My wife and I stayed for a week in the king bed suite. Very nice clean room. The bed was comfortable as well as the couch. The continental breakfast was fair nothing special with box orange juice and milk. The view over the lake is nice and you get to see deer in the evening and mornings right outside your room. This is not fancy resort but still a nice facility. There are few flaws that I would change but I can get critical from working in construction. read more

Like a lot of others it appears.....we found this place from Groupon. Otherwise would have never found it. Glad we did. It's slightly older but the staff, the views and quiet place by far made up for it. The staff is super friendly which is so different from most hotels now. We had a second floor view which is amazing. Room was nice and no it's not 5 star but really pretty nice for the price. They even have wifi in the big common area. Worth checking out. read more

I stayed at Lakeview Lodge in November 2017, here are the pros and cons: PROS: -The staff was excellent, truly very good customer service. -The view was AMAZING, and being able to have my own balcony to enjoy the view and scenery was exactly the reason why I booked this lodge. -The room includes a flat-screen TV, dressers, mini fridge, microwave, hair dryer, and robes. -Great location, right on the water and there are hiking trails. CONS: -The pillows are the worst pillows I have ever had, I woke up in the middle of the night with a horrible neck-ache. The pillows are as hard as a rock. My boyfriend chose to sleep without one, they were that bad. Easy enough fix, bring your own pillows ;-) -The free breakfast was lacking. It consisted of cereal, instant oatmeal packets, coffee, tiny juice cartons, milk, packaged muffins, and biscuit sausage sandwiches that you have to microwave. Overall, I would definitely stay here again. read more

This a small, older but comfortable resort. The reason I give it 5 stars was because of the amazing view and the customer service. The beds are comfortable enough and they include a frig and microwave. An adequate continental breakfast is also included. Be prepared because there is no Wi-fi in the rooms. This is all about being next to nature so bring comfortable shoes to go strolling and a book that you have been meaning to read for a long time. read more

I would stay here again. It is an older place, and it's not the nicest place that I've stayed but what sells this place is the location and the view! Great for families. Playgrounds, deer, community room, access to the lake, hiking and biking trails. No onsite restaurant, they do offer breakfast but it is packaged pastries and cereal. Man would it make this place if they offered a hot breakfast! Then it probably would be five stars in my book. If your just wanting luxury rooms, this is not the place for you, but if you want a clean place to sleep while you do outdoors stuff with your family, then this place is perfect. read more

My husband and I decided to stay here for a small weekend getaway trip for our anniversary/new years using a deal we found on Groupon. I love the location of the lodge. It's right on the water and the view from our balcony was beautiful. As for the rooms, we found them to be very clean. The bed was firm, but not uncomfortable. I think that boils down to personal preference though. The only real downsides of this place is the outside needs a little tlc. It doesn't look broken down by any means, but definitely could use some love. The breakfast offered really wasn't much of anything. Small microwave sandwiches, cereal, bear claws, juice and milk. So if your looking for a good hearty breakfast, gotta head to town for that. And lastly I really disliked that there wasn't atleast WiFi in the rooms, and with no cell service it sucked. I wanted to get away for the weekend; not be out of touch with my children for the whole weekend. But I was able to go to the main lobby and use WiFi to call and check in on them from there. Overall though it was a relaxing little trip and we are looking forward to bringing our boys here for a little camping. read more

Found a Groupon to stay here and we had a great time! The ladies at the front desk were nice and friendly. They upgraded us to a suite because our patio view room was needed for construction workers. We would have been satisfied with the original room but the suite upgrade was lovely. We had a living room area with two chairs and a couch. Our one year old had room to run and play inside. The views from the balcony were stunning. The location couldn't be better it's close to everything. The continental breakfast is free and for free it was great. They had cereal, pastries, oatmeal, sausage biscuits,croissants, milk, coffee, and juice. There were also ice and vending machines. Deer visited during our stay which was a nice bonus. The walls are thin and we could hear our upstairs neighbors but it wasn't horrible. Overall we had a fantastic stay at the lodge. read more

Great lakefront location. It's so peaceful and serene here. Deer visits every time right outside your balcony. It's an old hotel that needs major upgrade. The staff at the front desk were very nice. Our room although it's old is very clean and the bathroom as well. Kudos to the housekeeping! They have a great room with balcony in the lobby area that has continental breakfast in the morning. Nothing to rave about just boxed cereals and pastries oatmeal packets coffee milk juice. Given that it's far from the restaurants and shops in the main highway, wish this hotel has a bar and restaurant in the property. Hope they renovate soon and upgrade cuz will definitely come back. For now it's good for quick getaway. read more

