I have never had any problems at Hobby Lobby before today. It is actually my Favorite store to go to. I went there Friday, 5/22/2026, and my wife and I purchased about $ 85.00 worth of items. For myself, I like the t-shirts at your store. They are only $3.40. I bought four of them. The next morning, I put the green one on I bought. The tag was marked XL, my size, I couldn't get it on. After looking at it, it seemed to be a medium, but, it was marked as an XL. I went back to Hobby Lobby that morning to return it for a XL. I was greeted by a first and I explained it must have been marked wrong. The first lady I spoke to became accusatory and made an allegation that I washed it and am now trying to return it. I tried to explain to her I buy these t-shirt all the time and even if it was washed, they do not shrink this small. the other lady who was there at this time said just go and get another one. This was the response I was expecting to receive. However the first lady was still jumping to the conclusion that I was trying something illegal to get or change a $3.40 t-shirt. she insisted the second lady call for the manager. The manager immediately told me to just exchange the t-shirt for another one. It probably cost me more in gas. I am giving 5 stars for the second lady and the manager for helping me and not accusing me of something illegal. I give the first lady 0 stars because all she did was jump to a conclusion I was a thief and for refusing to hear anything I had to say. Thank you to the second lady and the Manager. They have a variety of decorations and lots of things for any protect you might want to do. We were looking for some fall decorations. One of my favorite seasons. Their prices were 40% off on most of the fall season decorations. The store is huge so if you have time I recommend to see everything they have. You could come up with a lot of ideas for new projects. I love this store. Once we had our items picked we went to the cashier. It was pretty fast. It was a very good visit. Today I was shopping at the Clovis Hobby Lobby and saw a cute Christmas tree on a high shelf. I asked the lady (Asian) who was working that section with a ladder if she would get one down for me. It was obvious I bothered her and she took her time before getting it for me. She grabbed it in a hurry and without looking at me just put her arm back to hurriedly hand it to me, dropping white fake snow from the tree and shelf on me. I think she realized her attitude because when I said thank you and I'm sorry I bothered you, she said in a fake kind voice oh no problem. She made me feel like I was a problem. I will say the cashier was very kind. The floor worker needs to take customer service lessons from her co worker. read more

I would just like to say, I've been coming here for YEARS! But I had to stop returning because I just feel so bad. The workers look absolutely overworked and are spoken to like trash. Not even trash, like scraps from the dumpster. I've seen managers get frustrated and absolutely rip their employees in front of customers. I've seen managers get into arguments with customers. I mean it's repulsive. It's sad to just stand there and watch. The blonde manager I believe the customer service manager, and the brown haired Asian one. I mean just absolutely rude and combative. I once asked one of the cashiers if this is normal and they said "only with those two". How disgusting to treat your employees and customers that way. There needs to be a FULL on investigation in that place ABSOLUTELY. I heard that they can hardly keep employees because of management and it shows. I feel so sorry for some of these people, some look SO YOUNG and to be entered in a workplace where they are treated like peasants. Seeing managers argue over prices with customers I mean cmon. There's ways to talk to your customers without being hostile or passive aggressive. If you're tired of your job go get a new one! Everyone is trying to pay their bills just like you and to belittle someone over something so small. Just awful. Hobby Lobby please do better. It wasn't just one visit that I've seen this, almost every visit over the past few years has become just sad to go inside and bear witness to these situations. Whether I go in for beads, flowers, or paper crafting supplies I am very rarely disappointed. I order more from Hobby Lobby online because there are always great prices and shipping is pretty quick. I go into the store to look at the seasonal items and to look for home decor. I like that there is always plenty of parking and the shopping baskets are still being sanitized by store personnel. (Many stores have stopped doing this) The shelves are always stocked well and the sale items plentiful. 4/5 stars because 85% of the time there is a wait at the checkout aisle. read more

