Similar experience as others posted. They initially take your details over the phone and want to shake you down for $475 up front for a 1hr consultation which you can knock down to $350! After the 1hr consultation with a lady lawyer who was not prepared at all and called 10 mins late, she then made some general suggestions, she said to follow up with her in an email which I did about some Arbitration details and since then she has ghosted me! I highly recommend Julian Wolfson at HKM. If you have a potentially solid case against a large corporation, they're probably one of the best firms on the planet to work with. I ended up only needing a 1-hour consultation, and the fee was entirely worth it. I've led negotiation teams for multi-million dollar contracts, between billion dollar companies, and I'm very familiar with the caliber of attorney these companies hire. In my situation, I spoke with 3 attorneys (2 of whom I paid) and Julian was far and away the best fit to go up against a multinational corporation. Nice balance of professional and intelligent, and a good listener who I felt truly understood me. It did take a week or so of working with a paralegal (Ciara, who was also great) before talking with Julian. It seemed like they wanted to get a sense of whether my case had merit, and what it would be like to work with me as a client. Completed their online form for an initial consultation and received an e-mail scheduling an initial assessment (with a legal assistant or admin I believe). They called that week to gather facts and asked me questions for about 10 minutes before trying to collect a $300 payment immediately for the follow-up call from a lawyer for the consultation. I was hesitant and clarified I wasn't interested in just their legal advice (which they advertise for $475/hour on their website) and that I actually wanted to take steps towards a lawsuit with their office. The woman assured me this was the fee just to speak with a lawyer to continue the lawsuit process so I paid and scheduled an appointment with one of their actual lawyers. The lawyer was actually very informative and answered all of my questions, but after 45 minutes she said she needed to confer with the rest of the legal team before taking my case. I heard back the next week that they would NOT be taking my case. SO 3 stars because yes, when I actually got to speak to a lawyer she was very informative and the first assistant was also very professional and courteous, BUT I don't feel the information was worth $300 and it's just a way for them to string you along. read more

They have a poor case evaluation follow up. I called and the person took my general information. Someone then called 1.5 days later took statements and then told me an attorney would review and get back to me. It took 2 days and I called back to see why I had not heard from the attorney yet. They took my name and number. In the mean time, I checked my email and realized they emailed me with a standard response that they could not take my case. No explanation. I would like to give a shout out to The Law Office of Ralph Lamar who I contacted this morning for a second opinion. He called me back personally within the hour and explained why my case would fall under the "At Will" worker. He explained the steps/causes documented to make the case worthy of pursuing. I definitely would contact Law Office of Ralph Lamar again because of his empathy and follow up. read more

Something is fishy here. I called to ask a couple of questions and the lady sets me up an appointment for someone to call me and gather more information in a 15 minute "consultation". The woman calls (a number from Hawaii) and rushes through several questions in a 3 minute call. It seemed like a call center type situation. She then emails a link to schedule an initial appointment with an attorney. Which you are directed to pay for before you even know what attorney you'll be talking to. So pay $475 now for the first hour consultation. They do say if you're not satisfied they'll refund you but somehow I'm betting that has a lot of catches. I know attorneys are expensive, that's not the problem. I should be able to call their office, ask a couple of basic questions, and schedule an appointment with an attorney without jumping through several hoops. read more

They made sure I was satisfied, and were willing to fight for me if I was not. They were professional, and walked me through everything.
