What struck me first was the color coded sections, which I actually like because I'm picky. So I went to my preferred color choice and started combing the racks to see what they had to offer. Lots of jersey cotton designed into pretty, fitted tees and dresses. More modern selection of jackets and tights. They cross the line on some items, but they do call themselves "eccentric" so cowboy boots with plaid and fringe are A-Ok with them. They also experiment with animal prints (something that I've never gotten), and really colorful accessories (I mean, REALLY colorful stuff that might even make a gay man cringe). But overall, they displayed a nice selection of women's clothing that was eclectic and accessible to most. I also dug their jewelry section because it was a little different than most, focusing on chunky chains and big pendants. They didn't look cheap (well, they weren't cheap) but affordable and vintage looking.

The women's section featuring styles modeled after Paris Hilton and the guy's much more cool and metro. They even have a baby section, with onesie's from American Apparel and and Paul Frank. During my appointment Patty was also available to help critique my outfits in addition to Sandy. Both of these ladies helped pairing outfits plus suggesting some more colorful items. They recommended and brought full price and sale pieces I wouldn't normally gravitate towards and their choices were brilliant. The addition of the sale items added value to my new wardrobe. I returned another day to find a 30% sale on the sale items!! Got some deals that day as well!! The manager Nancy called to remind me about the Black Friday Sale and of course I returned, 30% and still 30% on sale items. Upon my final visit for my birthday month I had yet another stylish lady, Cindy assist me. I can't say enough about these ladies, their product knowledge, styling capabilities and overall excellent customer service. From the street it doesn't look that large but it's huge inside. So much packed in this store. I always love coming here because it's the kind of store that makes you feel special. There is a personalized touch to this store and they get to know you by name. The only drawback is the parking situation and it's not Weavers fault. Parking in downtown Lawrence should be an Olympic event. However, to get the reward of going to Weavers, you gotta brave the parking downtown. The prices are very reasonable and the merchandise is very contemporary. There's something for everyone at Weavers.
