My wife, baby, and I visited this restaurant during our stay, and unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing. The hotel mixed up our reservation date, which was not our fault. When we arrived, instead of trying to help or accommodate us, Alejandro and Natalia were very rude and unwelcoming. We felt like we were being treated as an inconvenience rather than valued guests. To make matters worse, they wanted to seat us in an isolated corner, and their attitude throughout the interaction was disrespectful and dismissive. Traveling with a baby can already be challenging, and a little kindness and professionalism would have gone a long way. We understand that mistakes happen, but there is no excuse for treating guests with such a lack of respect. This experience left a very negative impression and was far below the level of hospitality we expected. read more

This is located within Garza Blanca resort. They have indoor and outdoor seating. I typically am in the mood for the steak when I'm here but I wanted to switch it up. I always come here for yummy protein/sushi dinners! It's continually been a great experience with really unique sashimi plates. The service is wonderful, everyone is super kind and it was really a fun time when picking him up with a birthday celebration! The ambience is really high and the outdoor area overlooks the palm trees and pool. Wonderful for an evening to enjoy! Now for the food, we probably ordered like 20 dishes for three people. The sashimi slices are superduper, thin and dressed with delicious tasty sauces. The sashimi on top of seaweed salad was also delicious. We were able to taste every plate on the sashimi list (Hamachi is a MUST get) and got a couple rolls (spicy crab is sooo good) to enjoy. And omg I HIGHLY recommend the miso crème brûlée! The restaurant Hiroshi is fabulous. The service was amazing, the food was so fresh and presentation was great, and the ambiance was unbeatable. We sat outside on the terrace overlooking the pool and ocean. The weather was perfect! We decided to do our meals family style, at our waiter, Edwin's, recommendation. We ordered the tuna wonton appetizer, edamame, and popcorn shrimp. The quality of these appetizers was outstanding. So tasty and flavored so well! For dinner, we ordered the chicken, shrimp, and bacon wrapped asparagus skewers. We also ordered two of the mango sushi rolls and two shrimp sushi rolls. The food was so fresh and the fish was very high quality. For dessert, we got the coconut cake and the Japanese cake to share - they were both delicious. The service here is outstanding. Edwin did a phenomenal job and was very attentive. He gave great recommendations and was very friendly. All of the staff were great and were extremely helpful. We stayed here 6 days and ate here 3 times. We couldn't stay away after our first visit. Don't forget to make a reservation as it fills up daily. Everything was so fresh and delicious and we were hooked. We are major sushi fanatics back home and this topped a lot of our local sushi spots back home. Despite the hefty premium price tag, we also couldn't stop ordering the otoro every single visit. We tried both the otoro nigiri as well as sashimi. If you get it, you won't regret it. Perfectly fresh and fatty. Everything else was also fresh and delicious. Hiroshi is definitely one of our highlights on vacation as we didn't leave the resort this trip. The service is unlike any other sushi restaurant you've ever been to. The staff are very friendly and attentive. We loved Hiroshi when it was still located in Villa Del Palmar, but even more now at Garza Blanca. Everything got better with the move. We came here on Friday night and the food was really disappointing. This may be the worst meal in the last 3 years. Note that there are two hiroshi restaurants on the property. The one that we went was on the Garza Blanca side. The best dish was edamame with soy sauce and garlic. My toddler had two of those. Scallop sashimi was doused with too much spicy sauce that you could hardly taste the flavor of scallop but my husband liked it. The nigiris was ok but too expensive for the quality. Yuzu salmon sashimi: the presentation looked off from the pictures. And this one has mayo on it, which is not described in the menu. One would not expect yuzu kosho sauce to have mayo. Mexican roll: decent but still too spicy which stifles the delicate flavor of the fish. Catch of the day was bland. Get some lemon and salt to help if you end up here. The service was slow. AVOID at ALL COSTS. vegetable dumpling - it was not edible. Didn't look like dumpling - mushy and had sauce on these before the dipping sauce. Cucumber and seaweed salad - the flavor made this not edible. Desserts: really disliked them. Ice cream tastes worse than the ones from the ice cream truck. Didn't like the coconut dessert Can't go beyond the first bite. The worst part is that the meal was $80-90 per person for subpar food. read more

Pure artistry comes to mind when describing the culinary art prepared by chef Jonathan and his team. We have been coming for 10 years to Hiroshi and have never felt disappointed after a meal, which we often see as one of the highlights when visiting Cancun. All the food at Hiroshi is delicious, but for us the various sashimis, especially the yuzu salmon and the clams, and the maki rolls are standing out. A great addition to Hiroshi after they moved from Villa del Palmar to Carza Blanca has been the wood fired BBQ on which they prepare excellent grilled dishes. Here my favorite dish is the grilled duck breast. Finally, the desserts are excellent, especially the miso crème brûlée. As for the ambiance and the staff, they are all very friendly and professional, including the restaurant manager Edgar as well as the waiters. And if you come to celebrate your birthday, Martin might treat you on some fireworks. Overall, we always highly recommend this restaurant to friends. read more

This review is solely based on the hostess Beatriz (Garza Blanca location). Our flight to Cancun was delayed and didn't get to our hotel until after 4 pm. We haven't had any proper meal since we were handling the whole rebooking at the airport. When we got to Garza, we had to get situated as well. By this point, it was already around 5:30 pm so we head down and went to Hiroshi to grab a decent meal. We were greeted by a gentleman and he couldn't really speak English well so he called another person. Beatriz came and told us that we needed reservations and either way they can't have us dining as two of my family members were wearing tank tops. She said this with a stern look and walked away. I get that it's the restaurant policy but she could have handled it much more delicately. We could have gone back to the room and changed if that would qualify us. She could have discussed reservations but instead she just walked away. Mind you, the restaurant was almost empty around that time we came in. This is supposed to be a fine dining but the the quality of people representing the restaurant definitely needs improvement. read more

I got the Mexican roll and it was super good. My friend got the Philadelphia roll and it was just as good. Worst sushi ever. Just don't. I tried it because sushi is my favorite but it was just awful! Plenary of other great food options at this resort, sushi was not one of them. Weird combinations on the rolls that would make you scratch your head (like who uses smoked salmon for sushi?!), they were accommodating with substituting the smoked salmon for regular but the slices of fish on the roll were very thin and cheap, the rice even tasted off. Again, lots of great food at this resort, even fresh fish options (go try the Tikin Xic at Zama, one of the best things I ever ate), just save your money and appetite and go somewhere else. Just ate at Hiroshi but was asked by the hostess to put one a shirt with a collar (I was wearing a t-shirt and pants) because there is a dress code. She was nice about it and I understand. I changed and its fine. As we ate, a drunk woman was seated at the sushi bar dressed in almost beachwear. Two other women came in with hoodies and one wearing "booty" shorts.