I love coming here for projects or things for our house but not for their customer service. We are always redecorating our house especially with the different holidays or seasons. My daughter just start her soap making business so we have been back multiple times a month to pick up supplies. Sometimes things are in stock and sometimes things aren't. Staff are usually not helpful. They won't go out of their way to help look for what we need. They've pointed us to the wrong aisle for supplies we are looking for. They will usually state whatever they have out is what they have left and do not make an effort to look in the back or top shelf or the device to see how many items they have left. Staff at the cash registers are never friendly! Every time we have gone, it seems like they are in a bad mood or just plain rude. They recently stop providing their 40% off on their website and they don't allow competitors coupons. Sometimes they do have sales on some of the things in their store. Literally the worst customer service. Not only do they not hire enough employees so you regularly have to wait 45 minutes but the ones they do have, have to be on meth. What is the issue. Ring it up and move on. Stop doing the nod at the register. Just go to Michael's or Joanne. They know how to run a business. read more

Gotta love a clean, organized environment. That's exactly what Hobby Lobby provides. I came in here because I had a gift card and a need for more fabric, but usually I don't stop here-too dangerous! It's organized so well and there is "stuff" to look at everywhere. I think they do a great job organizing by type of item and color, so it's all very appealing!! Associates were all wearing masks and were very kind to discuss the project I was working on. I think the only interesting thing was the lady before me was being helped and the associate actually picked up her personal cell phone while she was cutting the fabric. That just seemed a tad unprofessional to me,but she promptly apologized and explained to the customer about caring for her mother. So, I guess not as bad, but I'm sure the store has their policies. I only shopped in the fabric area this time, great quality fabric available-in many colors, prints and styles! Even the 108" width. It's mostly organized by type of fabric, but I think there is still some crossover, so just be ready to look around. read more

The dude and I came to Hobby Lobby in Clovis on 7/23/20 as I wanted to get a Princess hammer as they had a bunch at the Hobby Lobby in Fresno. It was very clean inside and organized as we made our way through out the store. The staff was very friendly but not not helpful as they didn't know if they had any hammers. When I asked an an employee if they had any in stock she said no. However, when doing a thorough search the dude and I found them -_- The store opened about 2 weeks ago so I understand that employees are still getting familiar with the products they sale as they sell everything so I can see how they don't know what they have. However if my dude and I didn't put in the effort to search for the item they would have missed our on a sale! Anywho I LOVE Hobby Lobby they already have seasonal items up like Christmas decorations, fall decorations which for Christmas I felt it was too early to put those items up as Christmas is about 6 months away! But I guess it's never too early to plan a head. They have crafts, toys, games, paint, kitchen materials and anything you can imagine. They have really cute bedroom or house decorations that I know I can go broke over! Anywho I will be coming to this location to see if they have any giraffe decor as the Fresno location had a plethora of giraffe items but I didn't see much at the Clovis location. I kept seeing this place as I drove back and forth from San Francisco and vowed to come in on our way back to Fresno the last time we had a road trip. Never been here before. I see Hobby Lobby and I think all things hobby related but they have house decor items as well. Sweet. Browsed with my little one to peep the offerings and we had so much fun looking around. I'm big on paint-by-numbers, gardening, crocheting and puzzles; he's into extreme weather, video games, science and many other things. They literally had something for a lot of our interest. We walked out with a banana grow kit... I once did a mushroom grow kit and watched it grow each day till I cut it up and cooked the mushrooms, it was an awesome activity to do with my son. I'd love to do that again but with a different plant... this seemed perfect. My little one saw a bottle you can swirl to create a funnel that looks like a tornado... just water in a bottle, but hey... He's happy, so I'm happy, lol. There was no line when we checked out and the store was very clean, all good things. I need to sign up for their newsletter so I can see deals coming through. We both left vowing we'll come back in two weeks for new projects. read more

I've never once had a bad experience at hobby lobby yet tonight while last minute trying to get a birthday present I had a horrible one. a manager by the looks of it had seen us trying to pick out patches for a diy project, and proceeded to follow us around the store and later approved us with a basket saying we NEEDED to have one as our hands were full and when we declined the offer because we were only carrying a makeup bag and a water bottle, she proceeded to RIP the bag from my hands and said " we're going to use a basket ok" in a manner that was very demanding. I'm a very frequent customer and being made felt unwelcome and approached in a accusatory way makes me want to rethink the " Christian ran company" it is. read more

