Review for Renaissance Paris Hippodrome St. Cloud Hotel - September 2025 We stayed here in September 2025 while celebrating my grandson's wedding. My family (daughter, her husband , my son, and a close friend) all traveled from the U.S. -- Virginia, Texas, and California -- and we are all longtime Marriott Bonvoy members. We've always trusted the Marriott brand for its high standards and hospitality. The hotel itself was beautiful, the rooms were great, and overall the accommodations were exactly what we expect from Marriott. No complaints there. Unfortunately, the restaurant service on Tuesday, September 16th left us extremely disappointed. After a wonderful day at Disneyland Paris, we wanted to enjoy a relaxed dinner at the hotel. Instead: * Drinks were delayed and only came after several reminders. * After finishing our meal, no one brought us a check, even though we saw our server bring checks to other tables. * We asked multiple staff members, but no one followed through. * Finally, we were told we had to get up from our table and pay at the bar -- even though other guests were able to pay normally at their tables. This was confusing, felt dismissive, and honestly took away from what should have been a perfect last night in Paris. It was especially frustrating because we had ordered full meals (not just drinks) and had been nothing but polite guests. For a Renaissance/Marriott property, this type of treatment was shocking. As loyal Bonvoy members, we expected better. The rest of the stay was great, but our final memory at this hotel was being treated as "less than" valued guests, which is not something I've ever experienced at a Marriott before. I hope management takes this seriously, because the property itself is wonderful -- but the restaurant service absolutely needs attention. read more

I made a reservation using my Visa card to get a discount and included breakfast. Then then jacked the price that they charged 80 euros a night and didn't included breakfast at 22 euros each persons. When I call customer service they acknowledge they had a visa rate when I booked but it was up to the hotel to decide if I would get it. So basically calling me a liar they said I need to show proof of this visa program in writing. Even tho the customer service Rep confirmed it. The hotel did not even have the courtesy to tell me I had to go and ask if they would change it. Another negative was we asked at the front desk if Versailles was open because Monday most places are closed around Paris. We were assured it would be open (guess what) it was not, wasted trip only part of a day ruined. read more

Even though this hotel is a bit off the beaten path, as far as visitors to central Paris is concerned, the public transportation options make it a breeze to get there. Located adjacent to the St. Cloud hippodrome and Paris Country Club the surrounding neighborhood is quiet while still within walking distance of a shopping center and supermarket. The hotel itself is quite modern and the rooms are as one would expect of a Renaissance property, the staff is very friendly and provides exceptional service. The nicest aspect of this hotel is that it provides the convenience of shuttle service to the train station or nearby places in the form of a luxury vehicle, in our case a Porsche Panamera, not many hotels still have this perk. Additionally, the hotel has a small fleet of electric vehicles that it rents out to its guests at a reasonable rate. The hotel restaurant is great for breakfast albeit not so much for dinner. I went twice for dinner and both times was disappointed in the menu selection and more importantly in the meal itself, which was bland and uninteresting. Perhaps I would be less critical if the restaurant were located in suburban New York but given that it is in suburban Paris I expected more. There is no doubt that there are closer choices but none are as tranquil as the Renaissance Paris Hippodrome and the few have the service to match. The availability of a fleet of electric cars for rent makes this an excellent choice when staying in Paris. read more

This new Marriott Hotel offers great service and very friendly staff. The hotel is very modern with up to date amenities. There is a great restaurant onsite. The hotel is situated on outside of Paris away from the noise and bustle of the city but close enough to take the train or metro into town. The hotel does offer a shuttle service to the local metro or train station. This was our first time in Paris and the Renaissance made it a wonderful experience! read more

First I must tell you this hotel is far from the center of the city. From Champs-Élysées it takes 20 minutes and thats with no traffic. An uber from the center of town costs about 20 Euro. Also when you put the address in the navigation system it actually takes you to the side of the hotel and not the front. So what happens is you pull up to a gate and a large empty parking lot and you think you are in the wrong place. If you drive a little to your right you will see the main entrance. The hotel is very pretty(especially the grounds) and the staff is very kind. And the breakfast in the morning is top notch as well as the staff. A nice hotel if you want to be out of the way of things. read more

This brand new hotel opened in June 2014 and myself, my best friend and my daughter were fortunate enough to be there guests for 7 nights in July. Despite a few minor little hiccups we experienced, and those can be expected at any new hotel after opening, we love this property! What was memorable was the way the staff responded...friendly, excellent followup, attentive and hospitable! This is a quaint area in France but to get to Paris its about 40 Euros one way, so can get expensive if you want to sight-see. There is no shuttle yet but perhaps they will get one later. Rooms are wonderfully spacious, modern and up-to-date with latest amenities. Well done Renaissance, well done! read more

I would say if you are a person of color, don't choose this hotel but I'm sure that would be more in there favor. This hotel treated me and my friends like second class citizens. They Constantly asked us to verify our room #. (Even when we needed our food heated up.) Followed around the hotel. Continuously stared at by staff. When we attempted to advocate for ourselves, we were given an "oh well" (to sum it up) response from the hotel manager. We reached out again when we returned in April 30, 2018 to express our discomfort, still waiting.. will never utilize this company Renaissance Paris Hippodrome de St. Cloud Hotel again .! This was only a few things we experienced during our stay. It was by far the WORST PART of my trip to Paris. I would've given them two stars if they wouldn't have lost our reservation when we checked in and then attempted to kick us out before our actual check out date. read more
