They do re-organizing and restocking on a Saturday which doesn't allow you to shop. Employees, especially the manager are condescending, appear to want to help but not conscientious about the people waiting in line. They all seem like robots with the smile button on. The cashiers take very long because they're busy making friends with the customers. The store isn't what it used to be. It's a shame. I don't have hobbies like crafts, arts, painting, decoration etc. Seriously stores like this annoy me and then my face becomes green like a sour apple if I'm forced into this kind of crap... Ok I'll behave now and get to the point. For my Brother in law's wedding dinner somehow I got involved helping with the whole process. I had no clue where to get most of the decoration stuff for the center pieces etc. I got a few things from online options but with flowers, candle holders etc I wanted things to buy in person. One of my co workers mentioned this place how they had a ton of variety on decoration stuff. The thing I loved most about Hobby Lobby was that they have 5 aisles of fake flowers with a ton of variety. I ended up getting fake flowers for the cake and center pieces as well as candle holders, mirrors for the middle etc. The employees were helpful in telling me where everything was located. The store is big and offers classes as well such as sewing etc. I might start a hobby and you might find me in this store all the time. Ya right... However, I would consider buying more things from them for future parties. Their coupon they usually have is 40 percent off of one regular priced item, wish they would decrease the percentage and give discount on multiple items. Never been to a Hobby Lobby before. All I have to say is that it is overwhelming! I am used to Joann's having mostly fabrics, and Michael's having mostly crafts, but this place has it all! Crafts, fabrics, home decor... even furniture! The store is huge. It's a workout to walk the whole place. Don't come in here without a fitbit. The veredict: it's a little too much for me. Too many isles, too many things, You would think this is a good thing, but not to me. I like more concentrated specialty stores. What do I mean by this? Joann's Fabrics for example has a wide selection of fabrics, while Hobby Lobby carries fabric, but the selection isn't good. I don't know this to be the case in every department, and I didn't walk the whole huge store to find out, but it seems to me some departments carry wider selections than others. On the plus side, It is in a shopping center with many other shops, including Lucky's market. I may be back if I need something I can't find at the other crafts stores, or if I feel like a workout, but as of now, this isn't the place for me. Great store though. read more

This is an OK hobby shop. Plenty of cool supplies and entertaining hobbies are available for someone looking for a quick activity, or someone who is major into crafts. They even have an extensive model rocket section however rockets aren't allowed in this county except for once a month with a certain club. Regardless, overall the store is very nicely laid out. It's huge and in no time I found myself looking at things I'm usually not interested in just because most of the things available is fun. It's very clean, and what little interactive I had with customer service was pleasant. One personal turn off, and it's just my opinion, is it gives the appearance of being too pushy on religion. I don't judge or preach or try to push my religion, and what other people want to do is fine by me. It seemed almost 1/4 of the store was a little pushy towards it, and although it may appeal to some people it gave a weird vibe to me and I can understand why other people may not prefer that. The cost: - Though this store touts mark-downs and savings galore, it seems that the mark down price is what the item should be to begin with. I love this store and I've spent a lot of money! However, tonight I went through the line and paid for my things. I only had 2 small bags of wrapping supplies. The total was over 60 dollars! I told the male cashier---that's a lot for what I got! He logged off his cash register and I went to my car. I reviewed my receipt and was charged for 23 items instead of two. When I came back and found him, he seemed to already know. I then had to get back in another line and wait for my 20 dollar credit added back to my credit card. Believe it or not never been to hobby lobby ever until two days before this thanksgiving. Now the name sounds exactly like the merchandise in the store. It's right next to sports authority to which I have been going for a few years but I never ever noticed it. This place has everything you would ever need to set up your lobby or living space. As soon as you enter you have tons of flowers fake most probably on the right side and beyond you got candles, lighting and whatever your imagination can come up with. Not many employees were around but most probably because it was mid week and we went around 8 but whenever we needed help I was able to spot one. We've only been here 2x. Each time we found helpful sales people, and happily, left the store with exactly what we came in for. A couple of weeks ago, we wanted to frame something that was a custom size. We bought a do-it-yourself frame. They cut the glass & backing in less than 10 minutes. Yesterday, I was back in the store looking for beads & findings to make sone jewelry. To my pleasant surprise, most of the beads I wanted were 50% off! Some findings I wanted were not available. Let me just say that Hobby Lobby is heaven. Be prepared to go in and find things that you never knew you needed in your life. An Archies Comics heart shaped tin sign? Wow that would look great above my record player. A Coca-Cola thermometer? I don't have one of those... Oh my goodness, a pink Cadillac shelf that lights up? I'll take that too, I'll make room for it somewhere. It is the best place to go to when you need to find a gift. Different locations carry different items, but the Coral Springs location definitely has the best inventory that I have seen. It can be a bit overwhelming at first since there is so much to see, but it is truly worth it. Do a quick lap around the store to get a feel for it, and then go back to the sections that interested you. Some items aren't cheap, but if you search Hobby Lobby coupon on your phone, you will find a coupon for 40% off any regularly priced item to use right at check out. There are some ongoing sales though that I find to be quite helpful. Picture frames are always 50% off, furniture is always 30% off, and I have seen metal signs at 50% off too (not sure if its continuous but I'm pretty sure that it is). Also, I've learned it is helpful to check the website frequently for price reductions. If you buy an item and it gets reduced shortly after, they have no problem changing the price for you. I've always thought their sales make no sense because they do them so frequently. They might as well just price things as they are, instead of giving people a false sense of getting a sale. That's "marketing" for ya. But that's not even why I decided to write a review.. for someone who never does, it took me a lot to come on here. The girl ringing me up, Amanda was very very rude.. rolled her eyes multiple times at me and answered my questions with sass. She didn't want to do my return because I had a decent amount of items and when I was asking questions she was short with me and blatantly rude. Their return policy sucks, which I said I know isn't the staff's fault... just sucked that I was getting half the price for something I paid full price for but regardless I didn't deserve to be treated with such disrespect. I went in there in a great mood excited to purchase things for my gender reveal as a first time mom and left very upset and rough start to my day. All the stars go to the helpful employees who knew where everything was that I went there for. And especially to the management who was all over ensuring that the check out lines were all open and everyone pitched in to keep people moving. This is a huge deal, a great location (the check-outs) of excellent customer service. It was busy & seemed like everyone wanted to leave at the same tome and they were fast, and they were personable. I will go back to a store like this, they send you on your way happy. Other stores have 29 checkout lanes, 1 open & she's scratching her head looking at the ceiling and the line is long, those type stores we all know who they are, we go only if we have to. Back to Hobby Lobby, also the music was calm and not loud. It was not intrusive over thought of purchase. The only missing star is due to lack of merchandise. Store buyers: you have to buy a lot of drawer pulls of each kind. one dresser can need 8. It was almost impossible to find 8 matching that would work, meaning the length of the screw was not long enough to go through the drawer front, eliminating even more options. I think this could be a really big special section if you start over and plan bigger. I will go back after you get a delivery, I hope you are getting one. read more
