they were all helpful! The hotel is attached to a big mall, but the air conditioning was limited and it was very crowded on a Saturday. There is another small mall next to it as well where I bought wine and water throughout the week. Again, it's all very safe around the area. My only complaint - and not against the hotel- is not being able to find where my uber drivers where because they aren't allowed to pick you up in front of the hotel read more

I am a regular at this Hotel - and would immediately change if I decided myself...and if it would not be directly opposite of our Paris offices... Service level is poor, most rooms face the shopping centre, breakfast is a shame (even for France at a 26Euro price tag). I ask the Concierge where I could buy a suitcase - repeated it three times until I thought he understood - he did not, he understood supermarket and send me directly to one... For 250 Euro a night in a four star hotel I would expect to NOT pay an additional 20 Euro/day for internet access! If in France I would expect some nice cheese for breakfast - what you get is a plastic wrapped cheddar of the cheapest sort...in addition to other very cheap ingredients on the buffet menu - and this for an additional 26 Euro. I love this hotel and stay here yearly. It's located inside the shopping mall at La Defense business district of skyscrapers and is very quiet. If you don't know it's inside the mall then you will easily bypass it. The staff are friendly and attentive to your needs. I always look forward to the complimentary bottle of Verve Cliquot champagne and freshly baked pastries placed in my room. It's such a lovely way to welcome guests especially after a long flight from the USA. The French have such panache. Vive La France! read more

My husband and I recently visited Paris for the first time and chose to say at the Hilton in La Defense. Overall we were happy with our stay here, and would consider staying there if we ever return but there were definitely some "pros" and "cons" to this hotel. Hotel/Location: As other reviewers have mentioned, the hotel is located in the CNIT building which consists of several shops and restaurants (there is a full mall across the street) and is located more in the business district of Paris than anything. While this meant we weren't within walking distance of the major "sites" it worked out surprisingly well since both the Metro and the RER trains could be accessed right from the CNIT building (i.e. no need to even go outside). This proved to be extremely convenient as we could reach anywhere in Paris within minutes. Room: Our room was ok but certainly not the best we've seen from a Hilton - it was a decent size with a large desk area and plenty of room to store our luggage. The bathroom was large with a shower stall and a separate jetted tub, but it wasn't as updated or clean as the rest of the room which was a little disappointing. No real complaints though and we didn't hear any noise from our neighbors or the hall. Service: The staff here was fine but there wasn't anyone that really stood out. We didn't have an real issues either so no real complaints here. I was a bit surprised that the majority of the staff did not speak English very well especially since the hotel clearly catered to business travelers, but that's obviously more of an observation than anything. Food: We had the breakfast buffet every morning at the hotel (it was included in our room rate). It was pretty good with a fair number of options, though it was the same offering every day. The staff was friendly enough but it was a struggle to get coffee every morning. We also had dinner at the bar in the lobby our first night there (easy option since we were exhausted from traveling all day) and it was fine. A bit overpriced but that was to be expected. Gym: The gym was more than adequate with several treadmills and different types of ellipticals as well as a good selection of free weights and a cable machine. It was a good sized area as well and didn't feel like an afterthought as many hotel gyms do. I would certainly recommend this hotel, but don't expected to be 'wowed' while staying here. read more

Our stay at the Hilton la Defense was awesome. This is a pretty small Hilton connected to a mall. We were upgraded upon check in, the staff were very helpful, and the hotel was very clean. The bar/restaurant in the lobby was very good too. The only issue was that the entry to the hotel is a little confusing, as the taxi/shared ride drop off and pick up was a short distance away. Most ride shares had difficulty dropping us off. Overall, good stay and I would recommend thjs hotel to others. read more

