First of all, this place is worth a visit. It's as much a museum as a shop, and the owner, Tom, is a knowledgeable curator. The selection of hinges, handles, knobs, doorbells, architectural accents, etc. is incredible, and if they don't have it they'll get it. What really blew me away was the repair work Tom and crew did on my old (discontinued) exterior door. Called in. They took my name and number and said someone would call me back. Never did. Called again the next week. I needed to order replacement parts for old Marillat cupboards. Though told them I needed almond color trays received white. They tend to be more interested in getting the order than getting it right. I'm keeping what they sent. Not wanting to hassle with return and reorder since item was drop shipped from RICHELIEU AMERICA. Check on internet. Home Depot can get parts from them and returns may be easier when it's their error. Be very specific. If possible email information so they can't claim you DID receive what you ordered. read more

We recently moved and our movers lost one of the handles to our console. The handle is a skeleton key shaped. We went all over the city (San Francisco and the surround areas) and could not find any to match. We then decided to replace all the handles on the console and still could not find a skeleton shaped 2 inch handle. We searched online and found this company. Gina is awesome!! What a huge selection!!! It was almost overwhelming, but it you want choices then this is the place. Lots of vintage looking hardware. It would be a dream place for someone restoring an older home but it has modern things too. It's a little crowded but worth it for the vast selection. read more
