Ambiance: A boutique that is very Joanna Gaines esque. Very big and sells home and housewares, books, accessories, candles, tea, women's and children's clothing. It's very spacious. Price: A little steep, but some items were fairly priced. I had a $20 gc for my bday and I love a good pair of earrings so I got a pair of earrings for $16 and some tea for $4 and only personally spent a little over $1 on my earrings and tea. This shop has such cute home items, baby toys, and clothes but oh my gosh way overpriced. The employee was kind. I was greeted at entry and check out. However the lady - did not hear one word. I ordered a dress and it was see through. I tried the dress on with no scent and they did not except the return as she said it had a scent on it. For the price of the item that is pitiful customer service. I did not have a scent on me. Read the fine print before ordering from them. read more

I've been a few times just within the last couple of months. The first time was a pleasant experience, there was a woman who worked there that was very helpful. The other two times, complete opposite experience. You get stares, no greeting. I went in to look for a plush toy for my daughter's birthday. I didn't find the one I was looking for, but ended up finding something else similar. The price was high for a plush, but it was a birthday gift. I won't return to this store ever again just because of the negative aura. I'd rather drive across town or shop online. Don't judge a book by its cover, I bust my tail and have money to shop in your store. read more

Attended a Hand writing class with Ashley and it was a wonderful experience, her knowledge and passion definitely showed through and was very hands on. It's also my first time visit the store and she was very patient and answered all our questions. I hope to attend another course with her soon. The biggest turn off though was that I was not acknowledged at all by the sales staff during the 5 to 10 minutes that I was in the store. Apparently they could not be bothered to greet me. I love this store! They have darling items and a diverse selection of pieces. They are my go-to place for baby gifts. Also, when I want a unique piece of clothing for myself, I love shopping here because the employees will recommend pieces and gladly look for the right size for you. This is definitely a unique little boutique. I went here with my sister-in-law to browse a bit. They have so many cute little trinkets. Their necklaces are really cute. The clothing is nice too, but they mostly carry Free People, which is definitely a little more on the pricey side. The sale rack is right outside the entrance. We didn't see it until we left. The only reasons I rated this a 4 star instead of 5 was because (similar to a couple of other reviews) they don't greet you at all. They weren't warm or welcoming in the slightest, not even when I was near checkout looking at more goodies. They have awesome stuff here but don't expect good customer service! read more

Gosh, I want to love the foundry. In fact, I do love the store and their merchandise. I love the location. I love the old town flea market that they put on twice a year. But they just are so unfriendly. I've been shopping there since we moved here a few years ago, despite the fact that their customer service is always lacking. Yesterday was probably my worst experience. I went in just after opening around 10:15 ish. Two employees there. The one at the counter did not say a word to me when I entered. The other one smiled at me when she passed me, but neither asked if I needed any assistance or made any attempt at conversation. After browsing a bit I politely asked to use the restroom, and when I came out I made a comment about how pretty it is in there and they both ignored me. Lastly, I am standing at the counter to pay and one employee is listerally five feet away from me looking at her phone. Another lady comes behind me to pay as well, we look at each other uncomforably, and the employee finally looks up and says oh sorry are you guys ready? At this point she is at least marginally nice and she apologizes and mutters something about looking for something for the store. I just don't get it. Upscale boutiques have a reputation for having this sort of cold environment, but in this day and age it is inexcusable. If I were the owner I would make it my mission to make sure every employee of mine knew how important it was to be kind and make your customers feel welcome. I won't stop shopping at the foundry, and was nervous to put this review up as I don't want to be treated any worse there, but honestly, aside from being outright barred from shopping there, I don't think it could get any worse. I truly hope the owner reads this and takes it to heart. I know they are an established shop and don't "need" the business of one person, but I also know I am not the only person who feels this way about shopping there. I've been here a handful of times and every time I have been greeted with attitude and dirty looks. I think they have cute items, but they are terrible overpriced. Thin sweaters for $98?? The new location has beautiful merchandise displays inside. The clothes are cute, but a majority of the items are "poor quality!" A lot of cheap polyester clothing at boutique prices. I saw pleather too (FAKE LEATHER). The majority of the necklaces had very thin chains that would easily break. The lady at the front desk was pretty icy, did NOT greet me or my mom for a while just "watched" us while we were looking at things. Another younger woman in the back by the dressing room asked "are you doing okay?" That was a lot nicer. Overall nobody had a warm personality or was friendly. I absolutely love this store. I needed a gift for a Christmas Exchange and wanted something special. I had seen The Foundry Collective when it opened, but, had not been in before. I was sure there would not be anything in the price range I was limited to. But, I was wrong. The store was full of beautiful and unique treasures, and in ALL price ranges. The sweetest girl helped me find the perfect item for my gift exchange. The store has clothing, even adorable plus sized clothes, home decorating items, baby... This is my favorite shop in Old Town Clovis! I feel inspired every time I walk in. I have taken my mother (from Indiana) and my mother in law here (from Wisconsin) and they both loved it, as well. Wandered into Foundry this weekend with my girlfriends. They were having a huge sale in their back parking lot, which is why we decided to check it out. What an interesting shop! Their items range from women's clothing, to home decor, candles, and even children's items. The perfect place to find a last minute gift. The girls that were working outside at the sale made sure we weren't holding our items for more than a few minutes. When we went inside to purchase, the line was wrapped around the whole store! Even with the busyness of the sale, the two cashiers were friendly and made sure to take their time with each customer they talked to. Absolutely love the new location and the store is gorgeous. I always find unique pieces for my home that are reasonably priced. The problem with the store is the customer service. They usually will say hello when you walk in but that's it. No one ever offers to help you find something whether for yourself or a gift. The ladies are usually too busy talking amongst themselves. For such a beautiful store they should consider training their employees to be more friendly and even try upselling which would only benefit them. I get better service at my local Target. read more

LOVE IT! This is a darling and enchanting boutique! I found it by accident one day. They have a lovely collection of clothes, jewelry, and a wide selection of scrumptious candles. They carry some Rifle Paper Co. products and other cute stationary and calendars. Their home section is amazing! (Plates, bowls, measuring cups/spoons, mugs, antique books, cloth napkins, coasters) They've got a good variety of antique-y and newer, trendy items. I really love the items in this store, it is one of my favorite places to shop. However, the customer service is below par. I previously worked in retail for 10 years + so customer service is something I always notice and appreciate. Unfortunately, each time I leave this store I feel as though I was a burden to the employees, they tend to answer questions in a condescending way and lack customer service skills. It is such a shame because I want to give this local store a 5 star rating but due to the employees they have working I can barely convince myself to go back in since every time I leave feeling the same way. They only have a few employees and they all lack these skills, in particular the blonde employee. I hope this is an area they can work on because I love their items and want to continue going back to support a local shop but I'm finding it harder to go in each time. read more

I used to really like the foundry! They have always had an excellent eye for clothing and home decor. As they have grown, they don't carry as many local things anymore, mostly companies from outside of the Fresno/Clovis area. I used to love to go in there to browse the local artist's work. Recently, my mom and I were in there and she tried to return a bag she had bought because it had foul smelling leather. Their return policy does not allow for refunds. I understand this for something that was purchased from a local vender, say a gold bar necklace from a local jewelry maker, BUT this was not a local item. I feel if they are not going to sell as many local things, they may want to consider reviewing their return policy. Many of the items I could buy online where I can return them if I don't want or like it. Like I said, great selection of cute things, but not the same as it used to be. My mom would have really liked to get her money back since it was the actual bag that smelled. read more