The view was phenomenal! We were there recently (end of March) and it was beautiful! Deer come up to the back areas in the evening, so have some corn or something to throw to them. Let's talk about the room. Ugh. Well, first off we wanted a king but none were available, so we got two queens. Okay, no big deal. The room is decorated cabin-y; it's cute! The mini fridge and microwave are hidden in what looks like a wooden dresser. Cute! We had a sliding glass door on the back that led to our balcony. That was very nice, but the door was really hard to open & close. We put our suitcase down & plopped on the beds. Wrong move! The beds - both! - were super hard!! We didn't sleep much all weekend because we were so uncomfortable. And the walls! Omg, we could hear the conversations the people on both sides of us were having. THAT was annoying. The neighbors above could be heard walking around at all hours, too. The walls were also dirty. It looked like someone had tried to throw something away & missed. Gross. The shower was adequate once I got the spray out of my face. The view from our balcony was the only saving grace to this trip. The free "continental breakfast" was cereal, orange juice, coffee, milk, muffins (Otis Spunkmeyer), some packaged danish, and a few microwave sausage biscuits. read more

October 14-16, 2016 my dad and I came here for a Father/ Daughter weekend getaway. It so exceeded our expectations. The rooms we got were side by side very clean and very cute with a mini fridge and a microwave. The shower was nice. The view was very nice and there is a big herd of dear that come up every evening. You will see kids and adults alike out there feeding them. They get pretty close. The staff is very friendly. I would have to say that the only drawback to this place is there Breakfast, it is cereal, muffins, and sausage biscuits prepackaged and just pop in the microwave. Even La Quinta's serve eggs and some fruit and other things. However this being said there are two restaurants that serve a great yet inexpensive breakfast. Steven Gap is one and is very yummy. There are plenty for the kids to do, they have a playground and hiking trails. I will definitely be back. The other thing I would say is maybe offering some wine and snacks in the afternoon and sofa for the kids. I enjoyed visiting with people on the balcony. If it had not been for Groupons I would never have thought of booking a stay at Lakeview Lodge. I was thinking of booking cabins but the deal was too good to pass up. One night stay with breakfast for $55. You pay for the taxes when you get there. So taxes are about $3/night. It couldn't be beat. I purchased two nights and did not regret it. I agree with Tim in that the beds were soft and comfy with clean rooms and great view of the lake. The breakfasts were not your traditional continental breakfast. They not only served cereal and milk but also had a variety of yogurt, croissant sandwiches, biscuit sandwiches, and pastries such as muffins, cinnamon rolls and danishes. They also had coffee, tea and juices. There is no refrigerator or microwave in any of the rooms but coffee was provided in the rooms. However, I did not see any coffee filters in any of the rooms if I wanted to make my own coffee. Our group got three rooms and none of them had co fee filters. The lake itself is absolutely beautiful and we went during spring where we were able to canoe, fish and BBQ. The water is still a cold in the spring time but it is just gorgeous. It is a little hard to find the lodge. Our group got lost trying to find the place in the dark. So make sure you enter through Stephens Gap entrance which is the second entrance from the highway. We entered through the first entrance and drove around for a bit. The entrance to the lodge is about four miles after the highway entrance and you will see the big sign for the lodge. read more

We got an awesome deal on this place through Groupon. We visited in early spring. The Lodge is fine, good service, clean rooms, awesome view of the lake. There is lots to do on the lake and in the area. Shopping, fishing, hiking, dining, boating.The rooms have pretty thin walls, so keep it down. Beds are soft and comfy. Deer come around at sunset and expect to be fed, so bring some corn for them. This would be a great place to bring the family, something for everyone. read more

I called to make a reservation for 2 rooms and was shocked that my son, with PTSD, could not bring his service animal (a registered dog) to the Lodge. The employee I spoke with was very condescending calling me honey and sweetie (I'm in my 40's and we're perfect strangers). You can have a duck on an airplane for comfort but this STATE PARK affiliated establishment won't accept a registered service dog. Very disappointing. read more

We have stayed here several times and it seems to get worse with every stay. The air conditioner from the room above us was leaking and every time we left the room and came back it would drip on our head. I let the front desk know but they really didn't care. The rooms need to be sprayed for bugs in a major way I let them know about what we found but they weren't concerned about that either! We won't be back. read more

We stayed here this past weekend because we weren't able to find a cabin to rent. The view from the balcony is great as is its location to everything we want from Beavers Bend, Hochatown and Broken Bow. That said, the hotel is in need of quite a lot of maintenance. We had to ask for and put up a shower curtain. Harry Houdini might find opening the sliding doors to get in and out of the balcony but it was a challenge for us. One glance at the "continental breakfast" led us to go into town for breakfast. There is no wifi in the rooms. The service is what you would expect from a typical state employee. For the price we paid for the room, I expected much more. read more

