We were recommended to the Frame Shop (formerly the Frame Factory) and Matt Bean by a local artist…read moreand dealer. We had a large photograph which was over 100 years old. We wanted to frame and hang it in our home. We spoke to Matt and explained what we would like to do. We showed him the photograph and he proceeded to make suggestions on the frame style and color, mat color and thickness, the type of glass as well as decorative edging on the mat. Yes there is different types of glass and thicknesses of mats that can make a difference. After several days, Matt sent a picture to me on my phone showing what it would look like for our approval. It wasn't inexpensive but it turned out to be exquisite and just what we envisioned. The professionalism, ability to turn our ideas and vision into reality and the timing took a talented artist and framer's mind to do all of this. Yes you could get it done cheaper but not the way this photograph turned out. We are to say the least pleased.

Extremely disappointed in: --The amount of time it took them…read moreto finish a simple job --The quality of the work --The ridiculous price (more than twice the estimate). --And when I arranged a time to pick up the stool on a Friday afternoon (well before their posted closing time), the shop was locked up tight when I arrived. The job was straightforward. Add new padding and reupholster a stool with a triangular seat and rounded wooden base. The new padding doesn't extend to the edges of the wooden seat. The fabric is stapled to the base, but the staples weren't all the way in. (I cut my finger when I tried to reach the stool's height control.) It took me a whopping three minutes with a tack hammer to set the staples. The base of the stool has a rubber pad. For some reason they used what seem to be basic office staples to reattach the rubber pad. Another couple of minutes with my own staple gun solved that problem. But the padding being bunched in the center and not extending to the edges of the seat make the stool unusable without putting a cushion on top. I would not trust this company with even the simplest job.
