The bed was comfortable and the sheets were clean. Window shades broken, smoke alarm missing, light covers missing, non functional ice machine and the pool wasn't usable due to debris and algae. The lady who checked us in was friendly and helpful but she left the property around 5pm and left other guests keys taped to the office window and a sign saying to call a phone number in case of an emergency. We left at 8:45 am and no one was in the office.

The cabin had toiletries, plenty of towels, trash bags, cookware, etc. The owners were responsive when contacted. The only thing some people might or might not like is the location. It's within easy walking distance of a few shops and restaurants, and the road is paved until you turn into the cabin driveway. That was a postive for us. But some people might not like the fact that there was the sound of cars driving by, and in the evenings there was live music at a bar that could be heard from our cabin. We didn't mind it but some might. A few years ago we stayed at a different cabin (Oh, Dear), which was much quieter but was down an unacceptably rough, unpaved road with large holes in it. We were happy to trade easier access and no worries about damaging our car for a bit less quiet. And to be fair, maybe they've fixed the other road by now, I don't know. We didn't want to risk it.

We went to the beautiful Steinmore. This cabin is very impressive and has plenty of space for everyone. The rooms are decorated nicely, and all the amenities were thought of. My biggest letdown was the beds in the 2 master rooms downstairs. The beds are not of the highest quality and do not have box springs. The beds sit VERY low for the group and make it very difficult to get in and out of. I am 6ft, 230 lbs., and felt like I was sinking into the bed and rolling back toward the headboard. My daughter and her husband slept in the master closet to the kitchen, and they too did not sleep well. The mattresses were not the issue, it was the fact that the mattresses are sitting on planks. Other things that were bothersome are small details and have to do with expectations. * Dusty blinds * Smears on walls * Trashcan was not empty upon arrival * The walls behind the trashcans were dirty * The trash bin drawer was filthy around the lip of the can * Comforters and throw pillows in bedrooms were stained * Only two trash bags were left for a family of 15 for the whole weekend * Christmas plates and décor on the table were dusty- Probably pulled from the storage and set right onto the table * Glasses were greasy and many needed to be rewashed before using These are all small details that will make this cabin more awesome than it was. When you pay almost $3k for a weekend you would expect perfection.

We also discovered a dead roach underneath the router in the bedroom. While the overall comfort level was cozy, we called as soon as we arrived and asked if we could be switched to a different cabin. We were basically told by the owner that we had to get over it and that it was on us and that there were no refunds available. Also, we were explicitly told by them to keep the noise down, but we could hear loud, cackling, and belligerent neighbors all around us the two nights we stayed there. I was willing to let all of this go as we did not stay in the cabin for a majority of the time we were in Broken Bow, but I found out today that there were roaches in our luggage as well as the trunk in my car. I had to get my car BOMBED as well as call an exterminator to come to my apartment. Meanwhile, we paid this company money for them to lie to us as well as send us back with an infestation. Though Broken Bow was a great idea, we will not be returning to Beaver's Bend Lodging ever again as the overall experience was low brow and traumatic.

The cabins range from small (2 people) to large (12 people), and are scattered among the trees in the foothills of the Ouachita Mountains. Friendly Pines is just off the highway, but with the trees, you can't hear or see it. You cannot get much closer to Beaver's Bend State Park (without actually staying in the park). A short drive down a gravel trail, turn right and drive about 500 meters, then turn into the park and the marina and beach are right in front of you. Friendly Pines is also within a half-mile of Abendigo's (good food), Greatful Head (pizza and beer), and Girls Gone Wine (winery, obvioulsy), so there's plenty to do if you get cabin feaver.

The bed was extremely uncomfortable, made noise every time you moved, and the bedding was stained. We slept fully clothed in long pants and shirts to limit our exposure to the bedding. I seriously would have rather slept in my car but my husband did not think the area was very safe enough to do that and we got in very late, not knowing where else we could stay. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!…read more Came to broken bow with my daughter for spring break, rented this "cabin" Sugar Haus. To start with I received so many emails from the management company. One ten minutes after booking saying it was cancelled because they needed documents. I called the company and poor girl on phone said they were overwhelmed and they had been asking management company to make changes, everyone is complaining. So, got her everything she needed. There were not clear directions to place. For there and code would not work for the door. Called and it took several times to connect with someone. Waited for 30 minutes for someone to come and open door. While I was waiting I notice bird poop on door. Dirty exterior, missing cushions. Lots of wasps and a band aids in the hot tub. Once I'm inside, there are hairs on the bed, floor, counters, tub everything is dirty! Took several calls and management company sent someone out. This lady reeked of some type of drug and was really rude. Tried to tell me that it was clean. Was very combative, and did not clean, just left. I'm sitting on the porch waiting for a resolution, keep trying the management company and up com, a security guy saying that the management company wanted to kick me out! It was a terrible day, and I could not believe they would be as unprofessional as they were. They claim that they are luxury cabins with the luxury experience, there was nothing luxury about it! I stay at Airbnb all the time, and I will absolutely never stay at this place again. Worst customer service I've EVER experienced.

Since there isn't much information, I'll say: there are 8 cabins and they are down an 8-mile long road (Game Preserve Road/Sherman Road) from a point that is about 12 miles north of the state parks. There is a swimming pool, and there is a boat ramp very close by. The "lakefront" is a stretch. You can walk down a trail (gets very steep at the end) to the cove of the lake.
