8/14/2020: Don't go to this car wash!! Paid $15 for a Gold Wash. we got a wash, left, had lunch and realized upon returning to our van that a piece was missing near the passenger side mirror. We returned, showed our receipt to the cashier & he quickly located the part inside the blower area of the wash. We asked what they were going to do about it and he went to get the manager, Casey. Casey, the manager, was very polite and very NOT helpful. He said it's not something they will do anything about. So a part broke off our van and they take no responsibility - said it 'must have been damaged' before coming here. (It wasn't - we just got a car wash the day before w/no issues. We came from WA, over the pass and had bugs plastered across the van, so needed another wash). Didn't even offer to refund the wash fee. Nothing. Very frustrating. read more

We have been going here for 4 years - two cars - monthly car wash cards. Today they lost our business. The owner was exceptionally rude to my husband and insisted that our payment for our monthly cards did not go through. We were told when he signed up for it again - two weeks ago - that we were good to go. He insisted it did not and refused to even discuss it with my husband. OK then. I guess that they don't need the business. Since he is so sure our payment is not valid, we best not find it on our cc statement. They have doubled charged us several times as well...so check your monthly statements. Bottom line: Find somewhere else to go - this unpleasant, arrogant proprietor does not have a monopoly on the car wash business. read more

We used to like this car wash until two weeks ago when we took our one year old car in and came out with scratches on ALL FOUR SIDES of the car, including painted areas, chrome trim, and even the rubber window seals. It was clearly and absolutely a result of Hippo car wash, and unfortunately they would TAKE NO RESPONSIBILITY. Don't take the risk - there are plenty of other car washes in close proximity with more integrity. The insurance company says it is very obviously due to the car wash - the scrapes are mechanical and the same depth all over the car. This is the only place i will pay for a carwash. I probably go about every month or so. The prices/washes are straightforward and even the cheapy one includes free untimed vacuuming and use of a damp micofiber detailing wipe both of which i take full advantage of. Every time i leave the Hippo my car looks as good or better than the day i bought it. There is usually a bit of a wait line for the wash, but it's always been worth it to me - i just plan on going when i'm not in a rush. I'm a mom with a mini-van and being able to spend as much time as needed with a free high powered vacuum, cleansing cloth, floor mat wash and a garbage can is more important than the wash itself.