We stayed here for 4 nights while touring Paris. We drove from Brussels, so I wanted a hotel that was close to the city, but not in the city as we knew we couldn't handle all the traffic circles and congestion. However, it would have been nice to be closer to an area that was open late. When driving, the GPS could not bring us directly to the hotel. We wound up parking in a lot further away, but it was fine. 4 nights- 50 Euros for parking. Not bad. When booking, I told them it was a honeymoon do-over and they upgraded us into an extremely large room. We had a view of outisde, which was nice. The room was immaculate. It was spotless. The chaise was ridiculously comfortable. I started to doze off everytime I sat down. The staff was so friendly. I had a lot of questions and they happily helped with everything. We learned that the CNIT center has free wi-fi, so if you sit near the elevators, you can pick up the signal. That was nice. We also got coffee and breakfast at CNIT every morning, which was nice. The Decathalon store sells water and gatorade for good prices. The metro was perfect. As someone said before, everything shuts down at night, so you have to get out at the grande arche exit from the underground and walk to the front of the hotel, near the thumb statue (weird). We stopped by the mall across the street. It was okay, but there were gypsies begging and it wasn't pleasant. One night we were super tired and decided to just have dinner at the restaurant. I wasn't a huge fan. I filled up on cheese and couldn't eat my entree. I just wanted to go to bed. If we're ever in Paris again, we would love to stay here! read more

Stayed here for 3 nights in August 2009 and enjoyed it. As a Diamond member, we received free breakfast in the Executive Lounge. Unfortunately, the Lounge was undergoing construction while we were there, and our room was right underneath it. However, Hilton refunded one nights' worth of points for the inconvenience, so I was happy! The hotel is pretty far out of the way if you're trying to see the touristy stuff in Paris, which we were. Hence the deduction of one star for location. Next time I'm in Paris, I'll stay at the Hilton closer to all the Paris action. read more

They ignored my status as a diamond member, were not able to give me the SA,e room for two nights ( I had two different reservations) and there was no food at the bar at 10:45 PM. Be careful if you arrive late ( after 9 PM) and park in the public garage, you will have to search for the side exit to exit the mall to the street and enter to the hotel from there since all other doors are closed read more

This location is in a business district of Paris with easy access to the train as it is under the hotel. The access is closed from the hotel at 9 from the train so you have to go around a bit if you come in later but it's not that inconvenient. There is also a mall inside the hotel which makes it nice if you need something, as well as food options close by if a snack before catching the train to your destination. You can ride the train from either airport here or catch a cab for around 40€ read more

Nice Hilton standards (large rooms and comfortable beds) located under CNIT dome in La Defense business district. Only 7 minute Metro ride to Arc d'Triomphe. Area shuts down at night so if returning from Paris later via Metro, it is a longer and more complicated walk to get back to hotel entrance. I appreciate this hotel's nice large rooms and the abundance of hot water in the shower. However, this hotel is HOT! We're visiting in the middle of November and our room has never cooled off past 78. I specifically chose this hotel because they advertised that they have air conditioning. Well they may have air conditioning, but when I complained that the ac in our room wasn't working properly I was told that the ac is turned off! It's so hot that we can't sleep in this oven, and so now we're exhausted and completely unable to enjoy our vacation. I deeply regret staying here on this trip. read more

I have stayed here a couple of times for business and like the hotel. Pros: -Is a large facility, with restaurant onsite -All of the staff that I've met speak English -Very safe -Comfortable rooms with excellent showers -Take the RER train (A line) to the city - it takes 10-15 minutes, which is significantly faster than a taxi) Cons: - Uber doesnt appear to allow you to be picked up from here (the plaza is only open to taxis). If you want Uber, select "Hotel Pullman" from the locations list and walk 5 mins across the bridge to that hotel. - The area (financial services, mall) is sparse for dining options. This is my favorite Hilton in Europe so far. Staff is very friendly and go out of their way to be accommodating. I loved that the room was so modern, but only a few merto stops from Paris. There's also a direct train from here to Palace of Versailles. Amazing breakfast with so many options including made to order omelettes and crepes. The name is a little deceptive since it's not actually in Paris (I didn't know La Defense was a different city). We took a taxi from the train station to the hotel when we got to Paris because we wanted to make it easier with a toddler and luggage, but took the metro on the way back. It took about 20 min and 1 change of trains. You can get to the metro station right from the hotel lobby. read more

We had a 4 day stay at this hotel while visiting Paris. The rooms are large, bright and clean. If you want the save a couple of bucks and don't mind staying outside the city, this is an excellent choice. It is about a 15 min metro ride to anywhere in the city. The station is located directly under the hotel. The real stars of the hotel are definitely the staff. Everyone here was warm and welcoming.
