Rented this place out for my boyfriend's surprise birthday party. It was more than perfect. We had…read moreabout 30 people there, brought 4 long tables for snacks/ beer pong, and even utilized the garage door as part of the surprise. There's no one else during the evening really in the building so music and noise was never a concern, which is always really nice. They had speakers there but we brought our own and they have a clean bathroom inside too. It was so much more affordable than any other spot too (looked all over downtown LA for the perfect spot). There's only one spot provided but there was a ton of street parking right across and no one had any issues with safety or anything like that. Also it was right next to my favorite street taco place so it was nice to grab midnight munchies next door. ERB is right next door too. Overall, 5 star experience. The people are super sweet and nothing was a hassle. Definitely would throw another party there again.

I was not able to get a tour of the studio but from my experience everything is ran very smoothly. There was no confusion on where to go or what to do and my boyfriend and I were very pleased at the staff. We were treated with the best customer service and the show was great! So happy I got to see the beautiful Chrissy teigen! I am such a huge fan! If you are interested in these shows you most definitely have to experience being a live audience. My first taping at The FABlife show!…read more The Studio: Located in downtown Culver City. There is a studio sign on Washington Blvd so you won't miss it. The Show: First season. Small studio but intimate. Beautiful set. The hosts are super super super friendly with the audience. They interact with the audience and chat with them when the show is finished. The stage manager is great in controlling the time, 2 hours taping. The Parking: For TV taping, you park at the public parking structure right across from the studio. The first two hours FREE then $1 per hour. Very reasonable price.

STEPH JUDGMENT: Great gallery born out of the street art movement…read more I first heard about them in an LA Times article talking about their exhibit on the art of GWAR, the pioneering horror sci-fi rock band. I'd heard of Beyond the Streets before through various Art in the Streets exhibits, but had no idea that they now had a permanent physical home until I read that article. The hubby and I are longtime GWAR fans so had to go check it out! There's metered parking around the gallery, but you can also park for free on nearby neighborhoods streets. The gallery was quite sizable, with several exhibition rooms and a gift shop, of course. It's free to enter, and the exhibit was really great. Since then the hubby and I've returned for the Shepard Fairey exhibit and are looking forward to coming back for more!

The gift shop was nice as well, but I was a bit underwhelmed by the mixing of merch for GWAR with other past exhibits. It felt like they could have been a bit more organized about that. Parking is street in LA so you have to have realistic expectations. I did have some issues with the parking meters out front that did not like my debit cards, so it took a few tries at a few spots before finding somewhere that worked. I don't count this against them because that's LAs fault, just wanted to share it with all readers here. Overall, it was an experience I made and was absolutely necessary for a Bohab like me.

They take care of the buildings and are on your side, a lot of people stay there for many years and I'm sure the management is a big part of that. The place is quiet and people who live there are nice and friendly. I worked from home and found it perfect for me. The area is great and getting better, never felt like the neighborhood was bad, and the secure parking is huge in downtown.