Will not stay or spend our hard earned money here again! We had a horrible stay over spring break. Staff was put out when we asked for extra towels, could not tell us anything about their hiking trail, cleaner used in mini fridge permeated our food and made it taste like chemicals and burned our tongues. We ended up throwing all our food away and having to buy more. When the staff was asked about it, I was told that in four years of working there this has never been a problem and that they didn't know what was used to clean the mini refrigerator. The rooms were clean! The view and balcony off our room was beautiful! The beds were comfortable but horrible foam pillows. I usually travel with my pillow but didn't have it with me this time...I'm a feather pillow gal! They provide robes but there is only two to a room and there was four us, which by the way you have to pay extra for the two additional guests. The continental breakfast was nothing to write home about...there was coffee,milk,juice,yogurt, cold cereal and oatmeal served in styrofoam. The surrounding grounds are lovely but the nice lodge exterior could use a dusting and sweeping due to cobwebs on light fixtures and dead bugs and dirt on stair wells. I will definitely stay again, bring my own pillow and have a hot breakfast in town. read more

I read the other reviews, and agree that it was a great place to stay when you want a lake view. It is winter now, so don't have any tree leaves to block the view. We literally watched the sunrise over the lake from our beds. I guess due to the rural setting, we had very little data services for our phones. In our case, we visited the office/guest which did have an open wifi. Everything was nice and clean. We will be back in the spring. In winter, there is nothing to do if you are not going fishing. or sight see. read more

By far this one the worst lodging stays I've had. Upon entering the room there is an overpowering smell of urine and funk that they have tried to cover up with carpet deodorizer. The smell permeates all of your clothes and luggage. The continental breakfast consisted of coffee out of a jug into styrofoam cups, oatmeal packets, cold cereal, and pastries. The food was limited and the coffee was horrible. The Lakeview is actually a partial Lakeview that's blocked by several large trees. Can't wait to check out and never come back. Beavers Bend is great. The lodge is pretty primitive. It should be called Treeview Lodge since only a few rooms have an unobstructed view of the lake. It is far from modern: tube-type TV, old fashioned heating/cooling system with a fan that is always on, no WI-FI, and a very sparse "breakfast." Just think that the State of Oklahoma could do a little better. read more

We booked a 3 night stay at Lakeview Lodge midweek. We requested a patio room on the ground floor and received room #52...just perfect for our needs. The room was large with rustic furnishings, 2 queen beds, microwave, mini fridge and a small but functional bath. Although the room is older, it was immaculate and cleaned daily. The A/C worked well but was rather noisy. All the rooms are either balcony or patio with a lovely view of the lake. There is no WIFI and phone service is iffy. The stay included breakfast of cold and hot cereals, microwavable sausage biscuits and ham & cheese croissants, yogurt, coffee and juices. It is laid out in the great room of the main lodge with plenty of tables, an outdoor balcony again with a beautiful view of Broken Bow Lake. Every morning we were visited by a small herd of deer and playful squirrels right outside our door that practically eat out of your hand. The lodge has a boat ramp directly in front that is convenient for water craft launching and we utilized it daily. Although there are no boat slips, we were comfortable leaving our pontoon boat tied to a tree along the shoreline overnight. It is located in a quiet cove, but the rocky shore is not ideal for a regular water craft and footwear is a must. The lodge is located in a very secluded area and about a 3 mile drive from numerous restaurants, bars and convenience stores. There are walking trails on property but truthfully not much else as far as amenities or activities. We were glad we had our boat to explore the beautiful lake but because it is national forestry land, there are no houses or businesses except the small marina. Lakeview Lodge is a nice place for a quiet retreat and highly recommended, just be aware that it is pretty isolated. read more

Groupon special sooooo worth it we had a blast!! The room is just average but it's the view of the lake that makes up for it it was absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!! The people running the place were friendly but not overbearing. We went on the weekend and it was busy with alot of family's we didn't mind but if you are wanting a romantic getaway I would recommend staying here during the week and getting a room on one of the top floors. We had a room on the bottom and loved it because our kids could just run out to play. We brought food for the deer but they don't come out till 10:30 at night when the lodge is real busy. We watched them eat through our window. They have an awesome hiking trail right next to the playground and you have your choice of two different trails we did the short one and it took an hour and a half. The hills are filled with quartz and we found some with chunks of crystals in it and the are now residing in my flower bed! The lake is within walking distance and you can swim or boat they have a place to put your boat in. Wonderful time I would defiantly stay there again for a weekend trip!! Continental breakfast was included but its nothing special. read more
