This morning I was in need of both, breakfast and lunch. For breakfast, I was tempted to get one of the donuts which are always flavorful and fresh. They had a glazed donut with pink icing and sprinkles, but I stayed strong and went with a Blueberry Muffin, instead. The muffin had good flavor, but was on the dry side. Made wish I had grabbed a small bottle of milk, too. For lunch, I grabbed a Cheesewich from the deli case. It's a low-carb treat with, a slice of Hard Salami pressed between two slices of Colby Jack Cheese. To accompany it, I got a small bag of Fritos, my favorite salty snack. I couldn't go totally low-carb. The staff is friendly and I always like looking at the years of service on their name badges. There's a lot of long term workers. When checking out, I always make sure to get a quick pick Powerball ticket. Keeping my fingers crossed that I win someday.

It's not a credit card, it's a card that you connect to your debit card. Then with a tap or swipe of the card they send you, you save 10¢ per gallon. The inside convenience mart is convenient. It's got all the goodies you'd want for road trips or a daily snack. They've even got the lottery and scratcher tickets for those you like to take a chance. If you need more excitement, they've got a slots room, too. Simply said, Motormart is my go to gas station.

There were two employees helping with some sort of paperwork, maybe lottery. The waiting seemed forever. Finally the other line cleared and a guy came in to pay for his gas. I went in line behind him. As soon as the guy paid for his gas, the cashier closed his register. I put down my drink and walked out. I was pissed. I'm not ever doing business there again. That was rude and unacceptable. I'll go to Casey's or somewhere. Never that Motomart.

Does size really matter? When it comes to moving trucks, the answer is yes…read more I recently was moving from STL to Godfrey and need a medium sized truck to move my larger furniture items. All of my boxed and smaller accent items had already been moved. To be pro-active I stopped by here to make a reservation for the truck size I needed. Before going in, I looked over a couple of trucks that were in the parking lot and I knew which one was best for me. When speaking with the young lady, I told her which one I needed in the lot and pointed to it out the door. I now realize that would be like going to a car dealership and a telling the sales professional, I'll take that one as you point out to the salesroom floor. There's a lot of grey area there and opportunities for misunderstandings. I don't fault her, she asked all the right questions. She asked if I was moving appliances and I said, no. She asked how many rooms and I told her what I had left to move was about a one bedroom apartment. She agreed, the size I selected would work. When I showed up with my cousins on the day of the move, the truck they pulled up front for me was not the size I imagined, It was much smaller. I told the young man who was assisting me that morning, that I need a much bigger one and again pointed to the one I wanted on the lot. Lucky for me, he had one available and easily made the switch. My cousins and I got the move done in record time and we're all over the age of 60. So I was surprised that I received a price adjustment on my rental by returning the truck earlier then anticipated. I was impressed that all the necessary paperwork was mostly done electronically. Which was nice, since I was doing this during the pandemic. I also bought a variety boxes in different sizes, while I prepped for this move and each time I visited I was impressed by the friendly customer service. They also took COVID precautions seriously by having tape markings on the floor to encourage social distancing and staff wearing mask. If you need a rental truck, moving supplies or a storage space in the Riverbend area, I highly recommend this place. When: October 23, 2020 Why: Fleeing the big city to small town life.
