I recently graduated from college and was looking for a store to get my diploma framed. I saw that hobby lobby offers framing. I went in and was highly disappointed by the customer service I received from the sales associate Bill. He was rude/hateful and made what should have been an easy exciting experience disappointing. I opted to just do the framing myself due to his horrible attitude and how frankly mean he was even though I was so excited to finally professionally frame something I worked so hard for. I am not one to complain ,but he does not need to be in a customer facing position with such negativity about him. I wish anyone luck who attempts to get anything framed from this location and hope you have a better experience than myself. read more

The best part is I've rarely, if ever, payed full price. They ALWAYS have amazing sales. Usually 50% off. If something you want isn't on sale, wait a week or 2. It will be. I promise. Also, sign up for their weekly email and they will send you a coupon every Sunday. But don't try to use it on a Sunday because they are closed on Sundays, which is why they are losing a star. I am new to crafting so I have a lot of basic items on my list of wants and needs list. Michael's is much closer to me location wise but is more expensive and offers the same quality of goods. HobbyLobby offers the same 40% of coupon of one full price item as Micheal's regularly. This is the golden ticket for bigger ticket items. Also sign up for the frequent shopper program for special 'insider sales" and notifications on topics you are interested in. I went to this Hobby Lobby store for the first time this weekend. I hadn't thought too much about it, but when I walked in, I realized the Saturday before Thanksgiving probably wasn't the best day to go to Hobby Lobby. The lines went halfway back into the store and I could have cried. But it's a colossal pain in the neck for me to get to any Hobby Lobby in the Nashville area, so stick it out I would. I finished my shopping and went to stand in line, expecting to get fully caught up on all of the emails I was behind on. Check out at Hobby Lobby is a slow process, because they haven't made it to the 21st century and computers yet. I know this because I had the unenviable job of Hobby Lobby cashier in high school (admittedly that was many, many years ago). "No ma'am, I cannot scan the bar code to get the price. Why, you ask? Well, because I'm using the same registers my grandfather had in his hardware store a generation and a half ago." But I digress. It was 12:10 when I got in line. There were maybe four people ahead of me and it only took a few minutes for two of them to be processed out. When I looked up from my email backlog and realized how far I'd moved up in the line, I was kind of taken aback. Then a cashier came over to me and asked if I was just checking out or if I had any returns. Having no returns or exchanges, she said she was able to check me out at the next register. I went to her register, got rung up, took my buggy to my car, unloaded everything into my car, took the buggy back to the store, went back to my car, and looked at my phone. 12:20. It took only ten minutes for me to wait in line and get checked out at mid-day on a Saturday during the holiday season. This so incredibly amazing! I'm not sure what kind of sorcery they have going on at this store, but this is most definitely the only Hobby Lobby I'm going to from now on! The other stores need to take note, because this is the way to do it! Whatever it is they're doing. read more
