This restaurant has degraded significantly. I've had 2 bad experiences back to back. I won't be supporting them no time soon. Customer service was horrible and the quality of food was even worse. This use to be my favorite restaurant. I usually order the egg foo Yung and house special rice but the last 2 times it has been horrible.

The St. Paul Sandwich -- basically an Egg Fo Young Pattie on a hamburger bun. Unusual, tasty, and filling!

I am giving this a 4-star rating for uniqueness, as you will see below. We were driving west with three dogs in the car. Decided to stop in Forrest City for the night and found a motel that would accept us and our pack. Since it was too hot to leave the dogs in the car, and inconsiderate to others to leave them in the room, we had no choice but to have dinner in our room. A little research brought Ho Ho Chinese to our attention. A little more research showed they had an unusual dish, a St. Paul sandwich, and another, Potatoes and Beef. We couldn't resist. Turns out that take-out counter was rather chaotic. But only moderate patience was necessary to survive the bumbles. After the moderate delay, I emerged with some wonderful smelling food and hurried back to the room. The St. Paul Sandwich is an Egg Foo Young patty on a hamburger bun, with sandwich toppings such as lettuce, tomato, etc.. According to Wikipedia (yes, that Wiki, you can look it up), the St. Paul Sandwich is a regional specialty in St. Louis. Lucky for us it found its way to Arkansas. The patty was moist and tender with crisp edges. The bun was soft and fit the patty well. The combination was tasty, delightful, and totally unusual in most Chinese American restaurants. The Potatoes and Beef with, as the name implies, mostly potatoes with a generous amount of beef. It was covered in a rich beef gravy that didn't seem particularly Asian, but it was tasty, filling, and different. We really enjoyed our meal and were delighted to find an unusual. I strongly suggest you stop by and try a St. Paul Sandwich. You can't just find them everywhere.

Chicken chow mien and chicken on a stick. You have got to try the chicken on a stick!!

Food was good. I can see that this was a popular restaurant in the past when the elderly owners were running it.

3 stars? 4 stars? Somewhere between I guess. BLUF - good food with terrible order taking system…read moreand terrible timing. Food is pretty good but the timing of the kitchen is so bad it's laughable. Everything is pick up, there are tables and chairs inside but I've never once seen anyone eat it it's always to go and the tables and chairs are for hanging out as you wait.... and wait.... and wait.... for the order you called to place some time ago. The "system" in place is archaic - just orders scribbled on random scribbled pieces of paper which I'm sure leads to missing items if you aren't diligent about specifying what you are there to pick up and what is in your order. Most recent visit I was told it'd be 40-45 minutes. Turned out to be more like 80 minutes, 40 of which were spent sitting in one of the aforementioned chairs at one of the aforementioned tables with a bunch of other people waiting for their orders. Small snarky side note - I was the only person waiting reading an actual honest to God real paper book - everyone else was on their phone watching Tik Tok or Instagram or some other crap. Anyway rant over - good food for sure but the time it takes to be made is crazy and I don't know if you can ever trust it at all.

I think I would have given them a 3.5 stars if you could give half stars. Monday-Friday they have a lunch buffet for adults from 11 am-3:30 pm for $14.70! This seems to be the cheapest price, but can also come on other days and times (photo attached with updated prices). You can also get a takeout box which they weigh to see how much it would cost you. We immediately got a seat and were able to get our food no problem! The restaurant was very busy and people really seemed to be enjoying coming. They do have a "wall of shame" when you first come in with people that have left the restaurant without paying for their food. I have never seen this before and find it interesting they screenshot their security cameras and print off photos of people to put on the wall! I hate they have had so many people leave without paying...just wanted to mention it since it was a shock to me the first time! The restrooms are very dark and not super clean. The water does get hot though! Overall the food was really good! The sushi wasn't super fresh tasting but other than that liked the other food.

Twice we challenged him on our total because it seemed high. When we got our phone to do the math, he immediately lowered it by 10%. On the receipt during our last visit, he first said it was $53.74. After the challenge, he lowered it to $49.22. The receipt read total of $53.74 if tip of $4.52 offered. This has happened twice, that we know of. Be careful when you order take-out. We should be allowed to see the weight of the food. Deceptive business practices seem to be occuring here. That 10% tip could greatly add up. Who leaves a tip for take-out?

We also really liked the decor inside the restaurant, but this time we actually dined on the patio, which made for a nice change of pace So we ordered the wings, and they absolutely delicious --we liked them so much we ordered a second round. The crawfish dumplings were also solid, but the wings were the standout of the meal. We also tried the Bake MF Margarita, which I expected to taste like tea, but it's actually a refreshing peach-flavored margarita. At about $22, it's generously sized for two people and definitely worth trying. Our server, Mason, was very nice and made great selections for us. Overall, I'm giving Good Fortune Company (4/5). The only reason it wasn't a perfect score was the missing Slap Noodles. Even so, I'd happily return and hope to try them next time. Next time im ordering Ramen!
