Service: First, the Brushfire team is incredibly polite and helpful, guiding first-timers through the process. While we're painting, they handle the glazing and firing of the pottery. The turnaround for finished pieces is about a week, but the studio holds onto them for up to a month in case you can't pick them up right away. Value: The basic studio fee is very reasonable; the cost mainly depends on which piece you choose to paint. Prices range from $5 to $80. We were immediately spoken to rudely, even to the point where the worker said herself, "I'm being snarky" and covered her mouth. I would say something like, "oh extra charge is okay!" And she'd said, "it doesn't matter if it's okay with you I'm going to do it anyway." She made comments about other visitors and how annoying they were. We were absolutely gobsmacked by the way she spoke to all visitors, especially those with children. She loudly shared she was tired and exhausted of kids because she has to watch a two year old grand kid at home. She even came by my table and one point and without asking began to touch my wet design. As an avid painter, I will be spending my money on other pottery locations in Clarksville. This is quite sad, as the other worker was SO kind. But the unprofessional and rude voice was much louder than any service we received.

We were probably in there for about 4-5 minutes before anyone came up to us which was fine. The woman asked us if we had been to their location before and we both said no. She then pretty rudely stated we needed to go wash our hands before we could do anything. The act of washing our hands was fine, it was just how it was said. She acted as if we were an inconvenience to her day. Also, if washing hands is major concern then maybe they should have someone greeting customers. There were maybe 5-6 other customers in the store already painting and they did not seem overly busy. We both washed our hands and went back to select our pieces. We both got a bad vibe so we decided to leave. Once we left my friend said she overheard the employees talking about us as she washing her hands. If you are looking for a place to paint pottery and don't mind the drive we both loved The Hot Spot in Springfield. They were super helpful and attentive and had lower prices than this store. Just come here and throw your life away!…read more Located on the Old School Farm property this cozy ceramics studio is a great spot for beginners and those with a few years of pottery experience. I practiced ceramics for about five years and then school, work, and life got in the way. Fast forward to 2019 and I'm back on the wheel thanks to OSP. The classes here are super chill and offer all the basic needs for a successful novice potter. There are about ten wheels here which includes three standing wheels. There's also a slab roller and clay molds for hand building, if throwing on the wheel isn't your thing. The classes here will run about $190 for eight weeks which includes tools, discounted clay, unlimited glazings, and kiln firings. If eight weeks is too much of a commitment, they also one-off date night classes so you can take the class for test run. I know $192 may sound steep, but this farm is 100% a non-profit organization. So you're not only supporting the arts, but also a fully functioning farm as-well. Friday are free days if you're enrolled in a class, but will cost non-students $6.50 am hour. Bonus, you can grab beers from the restaurant upstairs and bring them to the studio. Yay for clay!

The first terrible experience was in October with Kaitlyn from florals who was called to help with the registers since a line was forming. When I went up to her register her expression was annoyed and she was mumbling unkind things under her breath as if I couldn't hear her. It was loud enough that I could. I told her I'd wait for the other cashier. She proceeded to slam baskets and take out her unwarranted aggression out on items at the register before stomping away clearly very angry. I told the assistant manager Makenzie about this hoping to not have to leave a review like this. Now today, another team member named Gypsy (who up until this point was fairly nice) had a terrible attitude. Maybe she was having a bad day. I asked her to wrap up an item I was purchasing and she huffed and did so with a negative attitude as if this ask was a bother. It was an item that could be easily scratched. Toward the end of my purchase I asked where I could place the empty basket in an effort to help her and she condescendingly rolled her eyes and said "where you got it". Her tone and the way she said was unfriendly and had so much attitude. It was unprofessional to say the least. It's a shame that I have to leave this review and that this contempt and negative attitude towards customers is seeming to be a common occurrence. I'm not sure what's happening at this location to make employees so angry at customers just looking to make their purchases and be on their way.
