After driving past this shop for many years I stopped in for the first time ever for battery replacement for a couple of watches. They had a secure entry (a good thing) and I was let in very promptly. Had time to scan the various showcases before it was my turn to be helped and once I turned over my watches it was a fairly quick turnaround. I haven't worn my wedding ring in about five years due to it not fitting. I went to a jewelry place at Fashion Fair Mall but after sending it away for two weeks, they told me they couldn't resize it due to a chip in the side of one of the diamonds. I'm glad I swallowed my pride and got the ring sized larger. They also replaced a prong that was missing. When I picked up my ring it was so shiny, like brand new! I stopped by their store today to get my new Rolex sized, they were great with customer service. I spoke with the owner, and we talked for a few minutes about how long I've known his brother Ara since back in the 90's. I had a nice time there reminiscing about their original store on the corner. Before I left they offered me these delicious cookies that his wife had made. I went to get a watch battery put in my Oakley Time Machine. They took my watch. They looked at it and said $50 for a watch battery. I asked if they were crazy.... it's just a watch battery. The individual behind the counter she told me it's titanium the watch. I said it doesn't matter what it's made out of and I know what it's made out of... I bought the watch it doesn't change the $.50 battery you're about to put into it for $50.00. I would have more respect if he would've just said, I don't have time to do it then give me some ridiculous price. I went to Rogers jewelers and they put a watch battery in for $16.00. read more

I took my original wedding ring that had been re-designed into something I didn't like to Karkazian. After it was redesigned, I never wore it and no other jeweler in town would work on it including the jeweler that redesigned it. Karkazians looked at a photo of my ring on my hand from my wedding day and was able to create the original look of the ring! It was truly amazing and I love my ring again. All I wanted was the ring my husband had chosen back and Karkazian gave me that gift at a very reasonable price. They are prompt, highly skilled, and do amazing work to customize or correct other work. I would recommend them for any jewelry projects. read more

I travel from Lemoore to Clovis to have my jewelry needs done here. I am a very impatient person and hate the typical 1 - 2 week turn around time most jewelry places take. I had my ring resized when I got engaged and then soldered when I got married and it was all done the same day! They even tightened up my loose diamonds and cleaned my ring for me. If you need to blame me to feel better about the horrible service I received, then so be it. You bet I yelled, I don't appreciate being insulted and because the fact of the matter is, I requested 3 things be done; repair the link (quoted $25), clean and polish my watch (quoted $100). The only thing done was repairing the link, yet I was charged $100. I specifically said I had just changed the battery 2 months before so I did not need a new battery, and there was no mention of changing the gasket. Since your repair man lied to me at least twice, you'll have to forgive me that I don't believe that anything else was done to my watch. I will not support a business that feels the need to make an extra buck by being deceitful and lying to its customers. read more

I'm writing this review a few months late because at the time things were very hectic and stressful and so I forgot but I did want to say what a wonderful experience we had here. In August my stepmom passed away very suddenly. It was a devastating loss and my family was heartbroken. My dad wanted to have her wedding ring sized so he could wear it on his little finger next to his wedding band to honor her memory and keep her with him always. My dad, my sister, and I went to the location on Fort Washington and the man there told us that he couldn't do it but he said that the man at this location could. He told us who to ask for and he called ahead for us so they would know we were coming. We walked in and my dad told him what he wanted to do and the man was very kind and said he could do it in just a few minutes. He finished it quickly and it was a perfect fit. The fee was very reasonable and my dad was so happy with the result. He hasn't taken her ring off since. That was an extremely difficult time for us and it meant so much to find people who were so nice and compassionate and who do quality work. The details of that whole week are very blurry so I don't remember the names of the guys who helped us but they really were wonderful so I just wanted to say thank you. read more

Every question I asked was answered better than I expected. I also have brought in my watch and it was handled with great care and in a timely matter. Don't get me wrong, there are a ton of nice Jewelers out there, but this place was amazing. I've only visited the Clovis location, but my experience was beyond what I imagined. After literally scouring Jewelers in the area, I found this place, called and went in, and told them what I was looking for. The Jeweler works onsite, and makes a mean ring! Extremely happy with the craftsmanship, and he even got it back to us early. Took an old wedding set in, and came out with a completely different and updated style. I have a mantle clock my refugee grandparents carted over from Germany during WWII. I'm sure the monetary value on the thing isn't much, but it means an awful lot to me. A few years back it started losing about 15 minutes a week, so I took it to Karkazian. It's a family-run business and they knocked themselves out to fix this clock. When the first repairer (dad, I think) couldn't get it to keep time, they - I kid you not - brought grandpa out of retirement to have a look at it. After they thoroughly cleaned and re-sprung the innards, they asked me if they could keep it for a couple of weeks to make sure it kept time from week to week. They took the fixing of this clock very, very personally. All for under $100. When I picked it up, the lady explained to me how to wind and change the time on the clock so as not to potentially damage it. You have to admire that kind of dedication. Anther time I dropped an expensive commemorative watch I bought in Bangkok on my tile floor. The crystal shattered and the all three hands got bent in the catastrophe. I thought is was ruined, but I was quite wrong. Karkazian's replaced the crystal and straightened the hands to the point that I can't tell that the hour hand was once bent at a 45 degree angle from the face. I can't remember how much they charged me for that repair, but I'm sure it wasn't more than $100. If you have time pieces that mean something to you, this is the place to go. read more

I felt I needed a second reputable jeweler opinion on a center diamond placement, as one of the six prongs on my new ring was shorter than the others. I was able to get the sixth prong heightened and my diamond was secured (as it was also loose in the prongs) to ensure it was placed safely, all within 20 minutes! The owner, or the owners son was kind enough to fix it the same day, which is definitely customer service! Will definitely return to this Clovis location for future purchases and repairs! read more

I took a very nice Tag Heuer Aquaracer to get the battery changed. That's where it started. After having the watch for a week I called to see if it was ready. I was told that this fairly new expensive watch had failed the pressure test. They showed me a video on an iPhone which was hard to tell if it was my watch or not. They could buy a new seal kit for $400! And to make it easy on them they would let me buy the parts to be installed after I told him I was going to have a real Tag Heuer rep check it out. I have to say that from the moment I met George I felt the hair on the back of my head go up!!! WELL LADIES AND GENTS, my Aquaracer went to a real watchmaker in Phoenix and guess what. The watch was cleaned and tested and it was found to be in perfect shape and tight to the rated 600 meters. The watchmaker simply said either he didn't know what he was doing or ripping you off. George has been in the business for almost 40 years so I'll let the reader make the decision!!!! Buyer beware folks. As a footnote, I was told when I inquired about the battery, that he would buff my almost new band for $125. The watchmaker did it upon inspection. I thanked him and he said it only takes a minute. At that rate this jeweler was charging me $7500/hr to buff my watch. read more
