Asana bills itself as a wellness center and I am not sure why, however, they are a nice gym. They have good hours, although they recently changed them. I went four times during my free week pass and it was never busy. I did go during the middle of the day, but other local gyms have more traffic at midday then Asana. The locker rooms are pretty well kept. You don't need a lock as all lockers have a personal code you can choose. It seemed clean, but I did notice there are no facial tissues. Now, this isn't a deal breaker, but if you want to stop the spread of germs it is a good idea to have some tissue boxes spread through the gym so you can sneeze or cough into. There is a sauna and several shower stalls to use. I did not use them, but they seemed like the were clean and in working order. The gym itself seems very new. The free weight area is large and well organized. They have barbells that go fairly high. The circuit machines are plentiful and it seemed like they have most of the most popular machines. I did notice that there is no squat rack inside. That is a pretty big and glaring missing piece of equipment. Outside they have an artificial turf area where you can squat, deadlift, etc, but it is a bit cramped as it is underneath metal stairs. If you want to do a standing shoulder press you have to move as the stairs are right above you. Not a deal breaker, but a bit strange considering there is no squat rack. Outside they have some old large tires. You can use them for pyrometric jumps or you flip them. They also have sledgehammers so that you can swing and hit the tires to work out your core. They have a push and a pull sled and about 30 feet to use for that. I thought it was ample space. They used to have a spin room for classes, but it has been converted now. It now houses more free weights, smith machines, and benches. The membership rates seemed very fair to me. There were three tiers. Just the gym, gym and two amenities, and gym and all amenities. The cheapest tier is about $10, then $20, then $30. You can also pay in full to lock in a rate. The rates seem pretty good, but having been around a lot of gyms and reading other reviews has me wondering. Many people complain about cancelling their membership or being contacted to show up. I hate dealing with membership services for something that should be simple, but then again I do not have any first hand experience with that as I came in as a guest. All in all the gym is pretty good. A few strange choices in terms of machines or placement, but nothing terrible. Besides Mia I thought customer service was pretty okay. Mia at the front desk is super helpful and nice.

Lots of times if I don't know where a machine is or how to use it, there is some near by you can ask and willing to help or show you. When I go the Gym Jax, I'm more motivated and ready to put work in than I have ever been. I'm greeted every day by a smiling staff member. It's the little things that mean the most. Plenty of equipment and machines so it's not a long wait on one particular machine. If it's something you really want to use most likely someone will let you work in with them. I've never been to a Gym that makes you feel like you belong than this one. It's my happy place and I look forward to going every day.

They are so welcoming and don't give off a snobby attitude if they haven't seen you in a little bit. Each of the rooms have a different class that plays every other hour for 24 hours. Between Hot Core, Hot Buns, Hot Yoga, Hot Warrior, and so many more, I never get bored. The FX weight area in the back is equipped with plenty of equipment. The manager, Ashley is so friendly! While Hotworx is more expensive than your traditional gym setting, it's much more accessible (24/7 hours) than other boutique exercise experiences and is much cheaper than their competition.

I love the people, the trainers, and the workouts, it is seriously like a family! The CUT by Capstone program helped transform my body to something I didn't think was possible. For many months, I'd been struggling with chronic lower back pain. I was getting chiropractic…read moreadjustments, doing rehab, and finally had to get a cortisone shot to put the constant pain at ease for a moment. It was the one thing I was trying to avoid, as I do my best to heal naturally and without meds when I'm hurt. I told myself that I would do it anyways with the intention of going back to a gym after the shot and strengthening my core so I can avoid this pain even after the shot wears off. I needed guidance, though. I have learned from the many years of doing any kind of exercise on a solo basis wasn't doing the job. Either I wasn't motivated enough to push myself hard enough or I wasn't aware of the bad form I was using or I was just doing exercises that would exacerbate my back and knee issues. I did a lot of research, as I do, and thankfully found this gem (get it?) Colin got in touch with me and I mentioned my health concerns ad nauseum. He made me feel very comfortable and confident that I could do this program while also preventing future injuries. The first week was rough. I thought I was still somewhat fit, but was slapped in the face with reality. I was determined at age 39 to get in better shape so that I avoided my back issues in the future. That first month took a lot mentally and physically, but the coaches were there the whole way to help when I had questions or concerns with any particular exercise. They alternate metabolic and strength training days from Mon-Sat and have several classes each day. The classes are going to involve a lot of body weight training combined with some free weights. You will be active 95-100% of the 45 minute class. They stress, constantly, the importance of using correct form which is an absolute must in keeping your joints protected. Fast forward nearly 7 months and I'm absolutely sure that I made the right choice here. Owners/Coaches Colin and Adam are exceptionally committed to their community and to your health. They check on you outside of the class and provide helpful tips in whatever you might be struggling with. Part-time Coaches Jillian and Brian are pretty amazing as well. I ate terribly and felt miserable all the time. I was a pre-diabetic. My blood pressure was elevated. I knew I needed change. Then I met Coach Adam, Colin and Jake. Coach Adam sat down with me and we went through nutrition, eating habits, goal plan & more. I was nearly 26% body fat. The first week was tough. The practices are meant to push you. The coaches encouraged me to go further while helping me know my limits. 6 months later I can say I never expected to be where I am today. I've had to buy all new clothes.
