The worst food in my life. We got sick . The rice was very dry, and the fish old . The octopus like plastic . Tan bonito que se veía .

Great ambiance and service. But the food is just ok, with too much soy sauce, kind of salty.

If you are in Cancun staying at the Marriott, you MUST try this restaurant! EVERYTHING and I mean from the ambiance to the food and staff customer service was worth every dollar. We sat at the bar where the cook grilled the food. He was impressive and very meticulous. He created all of our food like an artist. He cleaned the grill so well after every dish he made too. Jesus was serving us answering all kinds of questions and also surprised us with a birthday treat for my twin sister and I. I would recommend the Tonkatsu ramen and other noodles. Sushi was fresh and large. Don't just keep reading...look at the photos and Drool!!!

I am very surprised to see such bad reviews. We ate here tonight, 5/31, and sat at a Teppan table. We had a 7 pm reservation. We were seated quickly (there were only 3 of us so we were seated with a family of 4). We had great conversation with our table mates and even shared a cab back to the hotel (ironically we were all staying at the same hotel). The service was good. The teppan chef was fun and entertaining. The food was reasonably priced and very tasty (the vegetables were prepared perfectly and the ginger sauce was fantastic). No desert as we were stuffed!

Really not a sushi place. Awful is an overstatement. Fish not fresh. Just plain awful.

Our family went here this week. Service was exceptional. Really top shelf with much attention to detail throughout our meal. We ate at the Teppanyaki Grill and were entertained by our chef very nicely. Two of us are vegan and they did a great job in accommodating us; even with an off menu vegan sushi creation as an appetizer. Regular sushi was great too. Our chef was even mindful of cooking the vegan entrees first before putting any meat, eggs or dairy onto the grill. This was very much appreciated as we've had other Teppanyaki style restaurants miss this important detail. We highly recommend Mikado for all. Thanks for making a fantastic dining experience for the whole family.

    Big fire!

We didn't have to make reservations for dining in for sushi, but you do have to make one for hibachi. Which we did for the next night. So we are definitely returning. So.. we ordered: For my Mr. Edamame Miso shiru Sashimi Kaizoku maki Mitsumame For me: Gyoza Cameron roca Ebi tempura temaki Spicy shake maki Cheesecake de matcha All the food was on point, they were bringing each one individually and I didn't feel rushed. Love my white wine. It paired well with all of it. My favorite was the tempura shrimp, sushi, and the dessert. The sushi was one of the best I've ever had and loved my pork gyoza. My Mr loved everything he ordered. He cleaned his plate, that how he liked it. When we come back to Cancun, we will make it a point to come back here again! It's that good. I can't wait for hibachi the next night!

The staff didn't…read morejust greet us; they welcomed us with the kind of warmth and attention that makes you feel like the entire evening was designed around you. Once we stepped onto the deck overlooking the lagoon, the whole experience elevated even further. The scenery was stunning, soft lights reflecting off the water, a gentle breeze, and live music drifting through the air like the perfect soundtrack to an already unforgettable night. Then came the food, each dish was its own little masterpiece. The bread service alone set the tone: warm, golden rolls with just the right touch off salt. The wedge salad followed. It was crisp, cold, and generously dressed, with smoky bacon and bright tomatoes adding all the right contrasts. The dry-aged steak was the star of the table, cooked perfectly with that deep, rich flavor only dry-aging can create. The roasted peppers and silky sauce on the side made every bite feel intentional. The octopus was another standout, tender, beautifully charred, and plated with a vibrant puree that balanced the dish with a touch of sweetness. One of the best plates we had. The table got more entrees since there were 8 of us but didn't get pictures. Sea brass was another favorite. Even the lobster soup arrived with flair: a velvety bowl paired with a seafood-topped toast that brought texture and richness together in one elegant bite. The beef tartare with fries was classic and fresh, refined without losing its fun. Dessert turned into a full performance. The liquid-nitrogen ice cream came with swirling clouds of cold vapor, dramatic and delicious. The birthday cake arrived crowned with berries and a sparkling candle that lit up the whole table. And just when we thought the night couldn't get any more whimsical, out came the towering blue cotton candy, playful, over-the-top, and impossible not to smile at. Harry's doesn't just serve dinner. It creates an experience, one where the service, the scenery, the atmosphere, and the food all work together to make you feel celebrated. Our night felt luxurious, thoughtful, and truly unforgettable for my husband's 50th birthday! Well done Harry's!

We came to Harry's a couple years back when we visited Cancun and I am celiac and I had a lovely dinner with my partner. On this visit, we were seated at a beautiful table and we ordered drinks. Our waiter, a bald headed young man 30s, refused to check with the kitchen to see if they could accommodate me. I am celiac not vegan. I was told there was nothing I could eat except steak and he proceeded to show us the entire steak selection. Truthfully I was feeling slightly unwell from not eating the entire day. I felt like fish, he said I can give you dry fish no sauce on top. He suggested maybe we just do appetizers. We had a 8 pm dinner reservation, what the hell would I want to order appetizers and call it day? This waiter was chit chatting with his maitre'd and other wait staff and I felt terribly uncomfortable that i was told I couldn't eat anything from the men, we we all know was ridiculous and not true. We finished our drinks and asked for the check. I made a reservation for Porfirios next door bc I could see they had some gluten free options. Harry's used to be accommodating but no longer. We will not come to Harry's again for food. Not only this, the waiter was trying to once again embarrass us by advising us that we could walk to Porfirios, next door to the restaurant from the back patio. We got up and began walking towards the patio and suddenly I realized he was totally making a fool of us, why would we go from the back if we have to check in with the hostess stand in the front of the restaurant? We walked straight out of Harry's from front door. Never again. So disrespectful and such a rude experience. Not only this, Harry's canceled/ removed our open table reservation (even though we fulfilled it and paid for our drinks and still tipped generously), so I cannot even leave a review and send a private message to the restaurant. Pathetic customer service.
