The original contractor had left horrible nail holes in the siding, other nails were sticking out, other nails still had pieces of plastic from the nail gun stuck beneath them, and the original painter had just painted over it all without fixing anything or considering how terrible it looked. There were gaps between planks that they had just slathered caulk on without sanding it. Planks had been cut with a not-sharp saw so the edges were rough. After only 3 years several planks were already coming off the walls. Kevin and Steve filled and sanded and smoothed and caulked and painted. They took a lot of care repainting my house and they did it for a very fair price. I'm so thankful that I found them! I'm no longer ashamed of the outside of my house.

HAPPY with the paint job, but did NOT do a Yelp Review. So 4/19/2021, I decided to use them again. Same paint instructions as above. I asked for the business card cuz I losted the card. I then I realized "wow" the owners came out to do this "small" job. The Son, Cesar and the Father Jaime. I watched Jaime proceed with his "old school craft", He "blue tape" all the windows before applying white sealant, let dry and then razor cut the excess. Cesar also applied "old school craft" he applied the 1st coat of of painted and waited 30 minutes to Dry and then applied the 2nd coat of of paint. I had previous issue of other painter. 1st coat painted and return coat to smooth the paint was considered 2nd coat. I was so IMPRESSED with the Excellent 'old school craftsmanship", I asked Owners for an estimate to do my Clear Heart Redwood Deck (previous painted in 2014) which will take 5 days (Sanding and 2 Coats of Deck Paint (supplied by me). They really helped us to choose an effective 3 color combination, which is a bit unusual but works great. They also advised on the paint quality and finish, which is expertise we just didn't have. They were particularly good about prepping the house and spent lots of time caulking and sanding rough spots. They are both expert painters with a good eye for detail and ensured a nice finish all over the house. I was getting new stairs installed at the back of the house and Mark promised to come back and touch up the paintwork after the stairs had been fitted, which he did true to his word. Personally, they are both very nice guys and really worked hard to make the job measured up to our expectations. Lastly, I did my homework on cost and they were very reasonable compared to others who quoted me for the job. I don't roll out the 5 stars too often quite honestly, but MLD Painting is wholly deserving of such a high rating. I recommend them highly for any paint jobs you may have.

We have a Mediterranean style home with most of the original wood framed windows from 1942, and they repaired the cracks and even replaced some of the wood as part of the repair. The level of detail work they did was exceptional and they take more steps in prepping than other painters would. Our window and door frames look new! Dan Sullivan was hired to paint all the walls in my home of 2600 square feet. The vast majority of…read morethe walls were re-plastered to remove texture. The work Dan and his crew did was terrible and nothing less than an unmitigated disaster for us. Instead of priming (to seal) the raw plaster as just about will tell you must be done, they painted right over it, claiming to use a special paint that obviated the need for primer. Well, this was not the case and now the paint in my home is coming off in sheets, revealing the paster underneath. I contacted Dan asking for a refund as this will require well north of 20K to repair, to no avail. Look at the pictures yourself to see what we are dealing with. I strongly advise avoiding this business at all costs. For my part. I am now pursuing resolution via complaints to the BBB State License board, and his bond company.

This painting crew is friendly and quick at their work but I am not satisfied with the job that was…read moredone. Unfortunately, I 'm not good with confrontation so I found it difficult to point out problems I had with the paint job. The job was reputtying and painting some window frames. It looks like, for the most part, no putty knives were used and old chunks of putty were left on the frame making the putty uneven and blotchy and blobby. Some frames had smooth, even putty which makes the bumpy putty more noticeable. I don't think any masking tape was used when painting since there is paint on the windows - a ragged line of paint, not wide, at the edge of the frames. I'm currently in the process of scraping this off which, considering the state of the putty, is slow going. I would not recommend hiring this company for your painting needs.