Not at all happy with the service with my recent visit to the store. Crystal seemed so much in a rush when there was one customer after me with a return of just one item!!! Had my son in wheelchair and did not even offer to help me put my huge plastic bags in the cart or ask if I needed help taking things to the car! So so unprofessional. If I could wait patiently with a wheelchair in line for my turn why couldn't she have patience with me???. My stuff fell out of the cart going out to the car. My wife and I love going to hobby lobby. My wife is very creative and loves decor so we usually go check out their decors for the house. Today, we went in to buy some yarn because she wanted to crochet something for a friend. The staff were busy stocking around that area and really didn't give a damn about customers. One zoomed past us and didn't say excuse me or didn't bother to move aside. Instead, my wife had to push me aside so she wouldn't get knocked over by this employee. After this incident, we decided we got what we needed for yarn, walked to the other side of the store and was almost ran over by another employee who decided to stop me, pull his cart in front of me just so he can go finish talking to another employee. If we didn't like hobby lobby, definitely would not come back. read more

Today was my first visit to the new Hobby Lobby in Clovis. I love that all the Hobby Lobby's are set up similarly to each other, so it makes it easy to find what you're looking for at any location. This HL is located in the old Toys R Us building at Shaw and Sunnyside. Today I just stopped in to purchase a gift card. I chose the style of card I wanted and the holder, then I was immediately called up to a cashier. Nice difference from the first HL to arrive in the Fresno/Clovis area where there was always a wait. The girl who waited on me was fast and friendly. It's nice to have multiple locations here now to make shopping at HL more convenient. read more

I've gotten many frames from hobby lobby and always been happy. This time Ii visited the fresno location for two paintings to be framed. When I dropped them off I had great service. Was told to come back on the 8th. So I'm here as I write now. I arrive to be told they are not ready we are working on them now. It'll be no more then 20 minutes. So I wait. I watch and Maria talks to the young man trying to work on my frame. She walks away and he gets back on it. She comes back out and tells him to come to the office. So I chime in letting her no Miss I have to be some where at 3 and was told if I waited it'd be done in 20 minutes. She said he's needed in the office you can speak with my manager if you'd like. I said oh yes I'd like. She come out and listen to what was happening. She got the two men on my two frames. I get things happen and we run late but when the customer drives here and is waiting you don't pull the 1/2 the framing crew off the project to lector him more on company politics. The manager handled everything very well and apologized so I raise this from one to two stars. I'd sure hope the Maria is no where near an assistant manager her customer service is horrible. Ok just raised it to 3 star. The two young men in the back were great. They knew I was running late. Walked me upfront got me checked out asap and carried the art out for me. The manager Sheryl has very poor customer service. Extremely rude to my very pregnant sister who had accidentally left her wallet at the store after spending $200 at this location. The woman refused to walk a few feet to retrieve my sister's wallet and told her, a pregnant woman, that she would have to stand there and wait for 20 minutes before the employee would go get the wallet. My sister had to have her husband go in and ask for the wallet. He very kindly requested the wallet so that they could leave and get their 10 month old son out of the heat. Sheryl told him "well feel free to leave and come back when it's cooler outside" and she still refused to get the wallet. This was such a simple request and the woman refused to do her job and treated her customers like crap. I'm shocked they received this treatment at a "Christian" store. read more

Was very impressed with the newest Hobby Lobby. All aisles were well stocked & clean. Hate to say but the HL on Blackstone makes me feel claustrophobic. This newest store is so nicely organized!! This store is where the old Toys R Us was. There is a large parking lot with ample parking. Shop local - stay safe! read more

Hobby Lobby often tricks its customers. Big sale signs on the shelves throughout the store but when it's time to check out, the items ring up at full price. There's always a catch. There's very fine print on the sale sign that most shoppers don't read so when you reach the cashier, you need to pay attention to what you are being charged for. I left a rather large purchase at the store and walked out again today. I'm getting to the point of not returning. read more
